Score from 94 reviews Very good
Clean, cozy and cheerful room with kitchenette. Had a sofa hide a bed in addition to a very comfortable bed. Close to some very scenic waterfront areas in Oyster Bay/Campbell River. Friendly owners!
The kitchen had dishes, toaster, coffee maker, stove, microwave, etc. Very well equipped for small meals
second floor but not a big problem
Proximity to highway
Tap handle came off in my hand, rust in bathtub where enamel has perished. Access to beach is by way of rickety stairs - use at own risk!
Good Value and very helpful owners. Nice spot with a beautiful view.
The couple who let their yippy little dog run all over the place a no A/C.
Excellent staff, which assisted us in getting the right room for our travel plans.
A small motel, very clean and tranquille. Perfect if you are looking for something not to expensive and you can cook your meal. Only 20 min away from downtown Campbell River.
No screens in the patio door or window could not leave them open at night and no air conditionning. Not that you really nedeed it if you could leave the window open.
The view out of our room #8 was a panorama across the Gulf of Georgia towards the Coast Mountains on the mainland. Quite spectacular in the evening Sun.
The steps to the beach were very long and quite rickety. We didn't make it to the bottom because of the thought of having to climb back up.
Very good quality for the price. Clean, quiet. I loved the kitchenette. We made breakfast and coffee every morning. It was nice not having to leave the facility for meals. We purchased fresh fruit and veggies from the fruit stand and kept them in the fridge-great for snacking. The owners of the motel were very nice. The location was very good, between Campbell River and Comox/Courtney. I would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again.
That the hotel is on a cliff and you had to walk down many stairs to get to the water. There is no beach per se, but you can walk on the river rocks when the tide is out. The mattress on the bed was not good quality.
Facilities were very dated. Office was very low quality. No AC. Was charged for my daughter to sleep on very poor quality hide-a-bed.
Nice layout, lovely view & quiet.
Bathroom had a smell around the toilet. Everything else was very clean.
New fridge slept well friendly helpful staff location in quieter area close to grocery/liquor store Price was good, posted price was 10 less, but I was charged my reservation amt. quiet other people staying
Hot water had been off, plastic cup held under it was jetted out of my hand due to pressure coming on, was fine after that. Hot water VERY hot. Bed squeaky springs. Couch/hide a bed had tears, chairs hard surface to sit on, TV up high for neck comfort. I was charged 10 more than the posted price
The room was actually a small suite - dated but a really good value for the money! The steep stairs down to the rocky beach provide an excellent payoff during low tide - there were amazing tide pools with sea stars, sea cucumbers, and we even saw an octopus! We liked being able to provide our own meals (the kitchen came with pots, pans, plates, etc)
The couple that owns it.
Too many steps to beach, the kitchen sink backed up when upstair kitchen sink emptied. They were nice to not charge us for 2 days we decided not to stay and we found another motel only 10 dollars more and right across the street from beach no stairs.
The room was quiet and there was easy parking as you would expect from a motel.
In our room the blinds were broken and the heater had fallen off the wall. Very little space to walk around the bed and access the wardrobe.
The rate is very low, for a reason.
Very dated. Furniture needs replacement. The nicest thing in the room was the television.
The location was marvellous with a stairway to the beach and a firepit at the bottom. It is small therefore quiet and staff was very good
The pull out bed next door in my friends room had mouse droppings under the mattress and there was no phone. There was no ice or vending machines
The Kitchen was good, nice view, comfortable bed, good location, pleasant management, nice atmosphere, quiet, nice TV, clean.
The chairs and couch were a little uncomfortable.
Stove, fridge, big clear HGTV, friendly staff, beautiful view.
Found this nice motel at the last minute for a quick stay and was very pleased with the experience there. Clean room, comfortable bed and great value for the price. Would stay again without hesitation.
Nice family owners, easy to find,
old and peeling paint, modest-poor tv offering, old bathroom facility, uncomfortable furniture,
Great little hidden gem of a motel No frills but everything you could ask for at that price. Full kitchen , ocean view and the owner was very gracious .
It was a nice place to stay. My dogs love the beach and so did I. You cant ask for anything more for the price. I will be going back.
No plug for the tub.
The motel is located on a beach-front lot, about 60 stair-steps from the island's rocky beach. It is very clean and quiet, and the owner is a sweet lady. The kitchenette has all of the necessary cutlery, pans, and dishes, as well as dishwashing detergent and a dish towel. The bath towels are very good quality, and there is nearly instant hot water in the shower, which has a satisfying controllable stream.
There were not enough blankets for the cold weather, and no facial tissue in the room. The only place to walk without driving, is down the 60 stairs on the rocky beach. I hadn't brought my rocky beach footware on the trip. Restaurants and other services require driving.
Easy going motel, laundry, wifi, kichenette with reasonable pricing. The beach ist very pleasant for a walk!
A little playground and an awesome beach.
