i liked the chalets nice to have our own space an the food Was really good.
WiFi didn't reach far pass the main building an room had a fish smell when we got there air freshener would have bin nice
local environment, surroundings, views
poorly noise insulated accommodation
We stayed in the Village Chalet and had a beautiful view of the mountains and lake. The chalet was luxurious with heated floors and was very clean and spacious. It was also very quiet.
That it wasn't more pet friendly. We have a small bichon Shih tzu who is like our child and comes everywhere with us. I think there should be more pet-friendly accommodations (e.g., chalets) for those with large dogs and those with small. Our dog is less maintenance on a place than a rambunctious child that is running around
I loved the value for money and the fact the kitchen and eating area were separate from the bedroom. The hot springs were awesome, a little busy but that's to be expected.
We stayed in a studio chalet, which was basically the ground floor of one unit. I wouldn't suggest this accommodation if you're looking for a relaxing break - the people on the floor above us (at least 10 of them up there) threw a party and played music and shouted til gone 2am, not even our tv could drown out their voices. We would have called front desk at the time but there wasn't a phone in our room! We let them know the next morning and they brought a new phone to us.
the pools are awesome clean pool towels were appreciated the food and service in the restaurant is top notch after the campus roads and garden construction is done it will be very nice beautiful surroundings - post card perfect scenery
the rough roads around the cabins were not good for my cars low clearance. need more road edge indicators
The cottage we rented had only one chair, one of us had to sit on the bed. The flooring was coming up in the bathroom and there were dead and alive bugs and spiders. The whole environment was looking very tired as was the hot springs pool. There were tiles missing and looked unclean. I got an eye infection from the facility. We had been there a year and half ago and felt Halcyon Hot Springs has certainly slipped in all areas. We will not be back
The room was out of this world! Excellent stay all the way around!
Loved our cottage. It was our 10 yr anniversary and it was so nice to just relax together. We did not need anything more than what we had. It was perfect!
I didn't like that we had to leave!
Room was nice, but lacks anywhere to hang things up
Restaurant was not good and did not stand behind their food! Had lamb, good flavor, I ate the vegies as I couldn't chew the meat, chef agreed, "sorry: $30 later! No place withing 20 minutes else to eat!
If you are looking for a getaway from the hustle and bustle, this is the stay for you! Quiet and serene in beautiful surroundings, with soothing hot springs and excellent food, this resort allows you to disconnect and recharge. A great stay!
Thought our units floor could have used a good sweep!
Had an awesome facial and massage..the food was fabulous.
Poofy bed. Too soft for my back.
I love the comfort of the beds, the clean cabins and of very much the Hot Springs.
That we had to leave. I will next time explore the hiking and surrounding areas. and stay for the week end not just for a day :)
The facilities-pool, restaurant, front desk, and cottage-were first class.
walking trails pools
limited menu at restaurant
Hot spring pool was nice
I reserved a king room with kitchen and fireplace to celebrate our anniversary. We did not receive any of the above. Instead, we were given a room with no kitchen, no fireplace, and 2 double beds... Not very romantic to spend anniversary. The info the hotel received from booking.com did not include any info on king bed, which started the whole fiasco.
I know we will return, it was a beautiful location with amazing food, a comfortable chalet, and some nice places to walkabout.
can't be helped, but no cell was a bit of a pain.
We enjoyed the pools, the view and restaurant. The food was fabulous!
We came for our first time from Nakusp but were surprised with lack if signs. We almost turned around but knew it was ahead, just didn't realize how far. The only sign we saw was the 5 min. ahead. More signs closer to Nakusp would be most helpful.
The Pools and scenery were beautiful, however change rooms could have been cleaner. The restaurant was exceptional, food and service certainly 5 star
The cabins are small and no place for luggage, and no air conditioning was disappointing. It did cool down somewhat at night but could not be inside at all for first few hours. Beautiful spot, scenery is excellent but be prepared the cabins are nothing like the website shows
Loved the hot spring pools and location! What a beautiful spot! Also liked that there was no wifi in the chalets - gave us more time to rest, relax and have meaningful conversations. We slept great after relaxing in the pools all evening.
Food was awful. My friend had raved about the food but they must have had a new chef & every single meal we had wasn't great. There was mold on our berries for breakfast and dinner was pretty bland and not at all what I was expecting.
Location, hot springs.
Noisy kids in pool, not spa like!
Room was clean.
A Room with bad ventilation
The pools were great.
We booked a chalet for 4 but it looked like it was more intended for 2. There was one bedroom and one pull out couch in the living. There was no duvet or cover provided for those sleeping on the couch and we had to use the extra blanket assigned for the bedroom. It was not that clean for the price. There were used socks left in the bath tub, etc. We will definitely look for a different accomodation next time.
Beauty of setting privacy of cabin and good meals.
That we didnt stay longer.
the hot pools were very relaxing
had to ask for coffee in the restaurant 3 different times the bed in the cottage was one of the worse we had ever slept on
