The house was not lit outdoors, so when arriving at night it was difficult to find our way across the lawn to the front door - there was no walkway, which made bringing suitcases difficult.
Staff took several minutes to answer the knock, and then were perfunctory in their welcome. We were pointed to our room, asked what time we wanted breakfast, and that was it. We had to probe for more information. When asked about a key to allow us to get back in after we got something to eat, we were told that the main outside door was not locked. The door to our room "locked" with an old hook and eye, and didn't shut securely without something blocking it in front. The wifi password was not provided, even though it was on the listing. There was no other information about where breakfast would be, where the bathroom was, etc.
The bed was uncomfortable - it was a king mattress with a queen frame, and was higher on all sides with a dip in the centre - we rolled to the middle regardless of how we moved.
The ensuite bathroom had the shortest shower and no hooks or shelf to put anything. If you're over 5'5" it would be impossible to stand.
Our breakfast had good coffee and juice, but the extremely salty potatoes, rubbery bacon and wet soggy mushy scrambled eggs did us in.
We will never stay there again, recommend to keep driving to a different town, as options are limited.
The b&b was easy to find, since it is not a small city - everything is easy to find.
