Location - quiet - pool and spa

We had a room with a balcony--supposidly looking over the Legislativew Bldg. And the Harbor--however our balcony was a solid cement wall--could not see view unless standing up! Bath room was very small.

The pool was big and kiddy pool was good also. The location was also close to all amenities and the staff was friendly

Rooms were cramped for 4 people and not modern. I found a wet towel in room on arrival,,,,, not good for the prices charged.

Location, cleanliness, friendliness,luxurious-regal design...soooo beautiful...and the price was surprisingly competative. 5 stars all the way! Thank you, thank you to all the staff and management.

Didn't eat at their in house restuarants. Scoured the menus and could not find our "American style" anything plus the prices were simply too high...so we went out the HGP's back door and across the street to the Royal Scots' Jonathan's Restaurant and had a great breakfast there.

The location was terrific, that was it.

I did not like the fact that the pool and gym area are part of a larger club and that the pool was closed between 5-7. Crazy when you travel with kids. The TV was outdated and the room a disappointment . The kids package needs attention too. Poor size on the swim towels.

Perfect in every way

I got as deal on booking.com. I had never stayed at this hotle before and thought I would give it a try. As the desk I was given an upgrade when I was checking in. the place is sheer luxury. The staff is very friendly and professional. The food is first class. I had dinner, breakfast buffet and the bar snacks. All of it was excellent and moderately priced. I dont know how they can sell meals at those prices. I thought the daily parking rate was expensive compared to the rates in Victoria, however since I got an good rate on the hotel and an free upgrade I didn't squabble about this. My room was immaculate. The meals were excellent. I had the breakfast buffet. As I was sitting down with a plate of food (I was surprised to find Eggs Bendict as part of the buffet) the hostess came by and asked if I wanted them to cook me up an omelet. I said it was too much food. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. This is the best hotel stay that I have had in years.

NO complaints. This is an excellent hotel. It was also very classy without putting on airs like the Empress.
