Score from 1002 reviews Good
The staff was superior The room and bed were comfortable and spotless The restaurants, especially the breakfast buffet were well worth the money
That we had to leave
great location, good food, excellent and very helpful staff
It was just very neat to be staying in a hotel with so much history associated with it.
We had a massage, that was probably the worst massage I have ever had. The price was ridiculous. We were had.
I loved the view and the location in the city. The staff were super friendly and polite. Very comfortable hotel.
We were charged for every little thing including internet, parking, and two tax charges causing the bill to double once we were done with our stay. Lastly our breakfast cost more than dinner out in city. This is not a hotel for anyone on a budget. In the end if felt like a fancy comfort inn.
Location and architecture
When paying that kind of money, it seems that the bottled water should be free and breakfast should be offered
Had high expectations and was not disappointed! The Chateau de Frontenac had old world charm with modern amenities! The staff, room decor, and overall hotel are first class!
The view was very nice the service was excellent and the people was very friendly. we also felt very comfortable and safe.
The structure is fantastic, an old castle... Beautiful!
The Spa is not at the same level of the hotel. The swimming pool was ok but not exceptional. The steam room was dirty and rusted.
Excellent location in a landmark building, very high standard of service and comfort.
Concierge only seemed to be around during the day time.
We were close to the Carnival activities. The lower city was a short walk as were the upper city festival events.
We had a tulle carrier on our car, it just barely fit thru the arch to parking garage. This kind of made us just park and walk to ever thing.
Location is amazing Upgraded in renovated king room Early check in
Restaurants close at 10pm parking sevice is ovepriced and we got our car back super dirty (shoe marks on leather seats! Absolutely scandalous) Wrong informationsgiven by the personnel all weekend long about opening time of sevices Being locked out of our room because reception wanted to double check our credit info! All points described above are not acceptable for such a hotel
beautiful historical hotel, excellent staff, fantastic location
Why in the world do they still charge for the internet ($15/day) when I can walk to the lobby and connect to Starbucks for free? It's outrageous! This is an outdated practice and ridiculous when we're already paying a pretty penny to stay the night. When every cheap motel, bed & breakfast, and coffee shop offers wifi services for free, they should absolutely be included in a luxury hotel.
Everything! Great stay.
only complaint was a group of disrespectful and obnoxious kids running around the hotel, there with a group and were unbelievably inconsiderate. Not the hotels fault but only bad part of our trip!
I liked the location of the hotel. It was easy to walk to the winter carnival. The staff was all very friendly and prompt when you called them.
It took a long time to get your car from the valet although I understand it was very busy and they were a little understaffed. The pillows were very uncomfortable you needed 3 to feel like you had a pillow.
the hotel location was great bed was very comfortable food was good
staff could of been nicer pool area was ordinary and very busy we found hotel expensive for what you get
At our welcome we were very welled welcome a good start to our weekend after a long drive The front desk was MORE then friendly
Traffic jam at the entrance (cars) One of the concierge seemed to be bothered by our questions! It was our first time in old quebec and it was the carnaval so we had 1 are 2 questions
Restaurant proximity View Location
Cold weather, but our choice.
The hotel was the most amazing hotel I've ever stayed in. So rich with heritage and class that you would only find in cities like Paris or London. Makes you feel like you have traveled farther than you did
No bad experience but I do recommend if your traveling on a budget avoid the hotel restaurants as they can be quite expensive and there are 50 restaurants with in a 5 minute walking distance that offer much better value
My wife found the bed too soft
The view from my hotel room and the staff was very helpful.
very welcoming staff - excellent concierge
could not understand why the bar - which is a favourite spot - was not open on Sunday - especially during the Carnivall.
Very friendly staff upon check-in, she also gave us a free map and info about the winter festival. Room was very clean and tidy and the hotel has a great atmosphere as soon as you walk in. Location is very good, close to a lot of sights and lovely cafe's and restaurants. I'd happily stay there again.
Id I had to put anything I would say it took a little while to get the bill in the bar in the hotel but it was quite busy so it was to be expected.
room with a VIEW! club --comfortable,quiet,great Happy Hour nibbles nespresso machine with unlimited lattes! excellent breakfast attentive staff turn down service everything
Beautiful hotel and perfect location! It was fun to stay in such an iconic hotel. It also seemed like a hub for Carnaval information in the lobby. Because it was centrally located, it was easy to get out of the cold. Room was pretty small, but was very comfortable and had a great view of St. Laurence River.
