Amazing location. Only steps from Queens street. One of many historical buildings. The owner was kind and generous. Felt very much at home. Minutes from many of the best wineries.

The Historic Wilson-Guy House is a classical five bay Georgian style house aged over 200 years. It is a historical property, listed in the Canadian heritage and one of the first homes to be re-built after the war of 1812. The Wilson House was build circa 1816 by John Wilson, a merchant and the keeper of a local hotel where the newly formed Law Society of Upper Canada first met. The house still has many original features - the six-panel front door with coloured glass transom overhead, three wood burning fireplaces, the pine wood flooring, chair-rail and skirting, the rich mahogany stair-rail, the exterior wood, the handsome 12 over 12 sash windows and most of the glass. The house is furnished with period furniture and has a lovely built-in corner cabinets and a red period wallpaper in the dining room. The property is licensed by the Town of Niagara on the lake, license No. 050-2024.

Niagara-on-the-lake, often called the 'Prettiest Town' in Canada, was once the first capital of Upper Canada (now the province of Ontario) and is one of the historic places to visit in Canada. It is also the home of the famous Shaw theatre festival and visited by many theatre lovers. In the recent years, the historic town has become one of the favourite areas for fine dining, wining and shopping. Currently the area has over 35 wineries and estates.
