Very safe and secure.
It was very nice to stay at this hotel. Oceanview was excellent. Awesome location that everything was in walking distance. I would be very happy to return. Thank you for everything.
My wife says. The one spider we found in the living room.
Location. Ample suite (a cut-up studio apartment). Nice view.
Nickel-and-dimed over parking. If you pay the $10 for a 24-hour onsite parking space, you should get the the full 24-hours -- checkout notwithstanding. Don't give me baloney about "other guest needing the space;" ours was the only car in a 15-space underground garage.
The room was big
Closing the door of the hotel at 12 am
Spectacular view 4th floor and location. Opening windows. Helpful staff. Value for money.
It was surprisingly really nice inside our room! Very big and good value for what we paid. The man at the front desk was also very nice.
The outside of the hotel looks kind of sketchy and old.
1. Location: 2 blocks from English Bay and the seawall in Stanley Park with many and varied restaurants and cafes in the immediate vicinity. 2. Very reasonable price for location. 3. Clean comfortable spacious room with kitchen facilities.
1. Another lamp or overhead light would be helpful. The room can be a bit dark on occasion, especially in winter.
Decent kitchen large fridge and freezer also has stove.
Had a stain on the pillow bed frame was broken on one of the beds and I didn't like that you were given keys instead of a crd to enter the hotel room.
We have stayed here before as they have large rooms (i.e. 3 queen beds & full kitchens) which are good for large families or groups travelling together. It is within walking distance to English Bay and the entrance to Stanley Park. There are many good restaurants, grocery store & shops along Denman as well.
The decor is very outdated, some of the furniture was run down, only 2 burners worked on the stove, and the bathroom tub surround was grungy. Not filthy, but not that clean either. The chamber maid staff were repeatedly knocking on the door for cleaning although we still had over an hour before check-out.
Close to many shops & restaurants.
the beds were excellent, firm and comfortable, the location in English Bay was great. For what we were after it was a great room
Parking was a problem it seemed the first come first served did not apply to staff........ just on the guests.
Room smelled musty.
Good location friendly staff
Great location, adequate facilities, clean, large suite for 4, inexpensive lodgings with kitchen and enough room to kick back. Staff made beds each morning.
The building is a tired, 1960's walk-up with singles, doubles and suites...its facilities are old, but still working...it is not the ritz. Heating was either too hot or too cold. We did not interact with the staff much...but that's OK. It met our expectations.
Location Excellent wifi
Everything is dirty except bed and towels
location, location, location. On busy street but rooms pretty quiet. Very secure parking
We have stayed often and notice that there's not much upkeep--awful carpets, same little things broken but working, etc. Entry to Parking is odd and archaic. Quite handy but you walk a lot in building, carrying your luggage.
Good location with good bus connections. Excellent view of the ocean and very close to Stanley park.
Bed was saggy. Dishes were not clean, had to request sops to wash the dishes prior to using them.
The location to the ocean
layout of room. kitchen. view of water. basically got a small studio apt for the price of a hotel room.
room was dirty. oven door fell off. no remote for the TV itself (remote for cable box was there).
Full water view from large window, very comfortable with nice quaint setting, quiet street at night for inner city, lots of great restaurants nearby. Wifi was good. The management carried all of my luggage up to the room as I was holding an infant. The parking is secure, but not suitable for a large truck, very narrow entrance.
This hotel would have been excellent except the floor had not been cleaned as well as other areas in the bathroom. I hope the management addresses this because it was otherwise a very pleasant stay.
The view but I think we got lucky as we had a corner 'apartment'.
No parking for larger vehicles. The glasses in the kitchen were dirty; I had to wash them before using them. But there was a good supply of dishes and pots/pans. The floor didn't appear to be vacuumed after the last guests; there were old raisins in the living room and an old gummy or wine gum or something in the bedroom. Last time I stay there. I counted down the nights until I could vacat. Giving up $450 was not an option. Cancellation policy stinks as did the lobby and halls. Worst hotel I've stayed in. Very hesitant to use booking.com again if they have these types of hotels.....
Location, close to the waterfront
The bathroom was digusting. Toilet seat was dirty, hair in sink. Carpet was not vacuumed well. Asked for bleach, to clean bathroom, front desk looked and could not find any. Said maids had already left! Looked as if no one had bern in room for months dust and grim covered end tables lamp shade and remote. If your into cleanliness don't go here
loved the location, and the kitchen option - though we didn't use it. parking was reasonable and handy. location was awesome.
some late night noise, not the best beds, and not the cleanest room.
