Having to pay for WIFI in the room in a hotel of this stature is annoying, especially considering the tiny size of the room and the large size of the bill. Also, I checked out via Internet and after the fact found I had been charged for 4 mini-bar drinks that I had not consumed. The matter was corrected without argument within a couple of days, however, still annoying.
Directly across from Union Station - the perfect overnight location for those travelling by train. The Hotel itself has survived many owners and has managed to keep it's panache. The stairs from the street to the lobby level have become an issue, I find, although they do, at least, retain doormen and porters to assist you. An update to an escalator on at least one side would, if my opinion, be an improvement.
