Location is close to airport and three major highways. Easy to navigate around the city from this location. Bed very comfortable.
Very limited parking close to the hotel. Most cars are parked in a restaurant parking lot at the back of the property - more than a 60 second walk to the lobby. Decor very dated but acceptable considering the price.
The ignorant staff.
Close to airport Clean Shuttle service good
Bottom sheet did not stay on mattress Sink would not drain Curtain rod bent & curtain hangs off it
Staff at front desk were very good, efficient and helpful. Chambermaid was excellent
Parking is a conundrum. not enough and same cars park in prime spots day and night. Staff should park further and make way for guest parking
Friendly staff, good restaurant across the parking lot with bar to watch hockey game, great shuttle service, clean room, perfect for a budget airport hotel when you just need a place to sleep for a night at low cost.
Honestly, I had read so many bad reviews of this place that I was prepared to cope with whatever, and it was really all fine!
The address listed on the web page is not where the hotel actually is. Its entrance is on Rue Griffith, not Cote de Liesse. One can reach it through the huge parking lot on Cote de Liesse, but you've got to know what you're doing. I suffered really massive inconvenience because of this inexcusable screw up. Also -- The continental breakfast is sad. I skipped out after the first day to go to the Tim Horton's down the road instead.
Very old, rundown, bearly functioning place. I could not cancel my reservation ( booked online and arrived late) therefore I spend the night there otherwise I woud go elsewhere ! Very disappointed !!!!!
Almost every thing
The breakfast was not really fresh , and maybe need some improvement
Hotel is extremly dated and needs a overhaul. Im sure the carpet are pushing 40 years.
It was inexpensive. Although i believe it should be even cheaper considering the state of the rooms
They have smokers rooms. This is fine for smokers but it seems like the whole hotel smells like cigarettes
Staff were excellent! Very helpful! Rooms were a nice size
No fridge in rooms, very problematic with a continental breakfast and no Gluten-Free options. Breakfast was unappealing. Only 1 disabled parking spot. Rooms were COLD and unable to adjust thermostat.
The only good thing is the location.
Parking is terrible, very very dirty run down hotel. One day staff was nice and training a evening one that was nice. Scared to touch anything in the room it was so dirty. I needed to use the phone and it was so dirty you couldn't read the numbers on it!! Bathroom floor was filthy, carpet in bedroom old and so dirty with objects on it so we knew it had not been vacuumed. No heat, asked if we could have a cleaner room and the clerk said they were full. So asked the day clerk the next day and they had several empty rooms!!! Too bad because this could be such a nice hotel even if it was just cleaned up some!!! No way would you want to take your shoes off and walk on the floors in the bathroom or bedroom that is how dirty it was.
Room finishes are very old, dirty carpet and walls, old TV from 1960's, bathroom is very poor condition.
The breakfast is poor
The staff treated me like family in a very stressful time where I was being relocated without the compensation of my insurance company (Desjardins) who cover disinfection, decontamination and relocation while my walk-in closet with a large amount of visible toxic mold was demolished, my hardwood floors stripped reinstalled, rebuffed and varnished but not while the MOLD was still present. The entire staff knew my story and were so welcoming to me.
If the Econologde's outside appearance, parking, lobby entry, garden (with broken chairs) and worn out and a bit dusty and moldy carpet were spruced up a bit I would have remained there. But despite the maid's amazing cleaning, the room smelled not well aerated and dusty and a bit moldy. Being allergic I can tell I started sneezing there too; that's the only reason why I left. Loved the staff. Amazing people.
If you're looking for chandeliers and gold-plated cutlery, this isn't for you, and whilst it's old, it's clean, close to the airport and has a shuttle service to the airport. Comfortable beds, and good place to rest up before you continue on your journey.
I liked the stay and appreciated the complementary shuttle bus tothe airport
The continental breakfast... limited choice of cereals
it was dirty and had bedbugs!
The location is quite convenient as its close to the airport. The staff was courteous.
Cleanliness was a real issue as the carpets in our room were stinky. The heating in the room wasn't working. Told the staff who said "sorry can't help". No attempt to offer extra blankets or fix the issue with heating. Harrowing for my mother, who struggled to get sleep.
Staff, And how clean our room was Every Day!
No Microwave or small Fridge in our Room.
It's nice place
The entire hotel is in need of thorough maintenance and countless little repairs.
The price was right and it was close to where I was working. The hotel is somewhat drab but everyone on the staff I dealt with were smiley, friendly and helpful.
Hard to find. They give it an address on a main road but it is actually way in the back and originally fronted on the street behind. I had to park and ask in the restaurant they share the parking with. A seventies motel that has been closed in to look like a hotel but they haven't touched it since then. Carpets in the hallway dirty and need changing for example. The room was small but clean and comfortable.
Nothing was up to any standards I can concieve of. Perhaps the shower was fine.
The beds were uncomfortable, pillows were worse, the air unit was noisy and unable tom control (either on or off). When I asked for another room (which turned out to b only slightly better, but on the 1st floor) they moved me, which made me ask why they wanted me to schlep my luggage up a narrow staircase in the first place. I recommend you remove this as an option for your members, except in an emergency.
Near the airport and a quick shuttle service....was tired so didn't bother waiting for the shuttle to pick us up. Basic hotel...its an econo lodge, didn't expect anything else. Breakfast was pretty good for a budget hotel.
Bit difficult to find even for the taxi driver.
