easy place to sleep along the way through the Rockies, nothing special, but convenience store, gas and restaurant there
a bit dingy and heat not on upon arrival when outside is cold, so...
drunk couple fighting all night sucked- not motels fault but could have given us a room further from party guests. I was alone with two kids- didnt sleep well. Staff was pleasent.
Definitely get what you pay for here. Cheap room. Was only for one night. Would want to stay longer. Was clean but room smelt old. Small room. Wifi signal not great.
Quick, cheap overnight option
The clerk allowed me to check out a room first to make sure it was what I needed.
No WIFI. It was there (three connections), but was informed it was provided by the restaurant, which was closed for the season, so couldn't authenticate any of the connections. Have stayed here before, but no WIFI, no stay. Would only recommend if all you need is somewhere to sleep.
That the clerk was honest enough to advise me to try somewhere else, which I did.
No Internet in any of the rooms as advertised, restaurant was closed. Not close to anywhere else to eat in the evening.
Overall the place is cheap, but is more of a nackpackers hotal than anything else. Good wifi signal. Ideal location for our journey. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean bedroom and bathroom. Fridge and microwave in the room both worked, which was great as weather was very hot. Also great being able to have the car right by the room.
Motel is very run down, and the rooms are small, and towels old and thin. The greyhound bus comes in at various hours of the night right by the rooms which is noisy, as is the air conditioner in the room. Outside lights are very bright and curtains didn't fully black it out, so disturbing sleep.
Location was good for us en route to the Rockies Price was very cheap so not a lot expected of it Great little frontier style restaurant attached, worth visiting anyway
Lack of facilities, old style bathroom but no kettle, crockery or other items to help you with your own food Booking had been messed up so had to go in one of the staff chalets Bit of a smell with it as well Told a refurbishment plan is going ahead, it needs it
They allowed us to look at 2 rooms to see which we would prefer.
Lighting was poor. Only one plug in, no razor outlet. Very small bathroom. won't stay againBed's were not the best but can't expect that when a room only costs $60. When we got up to leave as we had along day ahead the office wasn't even open. The store affiliated with the motel was also closed so couldn't even get a coffee.
Yes it was an older property.. but despite other reviews our room was clean and we had great nights sleep in a comfy bed. There is a short-cut walk into town so was a short walk and Greyhound bus depot is apart of the hotel which was a good surprise for us as that was our method of travel. Staff are friendly but not very professional. Overall we knew it was budget accom.. and we had a good experience there.
We have used the Frontier for years and find the rooms clean and comfortable for the nights we stayed. If you're looking for a large TV and WiFi you will not find it there, but for a night or two it is a Great value.
The tv had a lot of interference lines in it, and it was rolling some, maybe it needs replacing
beautiful location, just off highway but far enough to not hear traffic noise
noise from t.v. next door from 11 p.m.to 1 a.m.
restaurant wasn't open due to sickness. gas pumps weren't working, no hotel office, you had to go in to the little store, no plugs in the walls, 2 octopus plugs, no coffee in the room, no remote, tv flipped and didn't get any stations, no staff, we had to go and check if the room was clean and it was 6pm when we checked in, price was more than what we were told
We saw a live mice and a few spiders in the room. There are mice poops all over the place(bathroom, table, TV, under the bed). It should be a smoke free room but we can smell it when checked in. No coffee maker and the attached restaurant was closed for no reason during the day time.
The price is good location is OK
It was very old needs up grading
Clean sheets and hot water. The chap I spoke to about the mouse episode was excellent. He refunded all my money because he agreed that the wildlife n the area wasn't actually part of the services offered to be included in the room.
The mice will come up onto your bedside table to eat and then will happily run across your pillow while your head is on the pillow. I was awoken by the sound of the mouse crunching on my potato chip bag next to my head. Also, extremely loud squeaky bed.

Rooms are tiny No Kitchen
We were impressed with the location because we came into Revelstoke by Greyhound Bus and it was in the same building.
Has been let run down. Still it was clean and suited our purpose of an overnight stop on the way to Canmore.
The waitress in the restaurant was friendly. The wifi and food was good.
The first room I was given had not been cleaned. The wifi in the rooms was weak or nonexistent.
The greyhound bus's running for hours right outside your door along with the guy in the next room snoring all night
For a senior couple it was a bit of fifties nostalgia. The adjacent Frontier restaurant was excellent
Comfortable bed, lowest prices in town.
Rates / Mice ate through our food at night - decor is seriously dated, staff were not very helpful, pretty run-down and just unpleasent generally.
The location of the Frontier Motel is great; close to town and really easy to find. Parking is also very accommodating, no matter what you drive. Views from the parking lot are pretty decent, as the town is surrounded by fairly tall mountains.
The rooms are way past their usefulness, short of bachelor camp workers. We walked in the entrance of room #7 and the floor literally sloped hard to the left. It was bad enough that we had to put the pillows at the foot of the bed to avoid sleeping with our heads downhill. The bathroom sloped 90` perpendicular to the rest of the room. While the towels and bed sheets seemed clean, the room had a definite feel of grime. The board walk on the outside of the rooms was very dilapidated; and that is being nice. No shampoo was supplied with the room, which I thought was odd, based on every other motel experience I've had. All in all, our stay was an "experience", but not one we'll intentionally repeat...
