Jag fick god service från personalen. Den enda mindre bra sak var att du var tvungen att ta trappor ut från hotellet såvida du inte åkte ner till garaget och åkte bil ut från hotellet. Oavsett om du tog hiss eller ej så behöve du gå uppför eller nerför trappor med bagaget.

The location was excellent - a short taxi ride away from anywhere we went. The free Porter Airlines shuttle bus also stopped right in front of the hotel, which was super convenient since we flew from Boston to Toronto on Porter. We ate dinner on Saturday evening in Epic, and the food was outstanding, as was the service. Before we left on Sunday evening, we had a drink in the Epic Bar - also a good experience. Our room service breakfast on Saturday morning was very plentiful and very delicious. I chose the Fairmont Royal York Hotel because of the special hotel price offered online, but the experience was wonderful. The rose bath products were a real treat and sensory experience.

I found it appalling that they would charge for Wi-Fi. I found this to be a Money Grab and totally spoiled my opinion of the hotel.

Timeless Elegance comes to mind when I think of the Royal York..Last year I stayed at The Royal York to celebrate my 50th birthday..As a little girl we would drive past the hotel and I would think I want to stay there some day...and I have now twice..Thank you.

It is an old hotel and retains some of the grandeur of the past but at the same time has been thoroughly modernized. We were met and served by a very competent and friendly staff member (Joy? at the front desk on Friday afternoon Feb 10)

Would have liked more choices for places to eat

We stayed three nights and enjoyed everything!

Excellent facilities and close to all amenities. We chose this hotel for its location to the railway station immediately opposite.

Booked a non-smoking room but on arrival, at around 6.00pm, only smoking rooms available as non-smoking had not been serviced. We were offered vouchers for the restaurant to wait for a non-smoking room to be readied, which we were advised would be in about an hour. After a long day travelling we really did not wish to wait so reluctantly accepted the smoking room. Although the room itself did not smell too badly of smoke it was noticeable in the bed linen. I felt that for an hotel of this standard this was rather poor service.

made the mistake of choosing a "smoking" room, never again! too smoky!

It was a beautiful place to stay. I love that they keep the old richness. It feels like you are stepping back in time, only I was missing the big puffy dress. I hope they never loose that. So many places have become to modern and sterile.

What I didn't like were the prices of the food. It is outrageous! Also, I was shocked that when I arrived at 6pm that my room was not ready, and had to wait almost an hour. However, they did give me meal vouchers which was very nice.

I enjoy the checking in and the prfessionalism, the lobby at Christmas. the deluxe room did not meet my expectaions based on the picture on the website. I enjoy Fairmont but this room was average.

The hotel is not remotely comfortable for those with handicaps and is barely wheelchair accessible. There are many long hallways and escalators leading ti rooms and shopping and rooms were tiny compared to advertised rooms. Professional bellman and waitstaff although some were too obvious in waiting for tips. Food expensive and well presented one can find better foid eksewhere in the area.
