Just a 2-minute drive from Ottawa, in Gatineau's downtown business district, this water-front hotel places guests only moments from the city's most popular attractions and provides many modern...

was a nice big room, LOCATION was great, will be back soon...
all was good it was a short visit, but nice bar,, REST, and the staff were nice, will be back
When I checkedin the hotel. They blocked one week cost approximately 851$. While I checked out after 6 days. Again they were swiped amount 800$ unnecessary. My goodness, my bank didn't allow the second time charge. After that they realized that already blocked and charged the amount 851$. For their mistake, My credit card was blocked and not withdraw the amount. Still I haven't received any receipt from this hotel. I felt that hotel management is very poor.
The location is good, especially if you are going to University of Ottawa.
The bathtub had hairs and the whole place was rather dated.
Even though this is an older hotel, the facilities were clean, modern and it had a well appointed kitchen.
did not like the $13.00 extra fee for parking. It was not mentioned in the check in information. Small thing, but annoying, the kitchen had a keurig machine which was lovely, but the tiny cups that came with the room were way too small for a decent cup of coffee, it was undrinkable because the machine is not adjustable and the coffee was too strong.
Location in the heart of Ottawa. Friendly & professional staff. Great value for price. Unpretensious base when visiting Ottawa.
Expensive breakfast, ate nearby. I still resent paying $14/day for parking.
Location! Location! Location! Large spacious rooms full kitchen.
Old facility Understaffed restaurant- waited forever to be served breakfast- gave up and left. No parking
The whole facility was a bit "tired" looking Needs refurbishing.
THE STAFF WERE EXCELLENT & EXTREMELY HELPFUL. I HADN'T BROUGHT MY COMPUTER WITH ME, & ALEXANDRA WENT ABOVE & BEYOND IN HELPING ME FIND AT LEAST 7 OR 8 TELEPHONE NUMBERS. NOTHING SEEMED TO BE A PROBLEM FOR THE STAFF. IT'S ONE OF THE REASONS I KEEP COME BACK. I THINK THIS WAS MY 3RD TIME.
THE ONLY PROBLEM I NOTICED WAS THE SCREEN ON THE SLIDING DOOR NEEDED REPLACING, AND THERE WERE SOME LARGE DARK OILY LOOKING SPOTS ON THE CARPETING. I ALSO THHOUGHT A TOASTER COULD COME IN HANDY. OTHERWISE THE PLACE IS VERY GOOD. I WAS PLEASED TO SEE THAT THE RESTAURANT IS NOW OPEN ON WKND. MORNINGS.
The location is very good. You can walk to the Parliament Hill, the National Arts Centre, and the Rideau Centre within ten minutes. There is a supermarket and a 24-hour open restaurant along the Elgin Street within a few minutes walk.
Kitchen need to repair, cabinet are old; most of door are loose and almost falling apart.
I enjoy the location from the start and finish of the race as well as the low cost.
I didn't like not being able to request a one hour later check-out this year even if I offered to pay.
Fridge and stove in the room. Comfy bed. Great staff. Good size room.
The room was freezing cold. It was cold outside, but the air conditioning was still running full force. Could use a microwave. Normal daily rates are expensive. I booked it because of a last minute deal on the internet (less than half price).
Explore the Rideau Canal locks to the Ottawa River and visit parliament all within a few minutes walk. Easy access to airport along the canal drive to Bond Street or Bronson. Easy driving access to Little Italy and walking access to Downtown. Very quiet. Good restaurant and little bar on site.
Could use a little brightening up in stairway from parkade to lobby. Kitchens slightly dated but great to have for convenience.
I liked the location and the ability to have a kitchen, it was roomy.
It was all good.
Late check in.
The location couldn't have been better for the Canada Army Run.
It would have be nice if they offered some kind of discount or something for the runners and to promote this.
The room was spacious and very comfortable, and the front desk staff very helpful. Also the location was good, being right downtown.
I had requested that my room be cleaned after our first night, just making the bed, replacing the coffee I'd used etc, but the housekeeping staff didn't do anything in my room, only going so far as to put the sign I'd hung requesting that the room be made up back inside the door.
no lundary insid suite no breakfast include value
The hotel is quiet, the bed is comfortable, the kitchenette saves me money in what is a relatively expensive city, and the hotel is close to all of most places I visit in Ottawa..
I can't think of anything I dislike.
The only thing that we enjoyed at our stay was the location. We were able to LEAVE easily. Its in a great spot in downtown Ottawa, close to all the tourist attractions, like Parliament and Rideau Shopping Centre etc.
- The dated carpets, stained, smelly - The dated stove/oven - A lot of wasted space - the small breakfast table & 2 chairs, and then in the living room there were to lounging chairs and another small table. They were a few feet apart - The bathroom door was rotted at the bottom, and there was a (no exaggeration) spot where the paint was peeled off, the size of a very large dinner plate - The internet connection on the 7th floor was very weak - the beds were fine, the sheets were clean but the closet door was completely broken and off its hinges. We have a very curious 2 year old and that was just plain dangerous Honestly, I could go on - we were very uncomfortable to say the least. The next morning I asked about switching rooms and the man at the front desk was the most irate, crabby older man. Just my presence seemed to anger him, and he was abrasive, and beyond rude. He told me to go on with my day, and he could see what he could do. I left completely unsure what that even meant. We later came back, and our daughter was asleep and we needed to know if we were switched to another room. I waited, and another front desk staff told me to wait because I was dealing with that man before (he was busy on the phone) so I waited. While I was waiting, I was looking at some texts on my phone. I didn't realize he was off the phone, but when I looked up - he was glaring at me and says "I am supposed to know everything now?!" I said, "excuse me?!" I was SO confused, I'm only assuming because I wasn't paying attention to him when HE was ready he decided I was the one being rude because I was on my cell phone. Unbelievable! I was shocked, I said that comment was not necessary and he gave me a half apology, and told me they were able to switch our rooms. I said thank you and left. After that moment, I didn't go back to the front desk for anything, because not only was I offended I felt completely uncomfortable.
Perfect location, sizeable rooms.
The hotel is very run down. Cheap but clean, with far higher rates than the facility merits. The bed was supposed to have been queen or king size, but was a double; staff were unresponsive. Washroom without a fan, cheap plastic shower curtain that doesn't stay in place, door that jams, toilet that doesn't flush properly, tattered carpets and smelly curtains. I couldn't wait to get out of there.
The old pictures on the wall, people in bikes/Kitchen in room, coffee maker.
A room without balcony.
