The location was good - right across the highway from the Frosty-O.
The Owner was harried and perplexed at Booking.com having withdrawn payment for the room from my bank account in advance of arrival when I had asked they NOT due so. Payment was to be made in Canadian funds upon arrival and this action caused all of us a good deal of grief unnecessarily. Not a happy experience.
Location is great, right off the highway. I also enjoyed leaving knowing that I wouldn't have to return.
The rooms are awful. Dark, dated, in disrepair with carpet peeling off the floor and paper thin walls. The 'mattress' consisted of 2 box springs stacked on top of each other and what I can best describe as a bed roll on top of that. Between hearing my neighbors throughout the night, and my stone table of a mattress, sleep was not something I enjoyed much of that night. While the room was very cheap, I still felt as though I overpaid. Save yourself the trouble and sleep in your car. I promise it will be far more enjoyable than my experience.
The view of the moon setting over the mountains. Great Chinese food in restaurant.
Motel itself rather (?) run down. Not uncommon for what we found along this route.
Food at restaurant
Hot water for shower lasted very very short time, WiFi doesn't work, even for emails.
the room is dark, dirty, and very poorly lit. Wi Fi does not work in motel area. We were there in mid August, it was cool and the heat wasn' t turned on. We had to sit with our jackets on while in the room. STAY AWAY!!!! If it's the last room in town, travel 1 hour farther to Whitehorse
Right off main highway. Nice staff
Dingy appearance, thin walls so it was very noisy, bare bones furniture
Good location for an overnight stay. Very once view to the mountains. The staff is very nice and friendly. The hotel does not look nice from the outside, but the rooms are good and comfortable. The price is very reasonable.
Wifi was quite weak and the connection to the internet slow.
We did get free ice for our drinks
Haines Jct. is a deteriorating town. There was no place to eat breakfast & unless you liked chinese food, there was only a dairy queen like place to eat in the evening. when we checked in , it was not easy to tell where to do so & it was inside a chinese restaurant. No refrig.
Clean, wifi and we didn't need a password
Outside was a bit rundown, no fridge, no clock,no table or desk
Oversized poorly layed out and hot with only one small window
Friendly staff and delicious meals at restaurant.
No internet limited sitting in room No ice machine
The view of the mountains was great.
Our two night booking was not known to the staff when we arrived. This place was generally run down, with major construction on site. The phone, TV and internet were not working in the room. We cancelled our second night, and moved on.
Staff was friendly.
Rooms were old and run down. Close to being unsafe.
Tv reception was very poor
The most fabulous view ever. The place looked a bit shabby from the outside but rooms were adequate. Clean but some things need attention. The bed was extremely comfortable. The Chinese food at the restaurant was excellent. I would definitely stay again. Very peaceful sitting on the back porch and looking out onto the mountains.
Like many small, family-owned motels the repairs are getting away from them. Things like the shower, electrical such as a loose light fixture, and just overall maintenance need attention.
It was tattered and filthy. Ripped carpets, torn curtains. Dirty bathroom. Tv didn't work and it was a dark, and smelly room...Literally something from a horror film...I would have gone else where if I had not gotten in so late. Still shudder...
Everything was fine. The woman who checked me in was courteous and helpful. The facilities were as good as could be. The room was perfectly clean and well-kept. It looked new! The bed was very comfortable.
Everything was great. It's just that everything in this part of the World is overpriced. This was/is the cheapest motel in Haines Junction, and it was over $70 a night for one person. That's why I rated the price "fair". It should have been less. But then, so should every other place in town. You want the cheapest? Go here. It's fine. Nice inside the rooms, even. Then, in the morning, keep driving.
Well-situated for overnight stay en-route to Alaska. Reasonable restaurant for evening meal.
Restaurant not open for breakfast until 9.30am! Also, external door from bedroom to lonely car park area was not very secure. No security bolt or chain - some single travellers would be very nervous.
Simple but adequate and clean.
A little noisy.
The rooms were very gross. We slept on top of comforter with our own blankets. We didnt feel safe sleeping on their sheets.
View was excellent.
Entire property could use normal maintenence and rooms need updating. Eat elsewhere.
I liked the location right off the highway. It was nice to have a place to eat attached.
Internet did not function in the room, but was available at the front desk.
closed when I tried to check in
