Nice lounge, Peyto's Cafe is really good, Clean and comfortable rooms.
Kind of far away from the actual Lake if you don't have a car. (But one could always hitch a ride, I guess). The Wi-Fi was unfortunately pretty weak, even in the lounge.
Cleanliness Cafe food Location Staff
Wifi was lacking Shower stalls a little small
everything except too expensive for backpackers
The location was perfect. The onsite restaurant gives great value for money and lovely food. The staff were friendly and helpful. There are laundry facilities and social areas to hang out in, use wifi etc.
The wifi connection wasn't always great. The shared kitchen for guests downstairs got rather dirty at times (which is the fault of the guests, not the hostel).
Location was great, and the proximity to the local amenities helped. Surrounded by mountains, this hostel came complete with comfortable rooms, common areas, and beautiful scenic views in all directions. The massive fireplace became a social meeting space to play board games and talk to other hostel guest and travellers.
Wifi never worked, and a town-wide power outage completely shut down the hostel during our first night.
Peyto's café onsite was brilliant. Wonderfully friendly staff and good, cheap food in a place where moderately priced cafes are quite rare.
Tiny, tiny room! Heating unable to be turned down so left window open (snowing outside) to cool to a reasonable temperature.
The environment...air, water, pine smell, views
Location was great, staff friendly and helpful and the cafe served good, reasonably priced meals.
Seemed expensive for a small room with shared bathroom and WiFi was a bit flakey.
Very good backpackers, nice location, good common kitchen and rooms.
Everything, from the lovely building to great staff and facilities
Large kitching with lot of tools, large and cosy lounge area, comfy beds, toilet and sink in the room
A big hostel The WiFi is very slow!
some staff was helpful
charged more than I booked with booking.com no help when power was cut
very convenient transfer to the lake louise. Good facilities
Simplicity , functionality
Better wifi is needed in all rooms.
Excellent breakfast and services was fast and freindly so you could get on the hill in their cafe which is a great option when you don't feel like cooking your meals in their kitchen.
Not all the elements on their stoves were in working order. Big screen t.v. was also not working but lots of other choices such as billiards/pool table and lounge area to read.
Friendly, helpful staff, good location, big clean kitchen.
Very hard and uncomfortable bed, overpriced and very small room (double), room key did not work in kitchen until re-keyed.
Rec room with the fireplace and couches
Great location. Perfect for a large group of friends. The large kitchen space was great for a communal meal. Enjoyed relaxing in front of the fireplace in the evening.
Affordable, great place to stay with friends, prepare food together in the common kitchen, dine together and share the beautiful surroundings together.
Friendly staff and great location. Price was right and surprisingly quiet
A little hard to spot from the street. Could've been slightly better marked
the reception was not easy to find especially at night, there were some odders in the room about the sweat, the waitress in restaurant was so so
The activities were lots of fun and the staff were super friendly. More like friends than people who run the place. Very laid back and I met a variety of different travellers from all over the world.
The comforters weren't cleaned every time a new person would stay. It said not to bring a sleeping bag on the website but next time I think I'd take one.
I liked the new cups and cutlery in the kitchen, and the many clean tea towels provided.
The facilities like kitchen and laundry where super helpful. And really helped with the cost.
The staff did not seem to know much about the local area and the prices at the dinner where a little high. For example $12 -$16 for breakfast was a bit much.
Well equippped kitchen, friendly staff and quiet sleeping rooms. Unfortunately, the painful bed cancelled out the quiet for our rest.
We had a private room. The bed was painful. The mattress was so thin we penetrated to the board beneath with our shoulderblades and bums. We ended up bringing in our thermarests from the car and sleeping on those. Also, going to the front desk to get the new wifi password every day was extremely annoying.
