It's a clean simple motel, located 10 min. from Rama. we stayed at the big chain hotels prior but this was perfect seeing as we spent only 9hrs. total in the room, for the price, this Motel was perfect.
I continue to stay at this motel. It is excellent value for the amount spent. They offer spa rooms as an option which adds a bit more if you want. There is a fridge and microwave and both work well although I could not get the time set on the Micro. Not a big deal
The man at the front desk, who I presume was the owner, was absolutely wonderful. He was kind, welcoming, and very friendly.
I didn't realize when I booked that it was a smoking room. I didn't even realize hotels offered them anymore. Although a smoker, I always book non-smoking rooms, and go outside to smoke. The room smelled a lot like smoke, but once we got the windows open, it seemed to dissipate quickly. It wouldn't prevent me from staying here again, I'd just make sure to book non-smoking.
The place and the helpful owner
There was no complain at all
grocery store and beer store across the street!
You got what you would expect for the money paid. Were only looking for a place to sleep so were only there for a short period of time.
nice touchesm flowers etc
Access to our vehicle right outside our door.
The in room coffee was an electric kettle and instant coffee :-(
Decent location (to Casino) and downtown area. Very reasonable rates for that quick stay.
Inside is a bit dated, but clean nonetheless.
EVERY THING WAS PERFECT
Motel was within walking distance of my sister's. The little we saw of the staff, they seemed very friendly.
Bed n pillows comfy, loved the fridge n TV/cable, AC, size of tub, quiet, near 24 hour grocery, cute decor, size of room was adequate
Couldn't get jacuzzi to work (but not a huge deal), too many spiders outside of door
For the purpose of our stay, we couldn't have chosen a better place. It exceeded our expectations.
The location was easy to find, and the room had a min fridge that we made use of.
The spiders. They were everywhere, found a nest of them in the bathroom.
-great location - the price for what you get is awesome... the hotel was very clean, had a fridge, microwave, chairs, flat screen TV with DVD player... outdated a bit but perfect for our stay, it rained all day on our trip and we spent all day in the room watching DVD's and it was nice to stay somewhere at the cheapest price i could find and still nice / clean and have a good sleep. Also the fridge was a plus to keep drinks cold. I would for sure stay there again.... we had breakfast at the lil diner down the street Hasty Tasty i think...prices were good.. and the food came out SO fast, very good! It's walking distance as well. Foodland is also across the street and open 24 hours so we also walked over there for treats and snacks. Also check in was quick and easy and the room was ready for us....just leave your key in the door when you leave... i like easy check outs!
-some of the other guests looked a little 'sketchy' but overall you get a great value for the price and was very quiet.
I liked the location. The room had a/c, small fridge and microwave.
Rug was very stained, old building and very outdated.
The lady at the front desk was very friendly. The bedding was clean.
The motel is in need of several upgrades carpets, flooring, painting. The room was dusty and the windows were filthy. The bathroom floor was dirty and had hair on in it and in the tub. The carpets were dirty. All in all not a place I would ever stay at again. Also no filter on the bathroom tap so water went everyone you didn't even need to shower (not that you would want to use the shower).
Location was great for the purpose of our trip
Small rooms. Run down appearance.
Very clean and comfortable. The fact that it was outdated gave it a quaint charm. Definate throw back to the 70's
Doesn't have all the ammenities of many hotel/motels but definately good value for the money.
I extended the stay by 1 night and was charged a higher rate even though l used no room service during my entire stay thus saving them money
We asked to have our rooms in close proximity to each others', and in a private location. Our request was handled to our complete satisfaction. We also liked that a convenience store was right next door, and lots of other amenities were close by.
We had to go to the front desk to ask for a bucket of ice, rather than having a central ice machine.
The owners were nice but caught them in a few lies
Don't be fooled by the pictures they display on website they are only the 3 new rooms Im a simple woman who doesn't ask for much I dont need 5 star or even 3 star but cleanliness yes The room was filthy and stunk ( I Lysoled everything and got a can of air freshener and scented candle plus bought windex and paper towels to do the screen door) they should of paid me to stay there since the room was cleaner when I left than when I arrived The toilet kept backing up The windows were so dirty you couldn't see out of them The bedding was dirty and full of black hair all over, they tried to blame it on the chamber maid but they don't even have one I watched for 3 mornings the owners simply go into rooms and bring out sheets did not replace blanket or bedspreads and though they would have the vacume outside of the rooms they never once used it When I said I was only staying if they gave me some clean sheets I was told if I left I would be charged for at least 1 night they gave me the sheets but not a clean blanket and bedspread so I didn't use them when I said how dirty the room was they should of told me about the option of the new rooms at the back which I only discoverd the last night on a walk I had gone to Orillia for my sons graduation from Georgian College which of course didnt want to miss but due to being on a disability pension I searched for affordable motels and I thought I did my homework so thats why I say dont be fooled by the pictures and obviously the good reviews are from guests who must have stayed in the 3 new rooms I wouldn't even bring my suitcase in the house when I got home because I was scared I may have brought along unwanted guests (if you know what I mean) I took my clothes out and immediately put them in the washing machine and had a nice hot shower. I will be heading back that way in the future but no way will I be going there.
Can hear through the walls very easily, outdated room, dirty carpet, dirty walls, stickers all over walls, bad odour, old windows wouldn't close , while others wouldn't open. Other peoples garbage in drawers.
Spacious room with large air-jet tub, fridge and microwave (complementary popcorn), quiet street and location.
Neighbor was a bit noisy at times, which is typical of any hotel.
