Staff and atmosphere was friendly and enjoyable. Dinning restaurant offered nice reasonably priced meals. Common areas were large with plenty of seating and power points.
Very small bunk rooms, old bunks, uncomfortable bedding and linen, bunk lights didn't work, old facilities, lockers and bunk storage were broken and in bad condition.
Sauna, 24hr front desk free parking social kitchen, quiet after 11pm. Could buy ski passes as front desk too
Twin room was smallest I have seen. WiFi needed signing in frequenly
Great cooking facilities and games room. Very clean bathrooms and showers.
- private room option was good with the washroom right outside the door and a choice of three showers just down the hall that were clean and available - great breakfast place attached to the hotel - lockers for luggage storage - it was quiet for a hostel for a weekend - very friendly check in staff
1) Gorgeous attic living space with couches, tables, a pool table, and a log fire. A very nice, relaxing, and festive space. Did not feel like a hostel at all. 2) Good showers. 3) Restaurant on site. 4) Great kitchen facilities. 5) Sauna 6) TV room 7) Feels like there is a good standard of cleanliness throughout the hostel.
1) The rooms are small. It was fine when it was just me and one other person, but felt very overcrowded and stuffy when all four beds were full. 2) The individual lights are too bright, and disruptive to anyone else trying to sleep. 3) Breakfast not included, and food in Lake Louise is incredibly expensive. (I recommend the nearby bakery as the only reasonably priced option for a good breakfast.)
The fireplace in the main lounge and dining room are spectacular and definetly a highlight!
The bed could have used another blanket.
Good location + free parking, warm rooms, hot showers
WIFI was patchy, the cafe inside the hostel was horrible. The worst meal of my trip in Canada - the meat patty of my burger could have been used a hockey puk.
Cleanliness, beds very comfortable, kitchen extremly well-equipped, even with large bottles of spices and olive oil for shared use. Helpful staff, very quiet at night. Wonderful hot showers.
Way TOO HOT at night in rooms. I was there in early October, and it was not necessary to have so much heating (not to mention the waste of energy this implies, in a facility otherwise quite attentive to environmental concerns).
Very comfortable, lots of space Bathroom in the room was nice Room was a good temperature, not too hot like other hostels in the same area
Wifi didn't work in the rooms
You Conan get plenty information from the desk!
Very poor Wifi! I need to finish an assessment online, which took 60 minutes. The Wifi couldn't allow it! I went to Lake Louise Inn to borrow the Wifi!
Nice lounge, Peyto's Cafe is really good, Clean and comfortable rooms.
Kind of far away from the actual Lake if you don't have a car. (But one could always hitch a ride, I guess). The Wi-Fi was unfortunately pretty weak, even in the lounge.
Cleanliness Cafe food Location Staff
Wifi was lacking Shower stalls a little small
everything except too expensive for backpackers
The location was perfect. The onsite restaurant gives great value for money and lovely food. The staff were friendly and helpful. There are laundry facilities and social areas to hang out in, use wifi etc.
The wifi connection wasn't always great. The shared kitchen for guests downstairs got rather dirty at times (which is the fault of the guests, not the hostel).
Location was great, and the proximity to the local amenities helped. Surrounded by mountains, this hostel came complete with comfortable rooms, common areas, and beautiful scenic views in all directions. The massive fireplace became a social meeting space to play board games and talk to other hostel guest and travellers.
Wifi never worked, and a town-wide power outage completely shut down the hostel during our first night.
Peyto's café onsite was brilliant. Wonderfully friendly staff and good, cheap food in a place where moderately priced cafes are quite rare.
Tiny, tiny room! Heating unable to be turned down so left window open (snowing outside) to cool to a reasonable temperature.
The environment...air, water, pine smell, views
Location was great, staff friendly and helpful and the cafe served good, reasonably priced meals.
Seemed expensive for a small room with shared bathroom and WiFi was a bit flakey.
Very good backpackers, nice location, good common kitchen and rooms.
Everything, from the lovely building to great staff and facilities
Large kitching with lot of tools, large and cosy lounge area, comfy beds, toilet and sink in the room
A big hostel The WiFi is very slow!
some staff was helpful
charged more than I booked with booking.com no help when power was cut
very convenient transfer to the lake louise. Good facilities
Simplicity , functionality
Better wifi is needed in all rooms.
Excellent breakfast and services was fast and freindly so you could get on the hill in their cafe which is a great option when you don't feel like cooking your meals in their kitchen.
Not all the elements on their stoves were in working order. Big screen t.v. was also not working but lots of other choices such as billiards/pool table and lounge area to read.
