The staff at check in and out was very courteous and professional. However at the restaurant of the hotel it would help if the staff would actually smile to their customers. It is a very small thing to do to make us fell welcomed. Next time I have business in Montreal, will probably not eat on site do to that. Sorry

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The had great recommendations, was very detailed with directions/maps and also were fluent in English. While it's not the newest hotel (not luxury) the bed was very comfortable, the rooms large and the pool/hot tub very nice. The location was also wonderful. Notre Dame is a few blocks away as well as Old Montreal. St. Catherine st and it's shopping was also walking distant The bedding, while clean and comfortable, was well-worn

Buffet breakfast was excellent. Comfortable room. Confusing entrance, no sign to indicate that you had to go to the second floor to register (that I could see).

The location of this hotel was the best thing it had to offer. It is literally across the street from the metro. A couple blocks down and there's small supermarket; IGA. And there's Old Montreal, which is not too far from the hotel. The Notre Dame Basilica is within a couple blocks north as well. The beds were okay. The room was spacious and clean. The staff was okay, not as accommodating as I would like. I feel they are looking out for themselves before putting the customer first. I was there for enough time to get a feel of the vibe. Aside from asking the standard questions, that is the instinct I got. I hope this review helps. By the way, the neighborhood is in, is China town. The area is pretty quiet at night, so you're able to get some sleep. If this meets your standards, then book it. I felt the staff looked out more for their own then the customer. No real sense of putting the guest first. It's almost like you're here, okay.

The restaurant, Chez Chine, located at the main floor of the hotel provided a delicious brekfast each and every morning. The wait staff were very friendly and hospitable. The swimming pool water was very cold and the lighting there was rather dim.

When reading the reviews, I was a bit hesitant but after we got there, we were happy with our room. Some people say it's dated but I don't really care if it needs an refresh, I'm there to sleep! As long as my bed is clean and comfortable and there's hot water, I'm happy. People can be very picky for small things... The parking is a bit overpriced and there should be different kind of pillows. Both my wife and I found them to be too soft....Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay!

I liked the location of the hotel and the convenience on on-site parking. the work out room and pool, while small were useable. No WiFi the first morning for several hours - I missed a very important on-line session as a result. The TV Entertainment system in the room did not work at all and we had wanted to watch a movie. The hotel maintenance guy was not able to fix the machine. The parking was very expensive compared to lots in very close proximity to the hotel. We also had to contend with very noisy neighbours on the second evening.

This hotel is DESPERATE for a renovation....It seemed very dated, and not very clean....door handles, carpet, elevators, showers, everything seemed "worn-out"....we were VERY disappointed, from the second we aarrived, to the minute we left. The staff tried to accomodate us, but we ended up leaving before our time....think twice about going here... Thanks,

The location was perfect with easy access to city centre, metro and buses. The breakfast was great with wide availability of foods. The staff was nice and friendly. Room was quiet The hotel was not so clean. The decoration was old and dark. There was no refrigerator and safe in the room. More like a Chinese hotel as it is located in china town with the smell of Chinese food. Pool was not working with no heater. Also suna was not working.

Very convenient in location! Just a few step from the congress hall and metro. Food is easily available from downtown for your lunch and dinner and even night food. Take less than 10 minutes to walk from or to the 747 station. Old port and Old Montreal city are just within walking distance. Staff in the hotel is nice, polite and helpful. The rooms were kept tidy and clean every day I return from conference. Interesting to see an ice-maker just next to elevators and they would be important during summer time. Unfortunately the coffee maker did not work. WIFI signals were weak and slow. They may be enough for you to post text message in Facebook but are too heavy for Skype or even Facetime. The password changed periodically and you need to approach the front desk to get the password yourself. Remember to bring your own shaver, toothbrush, comb and toothpaste as they are not readily available. Nevertheless a health care product store is just 1 step opposite to the hotel, or you just directly enter the Congress Hall for the convenient store. The design and the decoration were definitely old, but probably it won’t cause much trouble if your trip is for conference.

Location: in the heart of China Town and close to the old town and downtown shopping. There was a strike by service staff and had been for some weeks. There was no cleaning or servicing of the room during our 4 day stay. Nor were the restaurant (except for breakfast) or bar open. Neither the hotel nor Booking.com informed us of this in advance allowing us to make alternative arrangements.Despite his, the hotel offered nothing by way of compensation for the inconvenience.

The location and the whirlpool The staff were on strike - and had been for 20 days - yet there was no warning of this prior to arrival. So a skeleton crew of managers were running the hotel. We had to request room service and no food was available after breakfast.

I loved the fact that we were just a few steps from a metro station that had a Tim Horton's and a convenience store. This should be advertized... When comparing hotels, I would of booked this one much faster. The room, the bar area with a fish pond was a delight. Very relaxing after walking through Old Montreal, the Port and busy Ste-Catherine, Renee Levesque streets. We ate in China town... two steps away and it was delish. We will certainly book there again. The coffee maker location and the taste of the tap water. Bottled water was available in the room but it was expensive. A short walk to the convenience store did the trick.
