Wi-Fi was better than last time, but
it always take me some days before getting it working on my laptop from my room (and even when it works, it is not very good). but from the kitchen it's ok
Nice room, on site parking, excellent value for price.
Bathroom was 1 floor up.
The location was so nice being close to the subway and street cars. It was very quiet and the rooms are very clean and adorable.
The internet was so·so, but I didn't need it much so I was ok with that.
location. Very close to the Metro and in downtown.
Since we share one dining room, I make a friend with a girl who is also interested in museum. It's a great experience!
The check-in time is after 4pm. I arrived early and have to wait for near an hour.
spacious pleasant room, wooden floors, very clean, close to Bloor and subways, quiet, friendly, use of kitchen. great value.
Clean, quiet, comfortable, very well located and value for money unbeatable.
No wifi. The wifi was down which is a big minus, because it forced me to use some roaming data.
perfect b&b. Gary was nice and uncomplicated.
kitchen could need some modernization but since we only ate breakfast there it was ok.
I could walk to University of Toronto. Also, the subway station Spadina is not far.
WiFi: first day no WiFi (repaird on the day after), then for two days my laptop could not connect (for sure a comaptibility problem, and maybe it was enought to restart the router), then it worked, but the signal was very weak, and almost non-existing in my room.
Everything was there what I needed
Stairs to the front door.
It was really hot and humid in Toronto that week so the a/c was not efficient enough and was very noisy.
Staff is nice, considerate and helpful. The place is clean especially the washroom. Room is comfortable like home. Subway was just few minutes walk and that's very convinence especially I arrived in Union station. Normally I just rate for accom. but Havin is a place that worth my comment.
-big room -tv
Owner was quite friendly and helpful. Located near metro.
Air conditioning was incredibly noisy so couldn't be used at night. Wi-fi was just awful and often didn't work. Kitchen facilities were not that great.
Gary is very nice and funny. The location is very convenient.
Hotel quality rooms with hostel facilities
Bathroom floor constantly a bit wet and muddy. Navigating the floor after having a shower and not getting your feet dirty was an inconvenience. However this is the only fault with the hostel and it wasnt really a problem, just an issue caused by a muddy guest!
I had my doubts about sharing a bathroom. Would it be clean, and would I have access to it when I needed it? Well, it was spotless, and using it was never a problem. I was there on a Fri,Sat ,Sun. They have 5 rooms. My room was large, the bed was super comfortable, and the place was cleaner than clean. It's a cool old house and everything is only a few blocks away--subway, bus, restaurants, grocery stores, and bars. They also have a nice shared kitchen area. I really enjoyed staying here!
I can't think of anything negative about Havinn. Toronto is expensive, especially the food and they have a 13% tax! Go to Chinatown for cheap eats.
Friendly host, clean place, good location close to subway
air conditioning was noisy at times
The owner is very quind
Very bad mattress. It was extremely uncomfortable, bent down in the middle. The house is quite old, and so is the furniture.
The staff was very helpful & the room was comfortable. We will return if we visit the city again.
good location and very clean, comfortable bed
We were meeting up from different cities & arrivals weren't on time. Gary was extremely flexible & helpful. Room was quiet - (except for morning robins) & bed comfy with cozy duvet. Very clean.
No morning coffee. There is a kitchen, if we were staying more than a couple of nights but as it is we had to go out to find coffee.
Enjoyed staying with a local who could share with us places to go and great places to eat. The price was spot on and we loved being able to walk everywhere or use the subway.
