Location was excellent. Dining areas was lovely venue. Beds were comfortable.
Room was not as charming as the rest of the property. Not quaint, more like a dated motel room.
Wifi essentially non-existent in auxiliary building.
Some of the food could have been better.
The location was superb, right on the water with a spectacular view. The restaurant was great with a lovely waterview and the food and service were wonderful.
Our room was in dire need of more than just a facelift. The toilet was loose at its base; no stopper in the bathroom sink; peeling wallpaper; no reception on the tube TV (I think only 3 channels worked). Definitely not worth the price we had to pay.
The grounds were beautifully kept, the setting was attractive, staff were kind and helpful.
Bathroom was a bit dated.
Location along the 1000 island parkway is superb. Next to a biking trail which we cycled on and enjoyed very much. Food was decent although not great.
Units are clean but pretty tired. Service in the restaurant was quite slow
Very quiet for stay and for your feeling. Near to dock for one day tour. Not bad restaurant.
Location Spacious surroundings Friendly restarant staff Relaxing atmosphere
Building and interiors a little tired in places
This hotel has a beautiful setting right on the lake with views to some islands. We spent 2 weeks travelling in Ontario and Quebec and this was the highlight of our stay. One could never tire of the views, be it the sun rising, the sunsetting or the moon shining on the lapping water. It's possible to take canoes, kayaks or pedalos out on the lake or to rent bikes. The staff were all very friendly and the food was delicious. Book a lake view - it's really worth it!
Everything was just perfect.
restful, scenic, quiet
beds not great-too soft. Covers were too warm - only thermal style blankets as alternative- also too warm- light cotton (natural fibre) blanket would have been appreciated
price room size friendliness Location!
A bit run down Needs a bit of simple TLC- like the ladders to the dock were unsafe or broken.
Bed was comfortable. Room was clean. Enjoyed Shuffle Board. Enjoyed seeing the old buildings limestone and Churches in Town.
Breakfast, eggs were great. Potatoes, Bacon and sausages were dried out. They must have been made hours earlier.
Convenient location. Generally comfortable accommodations
Internet did not work and staff could not solve problem. We stayed in room 101.
site and facilities
quality of the room, really poor
The room was spacious and the grounds are very nice. The food in the restaurant is very good, and the staff were very pleasant.
The beds need new mattresses I slept alone and sank in the middle if I were with another person that would have been a real problem. Also you should have a fridge in every room, even the cheapest hotels have a mini fridge. The restaurant is way understaffed and service was terribly slow in the bar. Although the staff were very nice. The last thing is the "beach" please add some sand and groom this area, it was taken over by geese and no one would sit there in geese poop.
Rooms really comfortable
breakfast it was poor
The beauty and relaxing atmosphere of the resort and the surrounding area of water and forests.
The location is excellent. Beautiful view and right by the water
The food was average. There aren't many activities for teenage kids. We stayed for 2 nights and for them it was enough. A good example that there are only two kayaks in the hotel so you have to ait forbyour turn if other people are renting them
bed was hard
Grounds, dining room, location.
Wonderful location. View on the lake.
Rooms need refurbishment.
Friendly, helpful staff and lovely room with beautiful water views. Slight problem with toilet was resolved almost immediately by syaff.
Rooms,view & surroundings.
Rental kayaks worn out
Scenic river location, proximity to Rockport, Gananoque and Kingston
Saturday morning, July 5th, outdoor pool was cloudy, not clean. Waited a good 5 minutes to be noticed, not seated for breakfast in relatively empty dining room - we just left. Room was ok, but broken towel rack in bathroom - not something one would expect for over $189 per night plus tax.
