Bed Location Cemetery view Nice wall hangings
Only stayed one night!
The location is excellent. The exterior is attractive....
The bed was very uncomfortable. For the price, I expected quality continental breakfast, food and presentation but it wasn't delivered. Paying extra for parking was another problem.... In summary, I didn't feel comfortable at all at this hotel. The staff appeared disinterested in making the guests welcome.
The Inn was within a walking distance to the most attractions in the city. Some include: The Citadel, The Public Gardens, the waterline, Restaurants, Shopping
Staff was not very friendly and was not available during power outage. Queen bed was way too small for two people. And the bed was noisy.
Easy to get to the downtown area so you can enjoy the excellent night life
Air conditioning could be better
Room opposite reception so noisy. Bed not very comfortable, ok for one night
Very clean and comfortable, just close enough to city centre.
Self service breakfast was not refreshed enough and couldn't find staff
This facility would need to look at the mattresses. Ours was not great.
Tea, coffee & biscuits left out in the breakfast room so you could help yourself.
friendly reception, the room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was excellent, very convenient for downtown Halifax.
It would have been nice to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room.
Location was excellent. Staff was friendly.Bed was comfortable.
Extra charge for parking--12 dollars a day was not mentioned until check-out. Breakfast was what one would expect at a cheap motel. Our window was dirty. The toilet paper was so cheap, it hurt. The interior decor did not match the Victorian building.
Close to Dalhousie
Overpriced $119 for a small room with just a double bed. Old, dingy room, old carpet and mish mash of old furniture. Wifi never worked.
Very friendly and helpful staff, good location, many nice restaurants around, close to Victorian gardens.
Convenient location. Appeared to be clean and recently updated but had an institutional feel to it. Breakfast was adequate.
Bed was very uncomfortable and a flat hard pillow didn't help.
Free Wi fi.
Strong smell if sewage from bath. No hair conditioner. Stuffy rooms. No explanation of channels available on tv in fact no info in room at all. Breakfast and coffee was horrible. Staff were uninterested and bored. The list could go on.
In the city.
Friendliness, no knowledge for hotel management, impolite, cleanliness, feeling unsave.
Well located close to town center
Parking costs $12 Mattress was very soft, making it hard to have a good night sleep Wi-Fi wasn't working the night we arrived, clerk desk only acknoledge when we complained Room 201 is to avoid, just beside the clerk desk, phone ringing and people checking in and out just beside, we could hear everything...our only bad experience in our trip to the Maritimes
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Loved that it felt more like an inn than a big chain hotel. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were always clean and the wireless internet worked very well. This was extremely important to us, as my daughter and I were staying while we set up her new apartment for university and needed to be on line constantly.
The bathrooms desperately need a fan installed - a 3 minute shower made the small bathroom so steamed up, you had to go out immediately and wait for it to clear up.
The room too small and the air conditional inadequate. Very warm room. The morning meal was one one of the worst one we had on our trip. The muffin too dry and the coffee too weak. Sorry I ever booked this room
quiet setting in mid town helpful staff great breakfast
Staff was very friendly, offered a lot of information about nearby attractions. Very nice rooms.
location attractions was within walking distance...
Breakfast item not fresh, no fresh fruit was available…
This was a most delightful place to stay. we particularly liked the afternoon tea/supper available in the dinning room during the afternoon & evening.
There was nothing we could find that wasn't lovely.
Style and clean rooms. Nice decorations and good location
Can hear others rooms. Not very nice staff and poor breakfast
This is a charming place just outside of all of the tourist attractions in Halifax. If you don't mind a little stroll, in 5-10 minutes you'll be able to see everything- the Citadel, the Waterfront area like the Public Market, and all the well-known churches. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. You can rent a parking spot behind the building for about $20 a day, or the staff very honestly told us that there was also street parking during certain hours on the weekend. We didn't want to have to mess with coming back to the hotel to check the meter, so we just rented a spot. The breakfast was very good- lots of options. I would definitely recommend staying here in Halifax. It was affordable and gave us a chance to walk around and explore parts of the city that we wouldn't have otherwise seen.
