The Garden District of downtown Toronto is home to this centrally located hotel, placed only moments from the Eaton Centre shopping plaza and offering spacious accommodations and modern on-site...

The hotel room was spacious and the bed really comfy. I came to Toronto to go to Niagara Falls and that tour was great. My suggestion, go to the falls and move on.
Unfortunately there were more things I didn't like. First as a solo female traveller, this hotel is not in a good location. While it is close to the downtown core, there were so many panhandlers and homeless from nearby shelters asking for money (some becoming quite aggressive when told no). I felt unsafe particularly at night. There was a Tim Horton's coffee shop across the road where there was always someone begging for money at the front door, in fact being inside did not guarantee you were free of harassment, as one drug affected young man was going from person to person in the line! Secondly just some minor things, having to renew wifi lease every single day is just annoying. The staff at the hotel were not particularly helpful in pointing out places of interest in the city. There was a fridge and coffee machine, but no basic utensils, which I know is so you have room service, eat at the hotel or go out, but due to my first point this would have made my stay better. Overall the hotel is nice, the location is not.
The restaurant staff were the best, friendly and very helpful. Loved the bed with the firmness dial and the pool was nice and clean. Room was spacious and well furnished. The desk and free wifi were very useful for this business trip. The Keurig coffee makes and a virtually unlimited supply of coffee was a very nice touch.
The reception staff were not very helpful and had a "couldn't care less" attitude each time I needed help. Housekeeping was not the best and hallways were quite often littered with room service trays for most of the day. NOT the best of locations either - unless you jump in a taxi right at the door you have to run the gauntlet of an assortment of people that were clearly into various "substances".
Staff was very friendly. Bar on site able to accommodate my needs.
While still downtown, not in the best area of town.
Reception staff was Great !!! Bed was really comfy!
Would have liked more sugar and creamers in the room.
The two story room was great with a beautiful view of the Toronto night skyline.
The sofa bed wasn't very comfortable.
Location The Keurig coffee maker Bed was firm and comfortable, sheets soft Location to entertainment and dining was within walking distance, park and walk around the city
Valet parking was $42, park across the street for $10 Thought breakfast included, got an additional $15 per person charge showing up on the 2nd floor
It was a beautiful hotel for the price. Actually, just beautiful straight up but even more noticeable at that price point. We stayed at a competitor two nights later down the street that seemed like a dump in comparison and it cost more. But included breakfast and had cheaper parking. So price wise it was a wash. All that being said, I would stay at the Hilton every time give the option between the two.
It would have been perfect had breakfast been included. The breakfast they did have was very good and very expensive. Parking was also very expensive and valet is the only option. We don't like valet parking so it kinda sucked not having a choice in the matter. Especially since you didn't have access to your vehicle and had to unload everything all at once when you checked in.
everything the security the management the way they treated us
Tell staff was very friendly and helpful. The bed was really comfortable. Location was great for downtown activities.
All the homeless people who were around the perimeter of the hotel. We had a man come inside Casey's while we were eating and ask us for money and then if he could have my fries..
The location was central
The staff were unfriendly and not very helpful. The room was needing a bit of TLC. There was no kitchen equipment which was ridiculous considering there was a microwave and fridge to use. The valet service and concierge were very slow.
The hotel was clean, staff was great, rooms were beautiful and it was close to where we had our business meeting the following day.
The location wasn't the best, we didn't feel very safe to go any further from the hotel for dinner at 8pm and even the next day the 'company' surrounding the hotel wasn't the best.
friendly helpful staff at front doors. Caseys restaurant attached to hotel , very good service as well.
wifi was a problem to get hooked up.
Fridge & Coffee maker free Internet
Room and Lobby decore
Not struck with the location
Excellent wifi connection, good location, pub inside the hotel
You cannot really go out around the hotel at night, there is a number of drunks
The hotel was great! The staff was wonderful and we stayed in a beautiful room! It just so happened that we had left a sterling silver necklace behind in the room. When I spoke with house keeping, it was found and they were so helpful! I was able to pick up the necklace the same day. I can't wait to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn again. The location was fabulous!
Being importuned by drunks every time we left the hotel. On each bed there was only one cover which was too warm--remove it and too cold.Keurig machines are only as good as the coffee supplied. Lady at front desk hard to understand.
Location of hotel was central, short distance to metro and Young Street as well as Eaton Centre.
Seemed to be a lot of homeless people in the vicinity of the hotel and each time you went out you were approached for money - very off putting and as a woman I did not feel safe. Although one thing helped there was always security presence at the door of hotel. Homelessness is a problem in many cities and but local authorities should address this.
clean enough, staff is friendly. I had to check out a few days early, and the front desk told me I would be refunded the 3 days that I paid for but won't be there for.
I was never refunded the 3 days, and since I still had the room, I could have given it to my friends to take advantage of. I feel cheated
A fantastic location, took couple of days to work out St Lawrence Market was previously a Jail and at the end of 'Old' Toronto. Kings Niagara Tour great value for Monet - Save money and book online. Very safe.
Odd Homeless person tends to hang around outside front of hotel, not usually aggressive, just a little daunting first couple of times.
Amazing location and staff Booked the king evolution whirlpool suite room #529 With so much to do there was no time to sleep Really liked the valet service
Whirlpool was kinda loud There was a big party next door but it didnt really bother us that much, was actually kinda funny hearing a bunch of loud rowdy kids getting their freak on, oh how i really miss being young.....
The excessive rate for parking
Smart hotel. Huge room with great facilities and great view. No more than 10 minutes walk from railway station (providing great access, with one easy train change, to Airport), and to central city hub square.
Were given a room with door to adjacent room. Poor sound proofing with noisy adjoining guests. Many "homeless/seedy" characters hanging around the adjoining streets.
Nice room. Decent view. Close to the elevator. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. There was a comfortable couch by the window making a little sitting area. They had a good breakfast ( not included in the price). There was a continental breakfast) plus a waffle machine. They made fresh eggs and you could order them anyway you wanted with bacon or sausage or an omelette with veggies and cheese. I had poached which were perfect.
The first room they gave me stunk of tobacco. How nobody noticed is beyond me. They did give me another room which was better situated and much nicer. They could have been nicer at the front desk. I saw the same glasses sit in the front of the elevator in the hall for hours before they were picked up. The toilet paper was in a strange location not exactly next to the toilet.
