Comfort Inn Toronto Airport  

Good location for in-transit stop over on the way through Toronto Pearson Airport with an over-night connection.

Shuttle service was inadequate. This was the primary reason we chose the Toronto Comfort Inn. It was close to the airport and it had a free shuttle service BUT these two aspects turned out to be irrelevant because you have to call for pick up because the shuttle only runs once per hour otherwise. We called 4 calls to get picked up, None of the calls were answered by the hotel due to the line being constantly busy, The one time our call connected, after ringing for 8 times, we were cut off. It was very cold waiting outside hoping to see the shuttle. This was not possible for one of our party who had had recent heart surgery. The shuttle is not allowed to stop and wait for customers - it is a drive by and quick drop off or pick up service based on the call by arriving passengers. We hired a taxis to deliver us to the hotel at a cost of $21 for the 5 minute trip. Exorbitant! The first departure in the morning was 6am and we were told by the desk personnel to be in the lobby at 5 minutes to 6. We arrived at 5:45 am to find that the "first" shuttle had already left and there was a line up of six people already waiting for the next shuttle. This made for a very tense time because we had an early morning departure and needed to meet the 2 hour advance check in deadline for international flights. In the future we would pay more for an airport hotel with a continuous shuttle service and a larger capacity for passengers. Also, the morning complimentary buffet is not available until 6:30 am and this is too late for any early departure requirements. So the hotel is really only good for a sleep over "experience".

The restaurant/pub was good.

The bed sheets were old.....thin, greyish, not fresh. They need to invest in new ones. For the price, that was the only thing we did not like.

As mature travelers, ground floor room is preferred. Originally booked in on 2nd floor and this was overheard by another desk clerk and we were booked into a ground floor room. Thanks for the consideration.

A clean bed to sleep in. Shuttle to the airport.

Price quoted at time of booking was lower than price I was charged on the day. Staff of no help explaining why this should be. Dripping bath tap sound was annoying.

Front desk staff not particularly "warm". Also, a bit weird having breakfast in a pizza place.

The inside of the room was quite poor in my mind. The bathroom tiles in the bathroom were not straight and placed whereever . The light shades were loose and floppy. The tv was in front of the one bedroom and wouldn't tilt to the side so you could watch it.

The staff was very accomadating and helpful.

It is very close to the airport, the shuttle bus is good and takes you to the airport so you can catch a plane or get a shuttle bus to the city. Breakfast was included being cereal and rolls etc plus hot drinks, but they will make you a pancake if asked. The cafe at night did me a burger, fries with a slice of lettuce and tomato, plus a large cup for refillable fizzy drinks, good at $5.65 including tax (£3.70). It is I think two storey so you do not get a sky high room

Nothing really although I am used to Portugal which is cheaper, then again, for Canada the hotel was not that expensive
