It was spacious for us and knowledgable staff.
It was cleaned before we got there(which is good) but it had been done awhile in advance. The room was dusty and the air abit thick. After airing it out for a couple of hours it wasn't bad.
Great location to college street subway station. Parking in the building. Self contained kitchen.
Bed bugs. Do something about that pronto !
The location was conveniently located next to the hospital, which was my purpose for being there.
Desk staff was not very informative or obliging.Considering this was our first time in Toronto,I was not overly impressed.
Location Wooden floor boards Bed Not noisy
Grubby lift with the red covers Grubby old furniture Not being able to open a window Hot and stuffy Room too bright TV and media complicated to use
The site should emphasize that it is an apartment building and not a hotel. It didn't bother me not having hotel services, but I would have prepared differently for my stay.
Large apartment, excellent Wifi, great location.
size of rooms, tech and gadgets, views, check in, check out, location.
shabby - needs a refurb, but on the whole excellent value.
Location is fabulous Facilities were good too
House keeping period is quite long ( more than) 7 days
the location was great for us the unit had all the amenities that we needed for a stay very comfortable lodgings
We were there for four days in late September 2014 during a late heat wave. The air conditioning in the building was turned off because summer was over, we were told by the desk man. The temperature in our room was way too hot, almost unbearable. A call to the building managers got no response. We had to suffer through the heat. Also the remotes provided to get you in and out of the parking garage were difficult to use and sometimes simply did not work. We did not have a comfortable visit and would not go back there.
central location. very clean. Nice not to be cramped in a small hotel room. Has all the amenaties of an apartment. There is a small work out room that gets the job done, but not fancy.
I had someone banging on my door at 12:30pm on the first night. Supposed to be a secure building so not sure if he just had the wrong room. Did not open my door to find out. Second night I had someone ring my room through the intercom... not much that can be blamed on The Glen Grove for that except the building does have intercom and this can happen. It is in downtown Toronto and there is a lot of traffic noise. Especially emergency vehicles. I am from a quieter part of Canada and this affected my quality of sleep, but I don't think it would have been much different for any building in downtown toronto.
The location; space; kitchen; rooms
The toilet didn't flush right; no telephone; temperature controls didn't kick in right away; limited cable channels
Friendly staff on phone and at desk. Great location. Pool looked awesome and clean dressing rooms. No time to use it sadly. Very secure place. Well stocked with dishes.
Bed linens really worn and even holes in sheets. Shower curtain dirty. Towels ok. Fridge smelled like spoiled mets especially freezer compartment.
Proximity to everything ie shops, main city areas, transport. The availability of laundry facilities in the apartment
Windows needed cleaning
Great Location for sightseeing and shopping. Comfortable clean apartment.
Lack of tourist information at front desk.
It is time for some renos. Floor is in horrible shape. Needs some good old updating.
Good value for location. Had a comfortable sleep. Access to exercise room and pool that was never busy! Comfortable beds and all the basic amenities (towels & linens changed once a week, kitchenette)
No concierge service - unfortunately, customer service is only on business hours (9am-5pm) on weekdays, which makes it difficult to contact if you are working or on business. The apartment could use an update of kitchen items (e.g. some utensils broken, and bowls cracked), and wireless internet was spotty at best. Also, not sure if this was a building-wide problem, but there were occasional ants in the bathroom & kitchen!
The 2 bedroom appartment was a really good size. Full kitchen with washer, dryer, cooker and dishwasher, ample crockery etc. Furnishings and beds were comfortable. Lots of extra bedding and towels. Having the use of the amazing pool and gym were an added bonus staying here. Felt very secure in the appartment. The location was so good for getting around on foot. Very central.
Nice roomy accommodations.
Very tired property - needs a lot of work - chipped tiles, broken counter tops and just a general air of neglect throughout.
The security guard on duty when I checked in was not courteous, and did not explain the parking garage, and how to enter. When inside we tried to push the call button, but got no response no matter how many different ones we tried through out the garage.
Great location, easy to get everywhere. Two bedrooms big enough for 4 people. Very quiet. Two bathrooms and balconies was very nice to have. All essentials to stay with family of four . Parking is big plus. Free Wi-Fi
Furniture, appliances, kitchen and bathrooms are outdated. Expected little bit better quality for money paid. Toilet in master bathroom did not flash well. Towels can be newer and cleaner.
Good location when we actually found the building.Just across from subway.Very spacious apartment looking out on CN Tower.
We did not have a laptop with us.Lost with out the availability of office/computer.
