Holiday Inn Express Vancouver  

The staff at the Reception Desk was outstanding, they were very friendly, helpful and informative. Breakfast was great. All staff at this hotel made a special efford to greet the guests.

It was clean, staff were friendly and only a short bus drive to downtown.

We loved Vancouver, but not this hotel.

Located in an old part of Vancouver, bad surroundings, no good restaurants close by.

We were concerned at first by the area this hotel was located in but the security was amazing and we felt very safe. The breakfast was very ample and even though we were there only one night, next time we may avail ourselves of the free shuttle to downtown.

Not sure why there was no parking right in front to get our luggage out of the car.

The staff were all nice, friendly and extremely helpful. It was always clean and quiet. I didn't even mind that their wasn't any room service. I liked that their were 4 bus stops right outside and a variety of restaurants and stores. I had read some reviews before going and people made comments like "...outdated tv's..." but when I got to my room I noticed the large flat screens! This made me realize that all the comments were acknowledged. I really liked that the most.

That their wasn't an airport shuttle, but I do understand why. They should provide a shuttle from a major downtown location, so people can just shuttle there from the airport and then the hotel can just pick up from that location.

Chairs in conference room were rock hard. Neighborhood was transitional.

I especially liked the white marble tiles. they added an elegance to stairways and ballroom.

we stayed an unplanned second night and had trouble with heat in the room. we were given our first night room back and had no problems.

We tried to be eco-friendly and reuse towels, but maids consistently replaced old with new.

The hotel rooms are good but you can see that they've come to a certain age already. The staff was friendly and helpful. The included breakfast is quite simple but sufficient for a good start into your day.

The breakfast time ends quite early in this hotel. It would be nice if that time period could be extended.

Staff were very kind and helpful. Room and facilities excellent . Free wi fi. Good breakfast, self service but well stocked and easy access. Hotel shuttle to downtown areas and to the airport. The hotel has a sports bar attached which I found useful, the beer was good and I enjoyed the food which arrived very quickly and was good value and plentiful.

Location had its pros and cons, I liked Hastings Park nearby and there were shops conveniently close by but it is quite a distance from downtown, but equally that explains lack of down town prices!
