Later evening some entrances locked
The location and staff were extremely efficient, attentive and very courteous. The get together on Wednesday evening and very warm welcome by Jodie, GM was brilliant.
Nothing to complain about.
Clean rooms and comfortable
Paying for parking, passing what we paid for the room should have included breakfast and parking. No concierge on duty while we were there.
Comfortable beds Quiet
iPad connection good but poor connection laptop
Parking. Front desk staff was distracted and gave poor directions about parking.
there nothing to like
the room n very clean room like it
I liked the cleanliness and the location. It's close to the waterfront and right downtown.
I didn't like the restaurant Niche for breakfast. It smelled like old beer and the food was uninspired.
Recently moving daughter to University in Halifax and hotel location and amenities are great plus I booked at a good rate. Thanks
no separate shower
It was hard to empty the bath. The turning knob did not function.
Room, comfort, quiet and centrally located.
Location was great; facilities were good. Desk staff were helpful.
Room smelled like stale feet and we could not open windows to air it out. We put the "do not need clean towels" sign out and this seemed to signal to the cleaning staff that we did not need the garbage emptied either - a bit annoying. We also were given only two paper cups for coffee and no glasses for the bathroom - for two days. Also, no additional toilet paper. However, when I phoned the desk to ask for glasses and TP someone responded immediately.
One night of noise
Rooms were quiet and clean and beds were extremely comfortable. Just what you are looking for on a driving vacation
Location and Room are good
Too noise of fans. Even could not power off!
Friendly staff, excellent location.
great location in a beautiful town
Parking was a very old ramp (for the $19/night) that was a little difficult to maneuver, but manageable.
Location is close to harbor, restaurants. Staff pleasant and helpful
Noisy part of city, other guests were extremely noisy, all doors seemed to slam when closing, echoing up and down halls, parking is expensive and difficult
Very clean , nice and good location
Hotel has an excellent location in downtown Halifax - walking distance to most of the main places you would want to visit - and about 50 yards from the car hire location where we were to pick up or rental car! Check in was friendly and efficient and we were given connecting rooms with our teenage sons even though we had not reserved these. Rooms clean and spacious and very good value for money. Would definitely stay here again.
Ice and vending machines broken on our floor (we arrived late at night and really wanted snacks!) - but that said, no-one else seems to have reported this to staff who were very grateful when we did so and said they would get it seen to immediately.
Location was awesome. Was able to go out for walks, and see things without driving. Citadel, Old Burying Ground, the Boardwalk, flower gardens, all within a short walk. Staff was very friendly and pleasant to deal with. We loved the room, very clean. We are average, people with an average budget and this suited all our needs.
Parking pass code never worked....but we were on holidays, and it was not a big deal.
proximity to downtown and waterfront
fee for the parking
Location of hotel
no one cleaning the room till late afternoon on the week-end
The cleaning staff were very friendly, but would socialise near the elevators were are room was located. However, they probably would have stopped and apologised if we had asked them. It didn't bother us at all, but may bother others
The staff The room
Shower was too cold
