The initial impression was wonderful. The building has great character and the staff was very helpful. Breakfast was fine.
The room was not good. The sheets were absolutely thread bare with old, nasty blankets and bed coverings. It was clean but that was it. I emailed the manager a very nice letter as the place had much potential except fo the room. No reply! Not good business practice.
Could walk to everywhere including downtown. Public gardens close by. Good home baking for afternoon tea and breakfast.
Problem with air con. No tea/coffee making facilities in room. No free parking.
The staff were excellent, pleasant and helpful. The Inn was very clean, The room spacious and very nicely decorated. Location was excellent.
That parking was an extra charge.
Proximity to both my destination (club) and to general shopping area
Not enough parking spaces for number of suites and extra charge for the parking that was available.
Allowed to leave luggage after checking out.
Given room by front door and opposite reception so quite noisy. Long walk to most attractions and restaurants.
Close (10 min walk) to Train station, in house computer room. Check out Le Bistro by Liz in next block.
Great location, lovely room, very modern bathroom. Breakfast buffet had lots of options.
Should have reserved a queen size bed instead of a double, but that was our fault.
Very quiet location with reasonable parking fee. Good variety for a continental breakfast.
Fresh fruit at breakfast would have been nice.
Staff was accommodating - even offered to carry our luggage. Room was clean, elegant, and beyond comfortable. Location was within easy walking distance of the Harbour and Public Gardens. Candies in computer/sitting room were such a nice treat. Breakfast was diverse enough to meet everyone's expectations.
The Hotel had a dining area that was available in the evening and stocked with coffee tea and cookies etc. It was a nice place to meet other travellers.
Bed Location Cemetery view Nice wall hangings
Only stayed one night!
The location is excellent. The exterior is attractive....
The bed was very uncomfortable. For the price, I expected quality continental breakfast, food and presentation but it wasn't delivered. Paying extra for parking was another problem.... In summary, I didn't feel comfortable at all at this hotel. The staff appeared disinterested in making the guests welcome.
The Inn was within a walking distance to the most attractions in the city. Some include: The Citadel, The Public Gardens, the waterline, Restaurants, Shopping
The breakfast was not worth the money and false adversement. The room was not worth all the money either
Staff was not very friendly and was not available during power outage. Queen bed was way too small for two people. And the bed was noisy.
Easy to get to the downtown area so you can enjoy the excellent night life
Air conditioning could be better
Great breakfast. Pleasant staff. Quiet and enjoyable stay. Close to parks and harbour. Very comfortable.
Parking lot tight hit the pole going out. 1700.00 in damages.
Room opposite reception so noisy. Bed not very comfortable, ok for one night
Very clean and comfortable, just close enough to city centre.
Self service breakfast was not refreshed enough and couldn't find staff
This facility would need to look at the mattresses. Ours was not great.
Tea, coffee & biscuits left out in the breakfast room so you could help yourself.
friendly reception, the room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was excellent, very convenient for downtown Halifax.
It would have been nice to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room.
Location was excellent. Staff was friendly.Bed was comfortable.
Extra charge for parking--12 dollars a day was not mentioned until check-out. Breakfast was what one would expect at a cheap motel. Our window was dirty. The toilet paper was so cheap, it hurt. The interior decor did not match the Victorian building.
Close to Dalhousie
Overpriced $119 for a small room with just a double bed. Old, dingy room, old carpet and mish mash of old furniture. Wifi never worked.
