Friendly staff who went over and above to make our stay warm and relaxing.
Nice breakfast with room service.
No coffee in the room. Limited availability in lounge.
The service was exceptional and the ambiance divine. For anyone with an appreciation for history and warm hospitality this is the place to stay.
Internet was slow if multiple users were on line concurrently.
Lovely large Victorian bedroom with fireplace and jet bath. Excellent location, but most of all wonderful innkeeper who kept us happy and well fed. Sumptious breakfast. Good information. All in al, excellent.
I have stayed at the Fairholm on two occasions and on both visits the hospitality was warm, breakfast healthy and fresh, the accommodations clean and beautiful and the overall experience simply terrific. Highly recommended.
I could only stay one night on my most recent visit.
The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was large and very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and quite substantial. Great care has been taken in room decor true to the historic period of the inn.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. They served an outstanding breakfast in a charming dining and sitting room. The Inn is close to many good restaurants, historic buildings, and entertainment. I felt very at home in the B and B.
I booked a king room with fireplace in the historic house; instead was put in the modern Clark addition. If I'd wanted modern I would've booked a modern hotel room.
Beautiful building and grounds, close to restaurants and shoppes, excellent breakfast
We liked it all
We looked for something different and we found it. We were so pleasantly surprised. Awesome stay, great breakfast and very pleasant atmosphere.
The central location lovely rooms great beds and lively mansion. A nice place to stay in a gorgeous city. Charlottetown is a beautiful place. The food is fabulous with much consideration for local growers local fisheries and organic choices. The inn has an additional building just built. They offer an ok breakfast. Great strong coffee. Love the evening fire pit.
There was nothing we did not like.
Breakfast was amazing - quite possibly the best, locally made breakfast sausages we've ever tried. Omnipresent cookies and tea were appreciated at all hours. Our room was like stepping back in time, yet with modern amenities in the bathroom. Aveda bath products were fantastic (love the rosemary and mint scent!). The staff was amazing - friendly, knowledgeable, great recommendations.
If only it hadn't rained while we were there - we would have loved to spend an evening enjoying their outdoor fireplace, unfortunately, mother nature had other ideas. The beds are antiques, a little on the squeaky side, but clean and relatively comfortable. A nonfat option for yogurt and milk would have been appreciated, but that's hard to find anywhere in the Maritimes.
We were made to feel welcome the instant we walked in the door. Excellent food, convivial surroundings - overall an outstanding experience.
That we had only booked 2 nights!
breakfast was wonderful as was host
our room was dark, dusty, had a few spiders joining us. Ash left in fireplace???
Stayed in apartment in new annex, Clark House. Spacious and beautifully fitted out. Showers, bed and kitchen, laundry facilities all top notch. Enjoyed breakfast at Inn. Convenient to walk to best restaurants - Lot 30, superb and Sims, best oysters and steaks.
Staff are very, very helpful. Great location. Warm and inviting atmosphere.
Wi-Fi was episodic. A church across the street had a very bright light all night.
We decided to stay here at the last minute and we absolutely loved it! The location is literally a 2-10 minute walk from nearly everything in downtown Charlottetown. The staff was superb and very helpful and their complimentary breakfast is simply to die for - in a totally different league from the stale pastry and coffee at other hotels. Internet access was seamless, the outdoor gazebo was very pleasant to sit in and enjoy and you absolutely couldn't beat the location. I have to hand it to the staff: Doris and the 2 or 3 others we interacted with couldn't have been more helpful or pleasant to work with. They really are first class. Best of all, the cost is certainly not prohibitive when you consider what you get for it. Worth every penny - US or Canadian! ~Maty
The Inn is in a great location - very historic & well maintained. Walking distance to restaurants & harbor was great. The staff were very friendly & breakfast was very good.
We were in the main floor bedroom & wifi was poor from the room. Had to go out to the main lobby to get decent wifi.
Great staff Super breakfast Beautiful Grounds"
Innkeeper Doris is great. We would definitely stay again.
Staff was so friendly. Breakfast exceptional. Rooms decorated with antiques and grounds lovely
Fresh chocolate chip cookies brought to us by the outdoor fire pit by Doris. Lovely place to stay. Within walking distance to Musical "Anne of Green Gables" and the waterfront (8 blocks)
The breakfast was excellent! It was walking distance to everywhere. It is a beautiful heritage building.
The best thing about this place was the staff. The inn itself was so beautiful, old and full of history, but the staff made you feel like home. We are from Newfoundland and known for our hospitality so it was nice to stay in a place that made sure you felt just as comfortable as home.
location Ambiance historic value closeness great breakfast great sea food at local corner resto
parking - trees that shed leaves and some sticky liquid - Had to get car washed after leaving.
