Positioned in the heart of Halifax city center on the Link walkway system, the Delta Barrington is perfectly located to explore all this historic city has to offer. A restaurant is featured on site.
Score from 248 reviews Very good
Situated just over half a mile from Dalhousie University, this Halifax hotel has an on-site restaurant. First-rate services and comfortable guest rooms are included.
Score from 262 reviews Excellent
Very friendly and helpful staff, good location, many nice restaurants around, close to Victorian gardens.
Convenient location. Appeared to be clean and recently updated but had an institutional feel to it. Breakfast was adequate.
Bed was very uncomfortable and a flat hard pillow didn't help.
Free Wi fi.
Strong smell if sewage from bath. No hair conditioner. Stuffy rooms. No explanation of channels available on tv in fact no info in room at all. Breakfast and coffee was horrible. Staff were uninterested and bored. The list could go on.
In the city.
Friendliness, no knowledge for hotel management, impolite, cleanliness, feeling unsave.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Loved that it felt more like an inn than a big chain hotel. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were always clean and the wireless internet worked very well. This was extremely important to us, as my daughter and I were staying while we set up her new apartment for university and needed to be on line constantly.
The bathrooms desperately need a fan installed - a 3 minute shower made the small bathroom so steamed up, you had to go out immediately and wait for it to clear up.
The room too small and the air conditional inadequate. Very warm room. The morning meal was one one of the worst one we had on our trip. The muffin too dry and the coffee too weak. Sorry I ever booked this room
quiet setting in mid town helpful staff great breakfast
location attractions was within walking distance...
Breakfast item not fresh, no fresh fruit was available…
This was a most delightful place to stay. we particularly liked the afternoon tea/supper available in the dinning room during the afternoon & evening.
There was nothing we could find that wasn't lovely.
Style and clean rooms. Nice decorations and good location
Can hear others rooms. Not very nice staff and poor breakfast
The price was right for a night's stay on either end of a week on Cape Breton. Great location to walk and eat and shop and see the park. Front of house very inviting with bay windows and lots of flowers. Really nice bathrooms.
Not comfortable enough for a multiple night stay: glad we were just one night. Beds and linens need updating. The breakfast was really second rate; needs lots more fruit and maybe yogurt for people who don't want carbs. We went out for breakfast.
We were here a few years ago,so we immediately noticed the fresh new look. Beautiful room, comfy bed, good shower, wonderful sleep. Staff very nice.
Very poor reception for TV in our third floor room. Continental bkft was fine, except for dried out muffins.
Location is great, about a 15 minute walk from the waterfront and around the corner from the Lord Nelson for almost half the price.
Continental breakfast doesn't have a lot of options but you pay for what you get.
Very Comfortable Bed. Means the world when you are travelling. Marie was very helpful
Continental breakfast was decent with home baked pastries, very walkable location (very close to spring garden and public gardens)
-Our room (207) was right across from the reception desk and was a bit noisy especially in the early morning when some people were checking out. -Parking especially for large vehicles is poor street parking is available but is metered the weekend we were their the HRM had free on street parking but it is something to keep in mind if you plan on having a car with you.
This little inn was just a short drive from Pier 21 where we had spent the afternoon. Our room was clean, comfortable and very close to Let Bistro where we had a delicious meal. Breakfast in the morning was pretty basic....but I enjoyed it. I would definitely go back.
Loved the room! Close to downtown and to other points of interest, such as Point Pleasant and Citadel Hill. Very friendly staff and good WiFi.
Very quaint. Nice historic feel. Good breakfast
Too early check out. Can hear other rooms and their plumbing
Very good climate control in the room; nice furnishings, "small hotel" feel, shower head above tub ("rainshower" style) was heavenly; free parking; affable afternoon and night manager, ease of walking to shopping area and Halifax Public Gardens, afternoon/evening coffee and tea in the dining room.
Everything about breakfast seemed "small." e.g., juice glasses were 4 oz. Didn't inspire one to enjoy a hearty morning meal.
Enjoyed the proximity to the VIA rail station and the access to the city bus.
Location and good choice for breakfast .
Very nice place and not far from downtown
I booked it for the continental breakfast and the location to downtown- walking was easy and didn't require a car.
The breakfast times needed to be lengthened to 9:30 or 10
Media room with computer, printer, fax! I even got to play a DVD on the computer. Snacks at night, good cont. breakfast, kind manager
Walking distance to stores, restaurants, gardens. Short drive to waterfront boardwalk and points of interest.
