I have stayed in countless bed and breakfasts over the years but the Wilson Guy House tops the lists. Excellent location, beautiful historic house, comfortable and charming rooms and a most amenable, helpful host. The delicious breakfast in the lovely dining room overlooking the garden is a treat not to be missed. We were in NOTL for a meeting and could walk everywhere. Looking forward to a return visit.
Very good location, lovely town, excellent breakfasts and WiFi. The room had nice old fashioned character, creaking floorboards, sloping floor, but a good size and a comfortable bed. Ray, the current owner, is a wonderful and helpful host.
Room was too hot and the two small windows hard to open. The slope of the roof meant showering slightly uncomfortable if you are taller than 5'10".
We liked the genuine atmosphere of this almost 200 year old house and the attention to detail. Our host was very attentive and prepared us a delicious breakfast in the morning. We felt really "at home". Great location too.
Location near theatre andshops. Good fellow travellers.
Rigid breakfast time 9am Poor parking at side of house. Expensive for what you get. Understand the property is for Sale.
All that matters, for a comfortable stay
Nothing, great proprietor!
engaging helpful host.
Coffee brought to our room an hour before a delicious breakfast was served. Great way to start the day. Guy was informative and helpful. The house was spotless. There were bathrobes to borrow, wine glasses and a cork screw in the room. Books to read and easy chairs in the room. In addition the house invited lots of sunlight in. Fabulous outdoor patio/garden with tables, benches, chairs to just hang out in. A fridge available if we wanted to bring food in.
We were only able to stay one night. A week there would have been heavenly.
Very comfortable room. Well maintained. Clean. Beautiful picturesque town. Convenient for Niagara Falls with none of the tacky commercialism. Excellent breakfast.
We really enjoyed our stay with Ray at the Wilson Guy House. He was very friendly, hospitable and full of knowledge regarding the history of the the house and the area. We plan to visit again in the fall and we are very much looking forward to our visit again.
Ray is a charming host with a flare for creating delicious breakfasts. He has had an interesting life and enjoys chatting with guests.
We had difficulty with Wifi and our room upstairs was too hot the first night. We mentioned it to Ray and AC was adjusted. No Wifi.
Location is great, host is friendly, makes an excellent breakfast, and gives good suggestions on restaurants and things to do in the area.
WE IN JOYED OUR STAY AND WOULD GO BACK.
Very good, friendly service. Great location, comfortable beds. We will go back!
Very small TV screen--not a major issue.
Wilson Guy House is a charming property ideally located just off the centre of town. its ideal for anyone attending the annual Shaw Festival as I was. I had a delightful room with loads of space and a very comfortable bed. Ray Guy was a very generous host and serves a great breakfast. He was particularly helpful with local information about walks, local restaurants and wineries. He also went to no end of trouble to help me out with ongoing travel arrangements. I can only say if you're lucky enough to get a booking here don't miss it!
There's nothing to dislike about Wilson Guy House.
The room was very comfortable, spacious and clean. The owner was friendly and engaging and provided a lovely breakfast.
...having to leave.
It was in a great location to the village of Niagara on the Lake and you could walk to town or the lake or a Shaw play. Ray provided a delicious meal, quaint rooms and a lovely garden.
The location is ideal for enjoying the delights of NOTL: theatre, shopping, strolling through the parks and gardens, walking along the lakeside. Ray,our host, was extremely welcoming and friendly. He shared his local knowledge and his love of music and theatre. And his breakfasts are 5*
