Centrally located in downtown Halifax, Nova Scotia, on the Link walkway system, this hotel offers lavish amenities near the Casino Nova Scotia and the World Trade and Convention Centre.
Score from 184 reviews Very good
Positioned in the heart of Halifax city center on the Link walkway system, the Delta Barrington is perfectly located to explore all this historic city has to offer. A restaurant is featured on site.
Score from 299 reviews Very good
A short drive from downtown Halifax, this Dartmouth, Nova Scotia hotel offers comfortable rooms all featuring kitchenettes and provides easy access to area attractions, including the Halifax Casino.
Score from 81 reviews Very good
Located at Halifax Stanfield International Airport, this hotel features an indoor swimming pool. Free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV are provided in all rooms.
Score from 660 reviews Wonderful
The air quality was not that great especially with the filters in the heat/air unit were absolutely filthy and in desperate need of cleaning. This should be an automatic thing to do throughout the year to keep the units functioning properly. Even on "cool high", the room was very warm through the night.
The outside pool is amazing!
Great location for getting to all of the areas that we wanted to see. Staff all very friendly and helpful
I liked how close it was to the ferries and bridge
staff was very confused and very rude.
Very bright, and clean
Didn't like having to pay for parking, I think it should be included with the room.
Too far from downtown
Parking should be included in the price. Not extra
very easy check-in staff very friendly good parking
room to small for 4 people
The beds and pillows are super comfy. Location close to down town halifax.
Only thing I didn't like was when checking out I was told that I had to pay for parking at the hotel. After paying the price for the room, it was quite surprising to then have to pay another fee for parking on top of what I had already paid for the room. Also, it was a charge that I was unaware of until I checked out which was also unappreciated. I have never stayed at a hotel where I was charged for parking.
Location is close to halifax.
Movie system was out of order. Bathroom is very small and setup is horrible. Beds were very uncomfortable and I woke up with extreme back pain. Elevators took so long we used the stairs instead.
e Location. Prices were reasonable. Bed very comfortable. Staff were very pleasant.
Windows in room 121 were very dirty. No screen door on patio door. Price of parking was high for Dartmouth. Continental Breakfast was not included in price.
Location was close to everything.
Two out of three nights were fine, the third and last was hell. People talking loudly, shouting, laughing, slamming doors going from room to room to party until 4:30 a.m. We had no sleep.
Wi-Fy very poor.
on the last day of the stay saw a bug crawling about
Typical Holiday Inn Great restaurant!
They overcharged even though we had booking vouchers from Bookings.com!!
This hotel is located one block away from the bus depot which is a very cheap option to get to and from the airport $3.50/person vs $60 taxi ride. Buses depart every 30 minutes and take around 30 minutes, with stops, to get to the airport. Also the hotel is close to the ferry which will take you to halifax waterfront. Save your bus ticket stub as it got us on the ferry.
Thought this hotel offered a free shuttle from airport but as it turns out it's a surcharge. Save your money and ride the bus like everyone else does. Rooms are dated and not overly clean IMO. Other than that it's a functional stay.
Breakfast very poor. Room small.
Staff was Great! The GM took care of our needs immediately, and appreciated our concerns! The room had Great beds, but the ac broke down at 2am, and the toilet overflowed twice, once before bed and then again in the morning.
The rooms need updating for ac and toilets
Location. Not downtown Halifax, but it didn't matter. Good views of the Harbour and it is quick, convenient, fun, and cheap to take the ferry across. The buffet breakfast is excellent.
The hotel's appearance - it looks like an office building. But don't be discouraged, it is a great place to stay.
location king bed was super comfortable choice of pillow firmness view of waterfront friendly staff helpful (i left my earrings at the hotel and they collected them and held them in an envelope for me at front desk for a friend to pick up)
A/C seemed to be a bit on the fritz, but we never asked anyone at front desk about it
staff were great.there were helpful food was good staff was awesome in the restaurant
moved rooms didn't have towels and pay for parking first hotel ever i had to do this.
a receptionist lady tried hard to resolve our problem after I was loud about our problem. a lady at the restaurant was very sweet.
1- I made reservation before we traveled. The reservation was made with Booking.com almost 3 months before our arrival, yet, when we arrived at the Hotel, they told us that there is no room for us and they had to give us a room with no AC and a bath tub that does not work ...the room was not up to any hotel standard! The day after I went to talk to the staff then and they gave us a discount for the first night we stayed there, they changed the room in the evening of the second day of our stay, however,I had to be loud about it, to make it happened. when check out, they charged us the full amount of our stay any way, when we left the hotel they told us that the discount will take place in a couple of days (repay on my credit card). After 4 days I called back the Hotel from an other province to ask about the bill correction, that's when I learnt that the discount for our room was made on papers, but no one proceeded on making the repaid back to my my card. I had to call 3 times later that week to make it happened. One of the breakfast wait staff ( a guy with a moustache ) he was so rood. never looked at me when i talked to him or asked him a question at the complete opposite of his colleagues.
The location was ideal and the buffet was good, however it was a bit expensive for the selection.
booked a double room with balcony when I arrived to check in at 5:10pm I was told that the room was not ready. At 5:10. I asked for an alternative, but was not offered an upgrade. Took a double room with no balcony rather than wait the 30 plus minutes after travelling all day. Front desk clerk, a gentleman was less than helpful and borderline rude when I questioned why my room was not ready. All he had to say was, well we're busy today. Not really my problem. Air conditioning was marginal and did not keep the room cool. Woke up in a sweat on the first night. Slept poorly as it was probably the most uncomfortable bed I'd ever slept on. Pop machine on my floor was out of order, and on about 3 other floors. There was a memo from the hotel near the tv stating that the in room movie service was not working, and that they apologized. The letter was dated early July. I checked in on August 2nd. I wouldn't stay here again.
So many of bed bugs bit me. So I didn't sleep almost. I cannot recommend this hotel.
