The central location and the friendly staff. Breakfast was very generous, and the beds and linen provided a comfortable night's sleep and shower facilities.
Nice breakfast buffet.
Hotel comfortable and in a reasonable location. Great that tour companies collect from hotel reception.
Nothing really, it's just a bit dated and tired looking.
Very accessable to city sights Easy walking to city venues Breakfast was nourishing with lots of choice Staff were very helpful
The immediate area is a little seedy but proved safe.
Pleasant, helpful staff Spacious room with bonus, partial view of CN Tower Comfortable bed and nice linen Powerful shower and loads of hot water Very good breakfast, with lots of choice
Decor and furnishing a bit tired Poor lighting in the room Could have done with one extra chair Should have had 2 bedside cabinets
The Staff were fabulous and very helpful. A really nice breakfast with good hot coffee.
We liked everything.
rich breakfast big room and bathroom nice staff option to book Toronto/Niagara trips at the reception desk
Location, comfort and breakfast.
Even asking for a non smoking room, my room smelled of cigarette.
We found your Hotel to be very clean, located in a nice part of Toronto, served an excellent breakfast (included in the price), and managed by a very friendly, helpful Staff.
Location, wifi, staff
soft beds and the darkness of rooms
Helpful Staff, always courteous and willing to help.Very good breakfast, always something for everyone' s taste Room was comfortable if a bit shabby, Bathroom was well equipped.Try the fish and chips on Times Square !
Property does need updating, especially in corridors. Decor rather shabby.
Staff v helpful.location helped to walkaround market n food.
Definitely the noise of aircon
Perfect spot for walking to so much and close to public transportation.
Staff gave us wrong info. twice, unlike last year when the staff was SO helpful. Breakfast very crowded with tour which could not be helped.
Large room City view Good staff Wifi All round good stay :)
Breakfast was overcrowded
The room furniture was to large for the room. It was impossible to open the dresser drews because the dresser door was to large, it hit the bed and could not open. After looking around I realized that the furniture could not be moved without rearranging the desk electrical and internet connections. We had to live out of our suit cases while there.
Not much for sitting room when at breakfast. Rooms are a bit small for a family with older children.
Good location to walk places. Excellent quick breakfast.
Very slow wifi.
I seriously didn't expect much from a Holiday Inn Express. We booked the room for the convenience of not going back to the suburbs after a baseball game. I was actually pleasantly surprised. Nice clean rooms and free breakfast which was fulldof variety.
Not much to gripe about. .however. .if you walk up a couple of blocks it's a seedier part of town.
Very close to market and night life
I stayed at a holiday inn in Rome in the 90s and it was awesome. I guess I had that standard in mind when I booked this one but I was in for a very big surprise. The hotel smelled like yeast and damp. The hallways were dark and gray. The room itself wouldn't have been that bad except for the chipped toilet and an unidentified stain in the tub that refused to go away. The breakfast was a far cry from the buffet in Rome. The breakfast "hall" was very small and cramped and you kept bumping into people around the buffet table. The staff were polite but not very approachable. I had booked a one room with a queen bed and ended up in a room with two beds. So me and my husband cramped into one which wasn't very pleasant. When I asked the reception he was so aggressive and he pointed out that it was just my preference and they didn't have to comply if they didn't have to. I would have liked to know these facts before hand. And there were no other facilities, just parking and washing machines. No pool, nothing which is another down side. All in all I'm not going to stay in another holiday inn. It's way too dark and damp for my taste.
Staff was friendly and accommodating, got us a crib at midnight. Very helpful with any questions we had. Breakfast was good and included in rate which was nice. 20 bucks for parking is very reasonable.
Wish there was a pool for the kids
The staff were excellent always ready to assist. The manager called Malon is an excellent man.I wanted to relocate to another hotel but because of the staff,I just couldn't do it.
They had no swimming pool and hot tub and the lift was old.
Enjoyable stay at Holiday Inn, good location, staff most helpful organised Hop on Hop off Bus tour, room clean and comfortable, walking distance to St Lawrence market & Brewery, breakfast hot or cold adequate, We enjoyed our stay
A 15 minute walk to the main shopping drag, and a 10 minute walk to the nearest Catholic church. Fairly clean, good towels and linens, wonderful and gracious staff. Kudos for being pet-friendly although we didn't bring our dog along. Quiet, and a little removed from the busy touristy areas, but not close to the better restaurants and eateries except for St. Lawrence Market which is only 3-4 blocks away and visible from the hotel! Thankfully, the pharmacy/grocery is also in the Market area, so we didn't have to bring too many toiletries.
Toronto being a walkable city (especially to someone who's used to walking!), it's close enough to the Kings station of the subway. But it is not a stop on the airport express shuttle, which would save you a lot of money if you used it from Pearson. Bring your own shower cap - they don't provide that here. Would've been very useful. On the other hand, their hairdryers are the good ones - not the wussy, weak ones that I've found in other budget hotels. Breakfast was straightforward and not so fancy, but served its purpose. Although, we were promised a fruit station - and we never got it in the 4 days that we stayed there.
