In Montreal’s Latin Quarter, this modern European-style hotel is one block from Quebec University at Montreal and the Berri subway station. It has an on-site restaurant and free Wi-Fi.

Convenient location, walking distance to historical city centre; Wi-Fi was available in my room (on the ground floor); Reasonably clean; Staff willing to help, even though English is poor; Excellent water pressure in the shower
Very thin blanket; Rather small room; No view from the window; these to be expected at this price level. Not a lot of smiles from owners and staff - but may be it is typical for Quebec?
This is a pretty basic hotel but it has everything you need for a short stay on a budget. The facilities are basic but totally adequate and comfortable for a no-frills accommodation experience.
Everything was alright. Not noisy, comfortable and very well-situated. The staff speaks English and they're extremely helpful. If you don't intend to spend much time in your room, this is a good place.
Breakfast was clearly a minus. But honestly, it's Montréal so you can just find a nice cafeteria and that is it.
location and value for money
dark in the room at 18
Near the city centre, coach station and metro Berri-UQAM. Relatively quiet hotel.
location price breakfast croissant
wifi could be a bit faster rooms are small
The hotel was great value for money. The rooms were clean and cleaned well every day. Staff were helpful and nice. We were told to keep the noise down once which was fair as it was after 11pm. Great location for sightseeing and restaurants. So close to the bus station. Would definitely stay here again.
There was a rule to keep noise down after 10 which was annoying but fine, wifi ok.
--Smoke free room --Big enough room - stayed with 2 other people. (each had a drawer to put clothes and belongings in dresser) and a couple hangers. We also had two double beds -- Flat screen tv to watch some shows on cable -- Enough hot water to have a decent shower(only stand up shower was in our room no tub) --Close to many restaurants, fast food places, stores and bars and approx. 30 min walk to Eaton Centre. -- Very clean hotel (the carpets, bathrooms, etc.) --Beds made everyday by hotel -- Free breakfast in morning was decent (when we went it was a large muffin and croissant with tea and coffee or orange juice). Definitely saved us a couple bucks each morning. --Computer in lobby available to use --Only $223.00 including tax for 3 people for 3 night stay - worth it!
-- We couldn't access the wifi from the basement room(if you go to the lobby it connects) -- My bf and friend said they had a couple bumps on there skin during the weekend. It may been spiders, or possibly bed bug bites. It was odd because we checked the bed lining when we got there and we saw nothing. I still don't know what they had a reaction to but I would wash your stuff after you stay here just in case. I would stay here again because it was a good stay though.
Close to Metro Berri, Bus Station, and rue St. Denis. Room was very clean. Relatively quiet, even on a weekend.
The front desk guy wasn't at all friendly. Mattress wasn't flat; made sleeping difficult and the next day painful. The room smelled so strongly of cleaning products that I had to air it out. The clothes in my duffel even smelled of these products the next day! Breakfast area too small for everyone to sit. Trash-strewn street.
I liked the cleanlessness and the place is so quiete to relax.
I would prefere you change a bit the breakfast. You could add eggs.
-close to the subway station.. with the highest crime rate -the table lamp was slightly cool
-very heavy cigarette smell that made me cough the entire time and made my clothes smell -mould in the mini fridge -cigarete burns in the bedsheets and toilet seat -shower was not cleaned and had pink mould -there was raspberry jam spread on the bed cover -the wifi was really bad and intermitent signal -the carpet was so filthy I didnt dare take my shoes off except for bed -the place was generally disgusting and I probably now have cancer
The location is close to Old Montreal and subway. The staff was ok, however one guy spoke very little of English. Breakfast was ok, but note a man will want to eat after an hour or so after such a breakfast.
The room was very small (other hotels have bigger rooms for the same price), poorly ventilated (definitely won't recommend going there in summer).
When we came from our tour in downtown,we saw our room was organize so it meant that they came without informing us!we also didn't any "make up room" sign. It's not safe in this hotel.
The location is great.
Super dirty, super small and really rude.
We couldn't sleep the whole night as bed bugs bite and it was itchy. Small in the room is terrible even so it was non smoking one. Would not recommend anyone to stay in this hotel.
Clean room, 24 reception
Only if you have a stuffy nose, you can stay this stinky place.
Never imagined such a bad place in Montreal.
Great location, close to main bus terminal and Metro station with the most line options
For the price - not a lot
No air condition, it was very hot in the room. Electric was not working properly. We could not sleep because of the heat.
LOCATION..STAFF EASY TO TALK WITH..CONVENIENT..REASONABLE PRICE
Not very close but still in walking distance from major sites. Public garage just around the corner. Friendly stuff.
Modest and each day the same breakfast.
Parc milie-Gamelin is a little dicey at night very small and minimal room, but served my needs
Very friendly staff.Very clean and everything near, like Shops,Metro and Retaurants
We ordered a 3 and half hour sigthseeing tour with Grey Line and they Grey Line said it was the Hotel mistake that they never found our Names on the list for this sigthseeing tour.About this I am very Disappointed but can't tell who made the mistake. We ordered this tour through the Hotel so we where very angry and sad and actually missed some nice places in Montreal.
Centrally-located close to shopping, activities, but on a relatively quiet street with a number of other hotels in the same area.
Immediate area is very sketchy (drug dealers, prostitutes, etc.), and the room is minuscule compared to the price that you are paying per night
