Clean, bright, quiet and friendly with excellent views across bay from all rooms. It is a motel, with the feel of a Safari Lodge, but rooms have everything one could want and we watched wild deer at the waters edge. The Owners were very friendly. Well worth noting is that the Owners will, if requested in advance, prepare a gourmet evening meal and judging by the breakfast this would be well worth while as the local alternative we were eat the previous evening we were far from impressed with. BBQ facilities are also available in the garden.

It's a great location close to Digby and right on the water, with a beach for walking or swimming. The deck is a pleasant place to sit and watch the sunset. The staff was helpful in giving me directions and getting me a discounted whale watch reservation. The room pictured on the website is brighter and more modern than the room I was given. Also, not a complaint, but this is a family-type hotel. Don't book it if you expect lots of quiet all day long.

As a well seasoned traveler, I can honestly say that my stay at the Hedley House was an exceptional experience. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the hosts hospitable and well-informed, and the ambiance exquisite. The gardens were absolutely lovely and breakfast was awesome. The location was in close proximity to outdoor activities, as well as to amenities. The sunsets over the ocean from our private deck were breath-taking. I would recommend this seaside escape to all travelers; families, couples and seniors.

we found the inn inviting and friendly. the view from the cottages was amazing while sitting on your deck. when we come back this will be the place to stay. the owners are friendly and attentive
