The service here was unbelievable. So polite, and excited to bring us everything we could want. A comfortable stay with everything I could have asked for.
The location is right on the heart of many restaurants on Robson and the beach is only a few blocks away. It is not a 5 star but great value forbthe price. Would come back
No a/c,no food,no elevator,tight parking area
We had to ask for everything extra. Bowls, spoons even towels and shampoo. They had bathroom supplies for 2 people even though we booked for 4. Breakfast was terrible.
no way to wash up any crokcery or to cook
The hospitality shown to me and my friend as we learned of a family member passing.
Large, comfortable suite. Located in the heart of downtown Vancouver. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Hotel is charming, not a high rise. Very convenient location on Robson St. Can walk to Stanley Park and waterfront close by. Large range of cafes and restaurants. Helpful staff on check in. Light breakfast offered. Room was large and quiet for sleeping.
We were close to everything, transit system took care of the rest. The location, and 3 story walkup, made us feel like we were actually living in Vancouver in a 1 bedroom apartment. Hotel had character which we preferred instead of some fancy sterile generic hotel.
Got a little noisy in the summer evenings with no A/C and the windows open, but that just added to the ambiance of the "living there" feel.
Suite was a really good size for the value. It was kept clean and tidy. We even had a decent ocean view, which we were not expecting.
We were told there was a "snack" set out between 7-10am, so we knew it wasn't a continental breakfast, but it wasn't even worthy to be called a "snack" since there was only a loaf of bread, nothing else.
Location was excellent. Apartment style suite was awesome. Amazing bath tub. Good staff. Underground, secure parking was $20 night.
No air conditioning! No screens on windows. No elevator. Very noisy. Complimentary breakfast includes coffee and bagels with jam or peanut butter.
Perfect location. Very central, close to shops and Stanley Park area. We were lucky enough to be there on Gay Pride weekend. The parade down Robson St was viewed clearly from our third floor room 309. The room was spacious and comfortable with separate living and kitchen. It's an old building but clean. Mariya at reception was lovely and very helpful. As was Matt the maintenance man when we had a minor bathroom problem. We would definitely stay here again.
No air con, but we got a fan from reception. No lift.
location, central even though not close to the metro. nice staff.
no air conditioning (end of July can be hot); not comfortable mattress. No elevator.
laundry coffee it was clean
dark rooms extra charge for luggage security at last day no breakfast
Location was centralized to many activities, sightseeing points of interest, & places to eat.
Decor was outdated, poor kitchen utensils, no AC, but they did provide a fan
Right on Robson street. Bus stop outside. Stanley park and downtown all very easily accessible on foot. Nice comp bagels and tea in the morning and reasonably priced.
No ac and with windows open was noisy. Could do with a freshening up especially the bathroom. Also feet got bitten to death whilst in bed.
close to downtown, walking distance to sights. Spacious, kitchen facilities but very limited dishes/glasses/utensils.
no air conditioning, but too hot too leave the windows closed and too noisy to leave them open. Staff did not clean up anything in the kitchen area, and did not replace the coffee. Very limited kitchen. Staff were unclear how to do things in the system and check in took an excessive amount of time. No elevator
Very helpful and friendly staff; big suite; excellent location
Value for money and good location
Bit shabby and basic
Spacious room, good location.
NOISY, outdated decor, did not receive clean cups and glasses each day.
Location was great for the harbour, Stanley Park and downtown. Quiet and comfortable. Front desk were very friendly and helpful.
Our room could have been cleaner. Breakfast was a bit half-hearted.
I liked the location, we were close to great shopping and restaurants. I liked that there was a bedroom which gave privacy for getting dress and sleeping.
No elevator, the room was musty smelling and worse if we shut the windows. There was no air-conditioning and it was stinking hot. We slept with all the windows open and it still didn't cool down. I guess with all the other high rises there was no air flow. Given it was summer I am afraid of what it would be like in the winter. The bathroom sink wouldn't drain and it didn't get addressed the day we communicated. The building is old and the photos on the website doesn't show its true condition, hence the rate per night. The room didn't get cleaned until 3 pm or later (we were gone by 10 am every day or sooner) We didn't spend a lot of time in the room so to come back after a long day to beds unmade was not great. I didn't bother tipping for this reason, a first for me. For all those reasons we would not stay again.
I had a nightmare of a time when I arrived. It is the first time I have ever been to a hotel that wouldn't accept debit or cash as a deposit. I only use a VISA debit card. The guy at the desk was hostile and unaccommodating from the outset. I had just travelled 10 hours and it was after midnight when I arrived. Basically ended up in a situation where I was going to have to find another place to stay... which was not an appealing prospect at that hour of the night. I eventually called in a favour from family in Toronto and had to wake them up (was 3 am their time). One of the excuses for not letting me pay cash was that if there was more than $200 worth of damage then they were on the hook. I said then get the cleaning ladies to do a checkover first thing in the morning no problem. He said it would be an issue and he couldn't know where the cleaning ladies would be (meanwhile me thinking... its your job... just tell them to check my room first). After everything he puts me in the room DIRECTLY across from the front desk. All of that hassle and nonsense about how they couldn't guarantee checking the room before I leave and its the room right in front of their faces! Would never stay there again.
No air con and uncomfortably hot. Staff did not give wake up call or order taxi when requested on departure.
Location is close to everything in the heart of west end downtown. Good bed and living room. Fair kitchen with kitchenware on require.
Made terrible mistake on my booking but upgraded my room by unwilling staff. I stayed in Room 302 and it is extreamly noisy even in deep night. Ventilation is bad and the 3rd floor is so hot without an air conditioner. If you opened the window for cool air, you got more noise in the room. Almost made me crazy... Definetely not gonna stay there next time.
