There are no microwave and fridge in the room .
Friendly staff, comfy bed.
Bar restaurant closing weekend night at 10.00.
Very efficient service. Room well appointed. Food in coffee shop excellent with good, friendly service.
Couldn't make the coffee machine work!
The location was ideal for distance relative to Halifax and shopping areas.
The thermostat appeared faulty and the room was warm upon arrival. I also had to request a receipt when checking out. It seemed the receptionist wasn't aware to give me one.
close to all interests
clothes left on back of bathroom door, also found a bug on bathroom floor believe it was a silverfish.
The air quality was not that great especially with the filters in the heat/air unit were absolutely filthy and in desperate need of cleaning. This should be an automatic thing to do throughout the year to keep the units functioning properly. Even on "cool high", the room was very warm through the night.
The outside pool is amazing!
Great location for getting to all of the areas that we wanted to see. Staff all very friendly and helpful
I liked how close it was to the ferries and bridge
staff was very confused and very rude.
Very bright, and clean
Didn't like having to pay for parking, I think it should be included with the room.
Too far from downtown
Loved the easy access to the place, convenient parking, staff, rooms, free wifi.
Beware of being overcharged. I checked in twice over a period of our 5 day stay at this hotel. We traveled elsewhere for a few days in between. On both occasions I booked via booking.com and on both occasions I was overcharged and had to meet the supervisor / manager. They corrected the overcharge but had the same excuse that they had troubles with bookings make via booking.com and the rates didn't come through. In this day and age such mistakes should never happen and if they do, I expect not to be silently overcharged. Make sure you check your bill before leaving the hotel.
Parking should be included in the price. Not extra
very easy check-in staff very friendly good parking
room to small for 4 people
The beds and pillows are super comfy. Location close to down town halifax.
Only thing I didn't like was when checking out I was told that I had to pay for parking at the hotel. After paying the price for the room, it was quite surprising to then have to pay another fee for parking on top of what I had already paid for the room. Also, it was a charge that I was unaware of until I checked out which was also unappreciated. I have never stayed at a hotel where I was charged for parking.
Location is close to halifax.
Movie system was out of order. Bathroom is very small and setup is horrible. Beds were very uncomfortable and I woke up with extreme back pain. Elevators took so long we used the stairs instead.
e Location. Prices were reasonable. Bed very comfortable. Staff were very pleasant.
Windows in room 121 were very dirty. No screen door on patio door. Price of parking was high for Dartmouth. Continental Breakfast was not included in price.
Location was close to everything.
Two out of three nights were fine, the third and last was hell. People talking loudly, shouting, laughing, slamming doors going from room to room to party until 4:30 a.m. We had no sleep.
Wi-Fy very poor.
on the last day of the stay saw a bug crawling about
Typical Holiday Inn Great restaurant!
They overcharged even though we had booking vouchers from Bookings.com!!
This hotel is located one block away from the bus depot which is a very cheap option to get to and from the airport $3.50/person vs $60 taxi ride. Buses depart every 30 minutes and take around 30 minutes, with stops, to get to the airport. Also the hotel is close to the ferry which will take you to halifax waterfront. Save your bus ticket stub as it got us on the ferry.
Thought this hotel offered a free shuttle from airport but as it turns out it's a surcharge. Save your money and ride the bus like everyone else does. Rooms are dated and not overly clean IMO. Other than that it's a functional stay.
Breakfast very poor. Room small.
Staff was Great! The GM took care of our needs immediately, and appreciated our concerns! The room had Great beds, but the ac broke down at 2am, and the toilet overflowed twice, once before bed and then again in the morning.
The rooms need updating for ac and toilets
