cheap and cheerful, owner / manager very helpful

general appearance- place looked very tired and in need of TLC

It's calm and it was a cheapest offer in the area.

It's a bit dirty.

It was a great value for the money. They upgraded us to a king sized bed (from a queen) for no extra charge. There was a refrigerator in the room. The location was close to town and the attractions we wanted to see. The room was very comfortable and clean.

There were no complaints at all.

The motel was clean,quiet and close to shopping and restaurants.

During check-in I was ignored until I took a drink out of the drink cooler. A breakfast was to be included ,and I asked to the time breakfast was being served.I Was told coffee will be started at 7:30 and breakfast would be ready at 8:00.At 8:15 I came for breakfast and nobody was there and a note to leave the key.

The interior was fine.

From outside it looked very dilapidated. We were very disappointed when we drove up. A hotel in Niagara Falls the next day was about half the price and fantastic in and out. Also no shampoo.

Generously gave a room with two queen beds when I was just expecting an extra cot.

Lobby could be more welcoming looking and organized, a bigger, tidier area for the "continental" breakfast.

e motel is older style , appreciated that their was a mini fridge. and everything worked., The King size bed was good .. but everything was clean and orderly.

I was disappointed by the included breakfast .. It should state continental, It was 2 types cereal, coffee and toast and mini packaged croissants. WE were looking for a more protein breakfeast.. with eggs. and we had waited around till 8:00 to discover that it was just a nook with the items placed ther .. no where to balance or eat .. The motel is older style, and a bit or paint and stuff is cracking in the corners. , the grout on the tub is a little bit grungy , ( Black)

Very friendly and welcoming. Nice outdoor pool - very refreshing after a hot drive! Very quiet area.

The Owners (staff) were very accomodating and friendly. It was good value for the money. The shower had lots of very hot water and the pressure was good. It was nice to have the small fridge in the room, but it was very noisy when trying to sleep. The drapes were new and very nice and the room was freshly painted. The beds were comfortable.

The carpets needed to be cleaned or replaced. We did not want to walk on them in bare feet. The blankets needed to be washed. The sheets, while clean, were thread bare and some had holes in them. The bathroom sind taps drip continuously.

The light shade in the bathroom was loaded with dead bugs. There was no shower head on the shower, no plug for the sink. TV outdated. Very poor room.

The room was large and very clean. It was a very pleasant stay and the owner was kind and helpful. The barbeque pool area was an attraction, fun to cook outside for apartment dwellers. Location is great, close by foot or by vehicle to town, and a very nice country setting, It was an excellent choice! Great value for the money!

The young lad tried his best to vacuum the ants, mosquitoes and flies even though it was 12 midnight. All other hotels were sold out at the time of my booking, so I was still able to attend the function as Gateway was available

Mosquitoes, flies and ants in the room. The bath tub with rust and mildew. The bathroom curtain mildew. Could not sleep due to insects crawling on me. Bed linens old and fuzzy and feeling unclean. (Excluding sheets and pillows)

It was a very inexpensive motel to stay at.

Breakfast could have been more desirable. they should lower their rate for the room and not include breakfast when advertising. they do not have the proper facility for breakfast

It is older but we had no problem with anything - the room clean and the pool was too. The free simple breakfast is a nice feature. It is good value.

A nice motel, quite close to the Gananoque port - if you wanna go on a cruise. Quiet, big and clean rooms. A very friendly and helpful owner.

Breakfast could be better.

The family staff was great and very helpful. Only stayed1 night to vist 1000 islands 2 1/2 hr tour-Great. Hotel is basic, but I paid for basic. Pool was nice, and staff friendly. (Helped me order a delievery dinner) so we could relax in room.
