Can't expect more unless you pay more
The place is fair in everything
it was fairly quiet , comfortable bed ,location was close to where I had to go. The lady checked me in was very nice as was the guy who checked me out .
not enough channels on TV and small TV mind you I have a 52" TV at home so used to a big screen TV
It was a decent place for the price that was paid. Clean and cozy.
Even though it was a room for three people, there were only towels for two.
floor seemed dirty. TV remote on/off button didn't work well.
Friendly and good value. No complaints .
Bathroom wasn't clean. Lighting was poor. Very old TV with very few channels. Free breakfast was just a tiny snack.
I booked it this summer, and I think the price is worth. When I opened the door, I was suprised with the room; I like the room with kitchen, for it is really wonderful. I can cook meal with my girl fried. We enjoyed a lot in this hotel.
The staff were friendly. I booked the same day on booking.com and went to the hotel about 1 hour later and they already had the paperwork ready for us. Good location and rooms for the price.
They could use a bit more stuff for the breakfast, even cereal and milk
I was very disappointed in the minimal breakfast choices. There was no cereal, bread, jams, peanut butter...only choice was 1/2 bagel, muffins and doughnuts...and no toaster for even our own bread. They should not be advertizing that breakfast is included because it's NOT!
The front desk staff were very helpful with directions & travel arrangements.
Both beds had dirty sheets. Floor was also quite dirty & didn't appear to be vaccumed regularly.
continental breakfast was a plus
I've really nothing to complain about.
Locations was convenient for me for that particular weekend activities.
Not very clean…bedspread had spots on it that I did not want to try to identify. Blanket was even worse. Room was very, very small. Hallway was long, dark and very narrow. Breakfast which I included in my booking was donuts and coffee….not exactly worth the price.
Location was good for us. Staff very helpful and friendly. Good value for money. Although it didn't say anything about breakfast I did see things in reception - might be worth checking. Just up the road is "Lost in the 50's" burger place - great.
A bit noisy in the morning although mainly due to other guests leaving. May be worth asking for a room on the back if available.
The front staff guy is alright, as are the rooms. Light continental breakfast. The rooms are outdated, but they are fine for an evening or two, and the in-suite kitchenette is a nice addition.
Fitness Room was locked... I'm not sure if you can ever use it. Old style and not very exciting, but safe and secure.
The friendly staff, the picture postcard view from our room. An above average motel at a cheap rate, considering the location. Some posts complain about the breakfast, which is free. At most motels, you get none at all!
The room was just a little cramped. Perhaps not unusual in a city like Vancouver
not much choice for con. breakfast
We stayed here because it's really close to some friends. Otherwise the location might not be all that handy. The rooms are smallish but well appointed, everything works, the carpet is clean and not worn out, and nothing smells like it shouldn't. For 99 dollars we felt we got our money's worth.
The room was ok Nd staff was great.
When I was looking on Booking.com they had a room with 2 queen beds so I booked it but the day I checked in staff informed me they had no queen size beds.
Staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. The rooms were very clean. Great sleep all week, no outside noise. Close proximity to BWC.
Facility and furnishings are old and could use some sprucing up.
internet connection poor, very slow
More variety of bread could be provided at breakfast. The quanitiyof bread could also be made more sufficient.
This motel was cheaper than others (but I rather paid more, than lived there). Good A/C. Good receptionist.
Almost inexistent breakfest. No access to laundry. No access to the gym. Untrusted wifi network.
Location is best, Fair room price
A bit more for breakfast. Room airconditioner was noisy
Convenient to our purpose within Burnaby
We requested a NON SMOKING room but upon arrival we were being put into a SMOKING room. Day staff had a suitable room but it hadn't been cleaned yet then night staff (who said he was the owner of the hotel) INSISTED we had to take the smoking room. We were hassled and ready to leave. At the last minute it got changed to the NON SMOKING room. The second thing we didn't like was: after having given our credit information in advance and it was confirmed with proper ID upon arrival a $150 was charged to our credit card immediately for damage deposit plus we were told to pay the two days accommodation up front! We were told the $150 would be credited back to us BUT we had no proof upon leaving the establishment that our money would be returned except verbally. This is bad business in first being hassled over the room and secondly not having the deposit returned before leaving the establishment!!
