The only down side was that the cars woke me up early in the morning, passing by on the street. A room at the back of the house would have been quieter. The room had an air conditioner which would have drowned out the car noise, but we just used the ceiling fan.
The narrow stairwell might be difficult for some people to carry their bags up, but Dan was very helpful.
Originally we chose this B&B for its location and price-and it was excellent value for the cost. This is a small house with comfortable rooms, decorated with intriguing artwork. The bed was comfortable, the shared bathroom was clean, the kitchen warm and inviting, and an outside terrace with music and a couch for relaxing in the evening-allowing guests to visit with each other. There is no other living room space. We especially enjoyed visiting with the guests in the evening.
The breakfast was varied and delicious. Rita made most of it from scratch, catered to our vegetarian needs, while also providing several québécois specialties for other guests, like cretons and fèves au lard. A truly exceptional meal and a fun experience with other guests.
