While I was there there was a bed bug infestation on my floor
It's cheap and had room available
Only got a lower sheet and had to sleep under the same unwashed sweaty duvet than the person before me.
The location of the hotel was great my friends and I could walk to any destination in Toronto city. The room I booked did have air conditioning which was a huge plus. The bathrooms were really clean even though it was shared with an entire floor. The staff was friendly and helpful. Does have its own parking garage ! Basically if I had to sum it all up this place is great for college students !
The room that I booked had nothing in it besides 2 double sizes beds that were uncomfortable. The sheets on the beds hmm, it was not the cleanest. With a simple inspection you can make out several spots. The breakfast meal in the morning was just coffee toast and cereal. Nothing to fancy.
I booked stays in Toronto late and this was pretty much the only hostel left. The rooms are relatively clean, shower/toilet as well and the location is good if you're planning on going to Toronto Uni or Kensington area often. For downtown it's a bit of a walk but totally doable. Breakfast is very limited but free so that was pretty nice. Rooms have aircon and heaters.
The owner shows no interested in absolutely any inquiries. Bunk beds and mattresses are ridiculously old and you feel like on a roller coaster when the person above or under you moves around. Didn't sleep much. Wi-Fi is a joke, basically everybody sits in the lobby because everywhere else the connection is too weak.
Nice staff. close to attractions
Smelly roommate Too small beds.
Excellent location close to kerington area, lot of bar, restaurant...
The hostel was disgusting, the room was really bad same for the shower and the restroom. Worst hostel i've ever seen.
The lady at the front desk was very rude and not very helpful.
The location was ideal to get around to the city. Free Breakfast TV
No Closet/cloth rack/hangers. No Table/Chair. Just one toilet per floor with no exhaust fan. The corridor stinks due to it. Wifi was just for the namesake with no connectivity. Showers doesn't have a soap/shampoo holder. Our Itinerary showed the renovation was till May 2014. But when we asked about those poor facilities, we were told that the renovation is still on. There were no discounts/prior information provided for the lack of facilities. (Please check your facilities before the check-in)
I was in a 4 ladies bedroom. The bedroom was very clean, as well as the bathroom, which was shared. The location is very convenient and the staff are very kind. I will return to this place in my next trip to Toronto.
rooms unsanitary drugs were found in the sink people in the neighborhood were scary
my stay was for a concert and a 1 night stay. This hotel was in the perfect location for bars and walks, lots of stuff around as its near the marekt. The hotel was very simple yet clean and tidy. if you arent looking for much of a room as there were only 2 double beds and a tv mounted on the wall (Private room). for me it was perfect as I was only looking for a place to lay my head down for the night. For the 100.00 a night this place is an excellent choice for a young group of adult taking a leisure trip. Over night parking was cheap $15.00 a night.
The staff seemed alittle unorganized as they tried to bill me for 3 days parking, once the error was noticed they did correct it no problem.
I liked that I could stay in a great location for a little amount of money. Location location location. Staff were decently friendly.
Renovations are going on and so floors were dirty, didn't have a phone in our room as advertised. It was mid summer so the room was so stuffy. Also there is a fire station on the street next to the back side of the place so several times during the night you will most likely get woken up by the 'wooooOOOOOOO' of sirens. Beggars can't be choosers though because all other hotels in the city this weekend cost more per night than our three night vacation. You get what you pay for, a place to shut the door behind you and go to sleep (sort of). :)
they are not kind
Right next to club kept me awake all night
The location and access to public transit is excellent. The variety of nearby restaurants is great! A convenience store close by. Friendly and knowledgeable front staff. Kensington Market is a really cool place to wander around.
The lack of a secure lock-up for passports and important documents at the front desk was disappointing. The beds were clean, but squeaked every time anyone moved around on the bed.
The social atmosphere is diverse and relaxed.
Sometimes I meet too many new people. But that's inevitable, because that's the kind of living I have to endure now.
Filthy and that's being kind. half the showers don't work. Im sure there are nicer crack dens out there..
I liked very much. The cost benefit is very good and good service.
-very clean -comfortable -free wifi -balconies -good kitchen -great location -reasonable price
-"double room" as stated on the website apparently means room with one double bed, despite all of the photos for this room showing two beds, and the board in the lobby saying "double private: 3-4 people." So we ended up having to pay extra to get an actual double room (two beds). The people even kept saying, "Yes it's very misleading," which is weird. But it turned out okay anyway.
- the room and bed was clean - it was a secure building - within walking distance to ttc and variety store
- no way to change the temperature in the room... no window or patio door that could be opened and couldn't adjust the settings. - 4 flights of stairs with no accessibility - 2 sets of stairs that don't attach so if you go up the wrong set then you have climbed 4 flights only to go back down and up the other set... no signage. - the fire alarm was hanging from wires
Name has changed no longer Kenningston,...States College on Door Difficulty of finding Booking.Com my reservation. Could use some upgrades-Paint Breakfast included, if call it that- toss together on a very small table, below basic of any hotel service I have stayed at
Bathrooms and restrooms were clean
The person at the entrance was not kind at all. They were renovating the rooms, in our room they was only a bed, no furniture. It was like they didn t expect us to come....
Renovations ongoing and the substandard showers and toilets were the only downsides.
Charged me twice for one room. Ac didn't work
