It was close to the meetings I had to attend and I could leave my car in the public parking underground.
Room wasn't clean, I could hear the neighbors talk and their tv, as well as the loud rumor coming from the street, I barely slept. The price was high compared to the competition, and for what I got.
The government taxes were a bit much
Hotel décor. Staff. Rooms. Spacious, bright, clean - with a nice view of the city. Bed and pillows. Breakfast buffet - nice selection.
Clean room, excellent service from staff
Breakfast buffet was ok but got boring after a few days
My grandson really enjoyed the pool.
The continental breakfast and the way it was set up. We upgraded to a full breakfast. I didn't see that option when I booked.
Location within walking distance of so many attractions. Fabulous night time views of the city. Comfortable room, and good breakfast.
Check in and reception service slow. Room facilities eg coffee and cups not always topped up. Hotel guide incomplete.
Hotel surrounded by people begging. Very noisy people in quite a few room. Lots of doors banging through the night. The hotel pretends it is four star but at attracts chav behaviour
Staff was great!
The place could use some cleaning. The fact that we paid 200 bucks is not worth the stay.
Good price. Good location.
Parking. Got blocked in and had to wait 45 minutes while the attendant moved the car blocking me
I liked that the Hotel was only a 10 minute walk to Old Montreal and right aound the corner from a vibrant restaurant area. The parking charge was reasonable and you were able to go in and out as many times as you wished. The hotel was attached to an IGA food market which was very handy for buying snacks and odds and ends.
They were holding auditions for the reality show "The Voice" at the hotel which made the lobby always crowded. However, I have to say we were not bothered at all by the contestents at all. I wish they had a hot tub at the place but we did enjoy the pool.
It would have been nice to know the auditions were going on for" the voice."..however it did not impact on my stay..would have been nice to know
The service at the front desk was very poor and rude. The breakfast deal was horrible and most of the hotels that have breakfast included have everything on included on their breakfast and you don't have to pay extra
Old room and dirty level
Courtesy of the staff.very helpful too.
Housekeeping and supply of bathroom items like shampoo and fresh towels.also those plastic cups...very cheap
Facilities are old and dirty. Sauna out if service. Gym was just a room with 4 cycles. Not value the price. Breakfast included is not true, included is only a croissant.
I liked the view from the 24th floor. The garage was right there, but had two train stations available and was within walking distace to restaurants and entertainment.
I wanted to use the pool but it didn't open until 5 PM. By that time it was ready to get ready for pre dinner drinks. Wanted to have a room safe.
The reservation I got from Booking.com was $129.00/night. Le Gouverneur Hotel charged us $149.00/night without taxes. Plus, they double tax you at their restaurant. They tax you the discounted meal and up tax again on the over all meal, which was so odd. We asked why. The manager said, "that's how they were trained to do it".
I admired the beautiful view my boyfriend and I had on the 23rd floor. Our bed was extremely comfortable, there was excellent water pressure when talking a shower and the location is fantastic- you don't even need to go outside if you want to grab a bite.
I did not like the fact that we only had a 5 dollar credit if we chose the buffet over the continental breakfast. The continental breakfast is normally $9,95 so if guests want the buffet, they should simply pay the difference. Rooms should also have a mini fridge. The pool should be accessible all day during the week- not only at 5pm. There were some people that would have liked to enjoy the pool after they checked in.
Great comfort and superb location.
Sketchy wi-fi hook-up. The continental breakfast wasn't very good. Price for the room increased on the weekend.
Right in front of main metro station and in the heart of downtown, food court, grocery store and parking all attached to hotel and close to many restaurants. Bed was comfortable!
No fridge, lamp not working, could use cleaning and fixing of tile etc. , price was a bit much for what it was. Alot of homeless people in front of hotel when going for cigarette asking for money!
lots of dining and easy transport options nearby.
staff is rude and act as if they are doing us a favour by providing us any service. duty manager is never to be found. the concierge doesn't help with luggage.
Proximity to the Latin Quarters, Chinatown and Old Montreal is good; all within walking distance. Front desk staff and head of security were polite. Skyline view was lovely.
The carpet, furniture and wall behind the bed were stained with who-knows-what. The bathtub drain was plugged with hair. Cannot rent movies in-room.
Location. Friendliness of staff. Cleanliness.
Lumpy beds. Difficulty of changing a reservation. WiFi did not stay connected, had to reconnect often. Outrageous Canadian tax rate.
Location can not be beat
I had no idea when I paid extra for a room to receive breakfast that there are levels of breakfast. Turns put I had the lowest option, I felt like third class person putting a piece of toast into one of the two broken toasters, while I watched others eat a healthier meal. This was a huge let down.
