TOO HOT Guests have to pay for parking ...REALLY !!!!
Very welcoming reception; professional staff; good room; good breakfast included in price.
The location of the motel
1-Most of the front desk staff are non friendly. 2-Breakfast was not good, only sugary options! 3-towels smelt smoke, although I was in a non-smoking room! 4-Room was very very noisy, in some nights I had to call the reception to report people are laughing, chatting at the corridor after midnight!
Good location, discount at Denny's next door.
Whole hotel reeks of cigarettes, despite being "non smoking" I am a smoker but don't like to stay in smoking rooms because of the smell, even the bed sheets and towels reeked!
The beds were fairly comfortable. The noise level was low considering it was close to the major highway.
Every thing seemed to be old and needed replacing or repair.
After 14 hours in the air it was adequate for my needs and was clean. Everything looked well used but was OK for a short stay. Breakfast was not a pleasurable experience - but then there is a good place to eat next door.
Late at night there were a number of shadowy figures hanging about late at night. No problems and no hassle but....!
I like the entrance, its clean.
The smell was not good. We felt dizzy because of the weird smell, the reason why my husband and I were not able to sleep well. We will not definitely come back here.
the beds were comfortable. Quite a central location
booked into a pet friendly room which I did not want. Staff was vacuuming at 930 am right outside the door
We liked the friendliness, cleanliness, ease of access, full amenities, great spaces and room for our canine friends as well. Quiet, polite staff and helpful with every detail. They even phoned us after we had a chance to settle into the room to make sure all was to our liking. How often has that happened in 30+ years of travel? Never! THANKS to the Calgary EconoLodge staff. We will definitely stay again when going through town in spring.
For a budget hotel, this one is pretty good. Staff is friendly.
Close to where I collected my hire car, very easy to get out of calgary
Could not turn the heating down
Nice location. Nice staff. Nice stay. It was our home away from home. We were comfortable and it was affordable. Our vacation was one of our best. The Canadians were friendly and we want to go back.
I didn't sleep as well as usual but we were worn out. We got up early and packed in as many activities as possible.
Clean and comfortable. the room was warm (midst snow storm). Everything was to my liking.
The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean.
One room had a very poor air-conditioner and it made sleep difficult.
beds were OK, I liked the sink outside the toilet area
carpet was terrible, noisy, very small,
Didn't like the idea of having to pay a damage deposit.
There was a lot of second hand and third hand smoke. I am a non-smoker and my eyes and sinuses were affected negatively. I would not stay there again.
Location was very good. Staff were helpfull. Room was a good size and clean.
Facilities were old and well used. Kitchen needed replacing.
It was the cheapest place in town I could find.
Very rough looking inside. Doors were kicked and didn't open easy. Screw heads were sticking up on the floor. They must have tried to screw the carpet down that came up.
-Free wifi -free breakfast -walk right out to car -quick check in/check out -a/c works well -flat screen tv -little shampoo/soap/conditioner -no bed bugs!
-Dingy smell in room -breakfast was lacking (just bread, jam, -some watered down juice and an apple) -sister econo-lodge is a block away, but it's a different hotel, sort of confusing -bathtub is slippery
Room was clean and comfortable. Very reasonable rates. Helpful staff.
There were significant clues that the motel is located in a high crime area. Heavy security.
Great location at the entrance to the hotel one speed road towards Banff and Saskatchewan, near the metro stop (easy access to the center of Calgary). Very friendly staff. My definitely come again. Larysa and Sergey, Winnipeg, MB
Good value for the price
The receptionist was very helpful and friendly. Very cheap motel so it's a plus for tight budgets.
The smell and the breakfast in a hotel room (no proper breakfast area); but also: no lift, hair in the bathtub...
the room was quiet
The tv and air conditioner didn't work very well
