I had a very large room with Queen bed and kitchen facilities and also a sofa/bed. It is close to downtown and the canal. They have a nice little coffee shop with excellent service.

The hotel is in an excellent location in Downtown Ottawa just behind City Hall and it is only a 10 minute walk to the Parliament Buildings and the Rideau Centre, The suites are large and comfortable. The hotel is looking tired and could use with some updating in its decor. While the staff were very friendly and accommodating, it would benefit from a basic business centre.

* Location was great * Close to downtown, Rideau River, Parliement, Museum * Close to Bus stop (line 97) direct to/from airport * Sauna in the basement * Room is very big * Great view (ask for top floor) * Clean * Comfortable bed * Very safe * Balcony * Ventilation not working properly. It was November, and I slept with windows open as I was not able to stop the heat coming from the ventilation * Cigarette smoke came from next room through the ventilation system. Really bad. * Carpet full of stains (it is clean but just old) * Room looked old in general (old sink, old oven, old fridge) * Sites advertise for free shuttle from/to airport. It is NOT the case. They no longer do offer that service. * staff could be friendly (not rude but seems like a chore to them when you ask a question)

Hotel staff gave us executive room. It provided one two-beds room, living room, dining room, kitchen room, bath room, washing room and laundry room. Hotel location was marvelous, close to central sightseeing spots. Hotel staff was very kind. Everything might be very gorgeous, but it was very old facility, needs renovation. At the checking out time, hotel showed us over charged invoice. It was not same rate as our booking rate at Booking.Com. They asked us to sigh up instantly, but when I showed them booking confirmation sheet, they amended it. We think this hotel is not fair. Customer has to be careful about it, when he/she check out.

I was given a large room with a lot of space for my two children and myself. It was clean and comfortable. It also has a balcony which added to the pleasure.

The room was very large. The hotel is a renovated apartment building. There was no heat. The front desk claimed that it took two days to move from ac to heat. This is obviously untrue. It was freezing (12c or 60f).

The room at Embassy Hotel & Suites is spacious for a family like us and it also provides all the necessary kitchen appliances for cooking. The hotel itself is very close to the City Hall, the University of Ottawa, and the Rideau Center. I would recommend it to others who just come to Ottawa and wait for moving to a new place. It is really worth the money.

It was conveniently located close to the church where the wedding we were attending took place as well as to the Legion Hall where the reception was. The suite was large and could easily have accomodated another couple if we had been travelling with other family members. The furnishings were lovely and I wished that we could have stayed longer. When I travel to Ottawa again I would book with you again.

The proximity of the hotel to locations in downtown Ottawa Room looked a little tired and when moving a couch to be able to see the tv properly, I noticed the floor under the couch had not been vacuumed in a while (lots of crumbs, mess and an old cushion under the couch). Also, the couch in the tv room is a bit dated, the upholstery needs to be replaced.

It was convenient for what we were attending in the centre of Ottawa, and equally it would suit anyone who wanted to visit the major attractions of Ottawa (all within about 10 minutes walk), or who had business in the centre. The rooms were clean and comfortable (we had a suite) and the maid service friendly and It was also quiet considering it's proximity to the centre of Ottawa. The kitchen in our suite was at best 'faded', (in reality rather shabby), and badly in need of being replaced and updated. There was enough storage space for about a months groceries - somewhat overkill we thought, but there were adequate utensils and crockery. The other major shortcoming was that the bar/restaurant closed on Friday evening for the weekend (lack of business was quoted as the reason). So if you wanted to arrange to meet anyone you would have to either meet in the lobby or elsewhere in the city. Not good if you're a stranger to Ottawa and only there for a weekend.

Excellent location right next to City Hall. Our room had a balcony with a very nice view. Rooms have fully equipped kitchens (appliances, cookware, dishes etc.) which is very convinient. Bedroom was ok, living room and kitchen looked pretty outdated though. When we arrived our room was still occupied by someone else. They upgraded us but had to put us on the smoking floor (my husband and I are both non-smokers). Though they did put a machine in to get rid of the smell it was still there.

I had in mind a smaller room, I was surprised by the size of the appartment. We could have been 5 peoples without stepping on each others. Close to everything also was very practicle. No parking or with an extra $

The room was large and the hotel is reasonably well-located though next time I will probably stay closer to downtown. The parking was full when I arrived so I had to park on the street and go out early to move my car and then every hour after that to feed the meter until I checked out. This was a significant inconvenience. I've stayed at other downtown hotels in Ottawa and not run into this problem so I wouldn't stay here again.

booked 6 rooms for a wedding nearby. We had large suites and were able to host a night before party for 45 people. The full kitchen enabled us to store, prepare, and serve food and drinks. The hotel provided extra wine and drink glasses, plates and platters as well as serving tables and linens. The location is quiet, yet near the canal and downtown, we were able to watch the Canada fireworks from our windows and balcony.

Very glad to get the last parking space in your garage; for that I came in late morning; excellent. Our suite 704 was very spacious, comfortable beds, all was clean and it was quiet. For one night we did not use kitchen, but the facilities are there and for a longer stay this is good. The hairdrier was broken and I mentioned it to a very friendly female receptionist. All in all very good value for their present fees. Location is stellar. Receptionist could have been a bit more charming, but he was efficient and got me the last parking space. The breakfast at the resto was rather below standard with bad, lukewarm coffee, but all in all it was ok, and the waitress was friendly and knew her job. I would prefer to pay a bit more for a better bf. At least the coffee should be improved - a new machine which heats well!
