I was nervous about the area of Toronto but it turned out to be a great week and location based on my business. Discovered that Gladstone is one of the oldest hotels in Canada. Gladstone also focuses on art throughout the hotel...beautiful. Staff were great and always willing to help and request were addressed timely. Food was also very good with several options. The location was great with so many options in area for great food and great entertainment. Definitely will return. it was a nice change than the traditional Delta / Harbour Castle hotels in Toronto. Understanding that Gladstone is old parking wasn't the greatest. Paid 25.00 a day across the street.

I loved the gallery and atmosphere. Staying right in a gallery is very cool. They give you a tablet for your stay populated with local attractions. The gym is not onsite but is really great and very close. Booking through Booking.com I did not know I had to reserve a parking spot. So I had to hunt for a spot and move my car at 7:00am. Be sure to get a spot when you call. The shower in my room was the single smallest shower I have ever seen. The upside is I saved a bunch of water with the 2 min long showers I took! I'm guessing other rooms have larger showers.

Set in a very trendy part of the city, next to the street car and therefore close to downtown. The 'arty' hotel is perfect for special, out of the normal, design boutique hotels' lovers. Very good quality complementary toiletries. The bistro in the hotel is also a great stop for breakfast or light lunches with fresh local, organic products. We had a quite small standard room. I would check next time to get a slightly bigger standard room or the category above. Check in time at 3:00 pm can be a problem if you are coming from far and you wish to check in at noon for example.

Only moments after checking into my room I was treated to a live opera performance on my floor. The hotel is best described as a centre for the arts. Beautiful paintings and incredible photography adorn most of the walls. You can experience the culture of the city without even stepping outside the hotel. There is a supermarket just behind the hotel so if you are in search of fruit and beverages you are to limited to hotel offerings. The floors have a public space which is lovely for reading, having a coffee (which is complimentary in the morning) or admiring the selection of art work. My room very much reminded me of hotels where I have stayed in Rome. While feeling European the washroom was fine but the shower was too tight for a hotel room.

It was cool and different. Artistic. Hotel staff weren't inviting. Extremely unfriendly or welcoming. Didn't call to notify us of any changes. Room size is extremely small. There wasn't even any toothpaste!

The Gladstone Hotel looks funky and interesting. It is the opposite of a Holiday Inn which is what I was looking for. It is slightly too far out of the centre of town - I needed a taxi or the street car to get there and back each time I went out. It is noisy - they kindly provide ear plugs! My room (Puzzle) was small with a tiny shower.

We enjoyed the friendly, knowledgeable staff, the historic building and our room was quiet, clean and interesting. The elevator was fascinating and it was great to be surrounded by art work.

Interesting, artsy, and comfortable. Staff was helpful, caring, solicitous. Room not large but excellent use of space - very comfortable bed, good amenities. Great, interesting public spaces. Located in a fun shopping, eating, art-viewing district. Good public transportation into city center.

The artwork and decor of the hotel are wonderful. This is a great neighbourhood with fun restaurants and bars close by. The Gladstone is an original Toronto hotel....which is hard to find. The staff were friendly and the elevator was a must! I didn't mind, but large people would find that shower small.

Love the location, the beautiful building & learning about its history, and the support if the arts community in Toronto. My only complaint was the size of the shower in my room (418) - so tiny! But everything else more than made up for that.

There's always something fun happening at the Gladstone. One night it was a Futurama quiz and an art launch, the next it was a nice little indie concert and an orchestra rehearsal. Also, the rooms are all cool and quirky and different, decorated by artists. It's a really creative environment

Das Gladstone ist eines der coolsten Hotels, die ich kenne; wir sind seit 3 Jahren "Stammgäste", D.H. wenn wir in Toronto übernachten, dann dort. Mehr braucht man eigentlich dazu nicht zu sagen.

The design of the hotel is beautiful and the historic elevator an interesting detail. Each floor has art on display, which gives the place a very unique atmosphere. The hotel bar is also very nice and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Although nicely decorated, our room was very small, there was not enough space to put our luggage. Given what we paid for the room, this was a bit disappointing. Also, there was a party going on in their event space on the ground floor, which made the floor of our 3rd floor room go up and down with the beat... Oh well, it was Friday night...
