Resort is by the lake side and quiet. It looks like all rooms have lake view. My room is #6 without kitchen but spacious. Lake Kapilog is quiet and fantastic for boating or canoeing. The rate is affordable. Standard $15/hr for fishing boat. The view from the cottage to the lake is gorgeous and wide open. Owner is very friendly and helpful. Restaurant is okay. It closes on Tuesday. Very good imported German beer. Menu is on the website. My wife has tried the fish which is delicious. Mine is medium-rare steak but all charcoal on the surface. On the whole, I enjoy very much at H&H

Chairs on a dock. Helpful owners. Remote location.

Noisy guests. Outside light on all night in a pristine lakefront setting.

Wonderful family run location with clean, rustic rooms with great views and quiet! Loved it and will return again.

Prices were a bit high for their authentic German food with small portions. Special of the day was wonderful with good portions. Need to balance the sizes.

Good value for money. We were able to rent a canoe, and take it out for the day. Near massassuga park which is interesting to check out.

The loons sang and the water was gorgeous for swimming. We enjoyed having our own little kitchen and eating in front of the screen with the gorgeous view out to the lake.

For our last day we had rowdy young men in the next unit, which was noisy. I suppose that is the chance you take and could happen anywhere!

The lake and scenery were beautiful. The owners were extremely nice and helpful. The fishing was great (caught over 35 fish and released them, over 4 days). The swimming in the lake was the highlight. Renting the motor boat allowed us to see the whole lake in 1 hour for only $15. Great break for my 3 boys and myself. Spent most of our time in the lake and fishing. We will definitely return.

The bugs (deer flies) can be bad at specific times so bring repellent. Bring a fan or two for your room if it is going to be warm. If you like to sit in the lake bring a life jacket as the water does go over 6 feet quickly. The only store in MacTier is an over priced Foodland 15 minutes away so bring your food. These are all issues which are out of the owners control. The only issue in their control is that there is only one firepit for the motel guests and the firewood is expensive ($20). This is a small family run business so you do have to clean and vacuum your room when you leave which is unusual, but it is not a big deal.

Beautiful secluded nature. View of the lake. Great for boating. Can bring your own food to cook using the kitchenette (recommended).

Beds were rather uncomfortable. Walls are a little thin. The restaurant prices are very high for very low quality food (dinner). Never went back to try breakfast. Have to clean the room before you leave or get charged.

Camping with style and comfort. Feets away from water and still can enjoy comfort of modern life like kitchen, washroom and beds. Location was perfect near groomed snow mobile , ski trail. Owners were knowledgeable and curtious.

Loved the cottage feeling of the resort, the fact that they served great meals and the friendly hosts. Relaxing, up-dated but not luxurious, clean, no obligatory spa facilities!

Nothing really we didn't like -- might have been nice to have some hiking trails.

absolutely breathtaking location, feels like a wooden cabin lost in the woods next to a fantastic lake. the owner was very nice and the restaurant has great food as well as delicious german beers. prices are very reasonable. we'd love to come back and spend more time there.

the heating/ventilation system in the room was very loud - loud enough to wake you up when it kicks in.

The view was amazing, we could see the lake lying in bed! The food was great too, both dinner and breakfast tasted great. Everybody and the dog was super friendly. We rented a motor boat for an hour, it was so much fun:) Can't wait to go back. One more thing to mention...the water pressure of the shower was amazing!

The design of the room could be more modern, and I was hoping that I could get some wifi signal in the room. But without the signal, I felt more relaxing. It was good to watch the stars once in a while, instead of staring at computer screens.

This is a German owned place. Everything was like a clockwork, spotless and strictly beautiful.

You have to clean the room yourself and leave it in proper order otherwise you will get charged.
