Located 2 blocks from McGill University and a 10-minute walk from the Place des Arts Performing Arts Center, this hotel features a rooftop sundeck with views of the Montreal skyline.
Score from 460 reviews Very good
The place is closing down, so nobody really cared about giving an excellent service.
not so clean old rooms no soundproofing very expensive parking staff
Clean and comfortable.
Stayed 2 nigt 1st one was ok but 2 nd day was during the week and there was mad construction starting 6 am !! And watchout for parking they'll try to charge you double if u dont take it out on time. 30$ a day.
nice location downtown
very very noisy, hockey teams making noise in corridors
Room was kinda run down
The location was good, only a few blocks from the underground mall which basically connects to everything. There's a jean coutu and numerous coffee places only a block away which is always convenient. The staff was very friendly and accommodating whenever we needed anything and the restaurant was pretty good.
The room we were given initially appeared to not have been cleaned at all except for the bed being made. There was urine on the toilet and black marks in the bathtub. We told the front desk and were immediately given a new room but still the cleanliness was not great. Housekeeping only made the beds and refreshed our towels, it did not seem like they did much more than that. Overall, for the price it did not meet my expectations and I don't think we will go back to this hotel.
The hotel was filled with hockey teams. Everything was well worn as you might expect from a hotel that caters to hockey teams. It was poor value for the money.
The price of the room was excessive given the poor quality of the room, especially the outdated, small and very awkward set-up for the bathroom. We had a king size bed however the pillows (and lack of them) were very small and uncomfortable. As well, the temperature in the room could not be lowered therefore made the room very hot and incapable of sleeping. The staff at check-in were very unpleasant and were engaged in a personal conversation while there were people waiting to check-in. Also the price for parking was inaccurate and ended up paying more than was indicated on the information. Overall, was a very disappointing stay at the hotel. I will definitely not return to that hotel in the future
Valet service, that was a joke. I had to have the car on the right side of the hotel for them to drive it under into the parking lot. They would not take it from the front of the hotel (so I had to drive it around which ended up taking me 20 minutes due to all the one way streets in Montreal to get back). To pick up your car you had to go to parking lot and get your key and your car. So what part was the valet service? Driving it into the underground parking? I could have easily done that myself! Housecleaning knocking on the door at 9am on a Sunday morning? Not enough towels but they were brought up promptly.
The room was spacious and clean, we were only there for one night however, there were more than enough pillows and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was very clean as well with more than enough towels as well as face ones too. Overall the room was more than great, at the price I have not one complaint about the room itself.
When first arriving to the hotel I kept in mind that it was New Years Eve and the hotel was going to be filled with young people such as myself loud and enthusiastic about celebrating the new year. However, what I was not prepared or too pleased with was the first service from the girl at the front desk. She was very absent minded, which I noticed with the couple in front of us as she forgot to print them a key. I let this go until she served me and said my room was already paid for. I knew I hadn't paid for the room considering I booked through booking and it was clearly written that I had to pay when I arrived at the hotel or once I checked out. She refused to resolve the situation stating that I had paid and if there was a problem it was not her problem to deal with Booking.com because it was a third party. Although I did not mind calling Booking myself, it was rather rude of the young woman to quickly brush me off in order to serve the next customers in line. Once I called Booking, Booking then spoke with another front girl at the desk and mentioned that there was no problem and they knew the room had to be paid for. This was my only complaint with my stay considering the young woman behind the front desk had absolutely no idea how to properly do her job or remotely even efficiently. Another note, knowing the capacity of young people amongst the hotel, perhaps more of a cleaning staff should pass around the hotel because once arriving on my floor, the hallway was absolutely filthy it was disgusting.
I didn't like the fact that I booked on this app a deluxe room which in pictures looked very spacious. When I checked in to my room and walked in it was tiny. The front desk then told me that bookings.com said to book any room. I was embaressed in front of my friends. This is the last time I will be using your service.
The Restaurant was Excellent!
Could use 4 towels in the room.
Location, parking although pricier than shown online. My pickup truck fit underneath
Continental breakfast was picked a la carte from table. Not enough food for the extra charge
