Staffs are friendly and helpful
the smell in the room is not ok.
This hotel is located in what is known as the "strip" of Vancouver, Las Vegas without the casinos.
Friendly and caring staff. Beds were ok. Nice photos in the hallways.
Disappointed for the price and reputation we expected more. Rooms were small no iron, no fridge facility, no view except of a decrepit back alley. Previous patrons dirty towels left in bathroom. Nasty unidentified smell in the halls. Really? Is it that hard to clean a room properly??
Location of hotel in walking distance of downtown attractions. Public transport easily accessible. Fair selection of coffee shops and bistros within walking distance of hotel. Hotel staff helpful. Clothes washing facilities available.
No breakfast included in price. Hotel decor requires update. Area immediately around hotel is somewhat unsavoury, and rooms on upper floors are better for a good nights rest.
Central in Vancouver
Hotel could do with some refurbishment
Staff were helpful, especially Vincent on the front desk. Offered me the choice of another room.
The rooms smell of dampness.
Central, everything was in walking distance. Bars and Restaurants near by
Weekend noise till about 3 o'clock in the morning
- perfect location - nice perfume in the lobby - helpful and nice employee
- toilet got clogged very easily - we could hear the people next door. - smell not so good in the corridor 4th floor
A lot of loud music to keep you awake all night.
Good location if you want to be in the heart of downtown
Rooms could use a bit of an upgrade....hello 80s! Had a bit of a musky smell as well.....
too noisy, facilities are very old, room is smal and what's the smell?
no ice machine found on our floor, vending machine not stocked well
Definitely the location. The room itself was fine (aside from the fact I had to be switched from one room to another on a totally different floor, due to the unbearable smell). It was small but functional. But, I have to say that the bed was super comfortable. The staff were average at best.
It was a very smelly hotel. It probably used to be a smoking building, full of smokers. This is mixed with other kinds of unpleasant smell (most likely mold). The smell is hard to describe, but really unbearable in some hallways and some floors. They have air fresheners all over, but that hardly solved this problem. The hallway carpet is filthy dirty, worse than anything I've seen anywhere!!! The staff are semi friendly; needless to say they failed to explain anything to me upon arrival. All in all, the hotel is way overpriced for the amenities it offers. Definitely not a recommended stay aside from its location.
Couple blocks to downtown and yaletown. Easy walk to seawall and tons of restaurants. Decent Hotel with nice decor and facilities for the age of the building. Great homebase for a visit.
Small rooms and weak wifi signal. Parking was a bit pricey.
Sorry I could not call you, my phone internet is not working in Canada. I have to go to my room and use wifi.
The hotel itself was good, clean, easy to get to by car or bus
I was on the back side but the noise until 4:00 A.M. from Granville was terrific--lots of yelling, laughter and parties on the street. I feel if you were with young children you wouldn't go out on the street with them--too many street people and tough looking ones at that. The hotel isn't at fault there. I chose this hotel as I was attending a business seminar around Arbutus and I had thought I was not bringing my car and would take the bus for the seminar starting at 7:15 A.M. Glad I brought my car as I was in business attire in the morning and I'm an older woman.
How poorly I was treated. And they tried to charge me for an additional 5 people when only 3 were sleeping in the the room! Security Guard was very disrespectful and treated me like I was a criminal. I felt so embarrassed when I came back at 2am so I could grab my bags with my girlfriend and leave. It was then that I was told that I had 5 people staying in the room so they would charge me for those.
location easy to find clean downtown
no parking area a bit sketchy
Close to the sea; located in Downtown; close to Stanley Park ...
Faster WiFi speed would make the hotel perfect.
This hotel is centrally located on Granville within walking distance of pretty much everything. Value wise this is a $120/night (before tax) hotel at best - clean, decently comfy bed, tv, clean towels, a/c but no frills. If you can book it around that price its okay but you would be better off burning your money if you book at the ridiculously high prices upward of $300/night (before tax) advertised during busy nights in the city.
Where to start. Staff/Service: First off let me just say that we usually find chain hotels to be held up to a certain standard when it comes to customer service. If you have a problem on site you can usually call the main customer service line and have your issue resolved quickly. The contacted the hotel on our behalf and the staff as ignoring the call continued to show extreme unprofessionalism and did not help us with our concerns. They acted as if they were doing us a favour by checking us in. We stayed there for three nights in a week with a day in between each night and when we were checking in the last of the three nights my card declined I knew that it still had room so I phoned the cc company and upon reviewing my account we discovered that it was over the limit because they had pre-authorized 150 on top of each stay not 100 dollar which is what was agreed upon at check-in and what showed on my receipt and what I signed for. Furthermore I was told to let them know that if they ran the card for 25 dollars less I would go through and that the first pre-authorization for incidentals amounting to 150 for the first night would be released the following day, unfortunately it was a Sunday which really lowers options. I got of the phone and told the front desk what I found out and showed them an email as evidence of what I had discovered. I was disgusted at how the rep. proceeded to tell me that I was wrong and without the full payment I could not check-in and I would be liable for payment of the full night. Luckily I made the booking through booking.com and I let them know the situation and that I did not care for that establishment any more and they helped they cancel my stay for that night penalty free and needless to say I told them I wanted to cancel the four days that I had previously booked for later that week.
The staff were very pleasant and friendly and Wi-Fi was free.
There was black mold on the caulking in the bathroom and on the bath mat. There were big stains on the hallway carpet. The room was small and smelled funky. The area is fairly rough. There were used drug needles in the small outdoor parking lot and a lot of homeless people on the street. Parking is very limited.
size of room clean bathroom quickly sorted out a travel crib for us for our daughter
smelly corridor very dated and musty in general noise from the night club below
Close to downtown restaurants and shopping.
The hotel carpets smelled very bad. the overall odor smelled like a rustic football locker room.
Shower curtain did not fit properly, water on floor every time I had a shower. Not all power points worked
Very noisy room by the Elevator....Noticed after I booked no parking so I was very worried almost cancelled....Arrived and their was parking ???
