The ambience of the hotel. The friendly staff, restaurants, rooms, decor. We loved it
Loved it all
Good location, room and hotel were clean
Plumbing was noisy, rooms are small
The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our stay.
The location is excellent for where we were headed, would stay here again. Beautiful old hotel!
Not that we didn't like, but the rooms were a little tattered and needed some updating, prints were falling out of their frames, wallpaper peeling off.
The Royal York is a great hotel - right in the heart of downtown Toronto. Staff are always professional and friendly - never had any concerns or issues.
I know some floors are renovated - can't wait for the rest of the hotel to be the same - rooms, hallways are getting tired and dated.
The beds were so comfortable. Location is excellent, it is close to everything you need.
Location, clean facilities, dinning, shopping
Beautiful hotel and great location
The staff, the ambience, the food, the location.
Paying for wifi - should be free for guests.
Everything that we needed was in close proximity including the highway. The bed and pillows are SOOO comfortable! We will be back to take advantage of the Ripley's Aquarium package.
Ease of access to Island airport and Union Station. Helpful staff. Clean rooms.
Construction and difficulty accessing parking made our arrival difficult.
Everything is great for business people who can expense their trip.
I know, who gives an "F" for leisure travelers, but please provide a free wireless internet connection. Not everyone wants to pay for it can expense it to their company. It is 2015, I mean you pay 300 bucks a night for a decent room but don't get wifi? Please.
Free Hot chocolate and coffee upon entering on a cold day was a nice surprise:)
Small room for a big price.
No room in the fridge for our fresh purchases.
WiFi charge is excessive
Construction obstructed view of city and entrance ways
The comfortable rooms and excellent king sized beds. Food at Epic was delicious.
I was disappointed that my request for two rooms looking towards the lake and definitely not towards a courtyard was not totally met - one room was a deluxe suite and was a Christmas present for my sister and her husband - and this room ended up not only facing a courtyard, but with boarded up windows! (While maintainance work was going on.) The reception made efforts to change this, but nothing left was satisfactory. The other room was great, but it was a pity that it wasn't quite the experience that I was hoping for.
internet non existing
I wished to cancel my stay because there was a family crisis. I was aware that the money could not be refunded but felt very uncomfortable that the room was empty.
The gym and pool were great
I am not sure when it will finish but there is a lot of construction outside the hotel.
The person who helped me at check-in was great - Jane.
Pillows a bit soft and room too warm.
It was perfect for us going to and from the junior Canadian games. Price we got was amazing. Very nice staff. Thank you
