Although the bed was too hard, the sheets were fresh and relaxing, the room was clean, the staff were very helpful, and curtious. I didn't like that you had to be at the breakfast thingy by 9am or you lose out, and that the breakfast was included in your hotel price, you shouldn't have to pay for something you don't receive, I also found the bed to be too hard and my body didn't enjoy it, I woke up with a sore back and hips, I tried to look out the window to enjoy the view, but couldn't see much through all the dirt on the windows, I think $80 would be a more appropiate price for the room.

Location only. I would not have stayed there had I known the condition of the hotel, the unhelpfulness of the staff, and if I had other options. It smelled. The staff were unhelpful, and actually misdirected me for the parking. Very frustrating. The bathroom was not clean, and the bathmat was damp. There were noisy people at 3 am., I was there on a Thursday night for business.

friendly staff and rooms were very clean. Elevator broke and we had to walk up to the 7th floor, but it was repaired within a few hours. It is an old hotel and needs some updating but is great value for Toronto.

Location is good. I did see very bad reviews about this hotel only after I booked it. So I was expecting a poor quality, but it was beyond belief when I stayed there. There was a door in the room which connected to the next room, so I could hear everything from the next room. It was like they were staying in my room. The couple was loud so I couldn't sleep at all night...Do not book the king room!

The availability of coffee 24hrs. The staff were kinda confused when checking out. Wanted to pay everything upfront thought I did but really it was just a hold. Staff did not know how to use the system. The rooms were cold, the hot water took forever to come through. The hallways were noisy. Taps were leaker, shower was broken. Overall not a pleasurable stay.

The price and location were the best! I love the exposed brick in my room as well. Nice interior designs! It would have been awesome to have a mini fridge in the room so we didn't have to use ice and a cooler. Other than that it was great!

The location was good for where we wanted to be. The beds were rock hard and the room smelled. It was very uncomfortable and we checked out after 1 night because it was not a pleasant environment.

Location to great shopping, but nothing else. Wouldn't recommend this location, the customer service was poor, finding the location was difficult and my room was not clean,as there was still food from the last occupent...a half of a cinnamon loaf to be exact and the garbage in my bathroom was also dirty. No continental breakfast as mentioned on the site...not a happy customer.

The only good thing about this hotel is the location. The place is outdated entirely, there is no correlation between price and comfort. My husband and I stayed there 4 days, but if we are ever in Toronto again, I will pay the difference in price to stay at a better hotel. The AC unit in the room had a leak, so the entire time we were there, we had water all over the floor. It took forever to get hot water in the shower. The filtered water in the hotel lobby was always empty, when I asked if it would be replaced, the evening manager told me that they had to order more and there would not be a delivery for two days. The next morning the filtered water was there; they kept filling it up with tap water. The rugs in the halls and in the rooms are old and smell. The continental breakfast isn't much to write home about. We do not recommend this hotel.

The area surrounding the HoJo was nice...Whole foods was next door and there was shopping a couple blocks away. We booked the HoJo so for budget reasons through booking.com and were very disappointed upon arrival. Our reservation was for 4 people and when we arrived we had to pay an additional $20can a night for the 4th person. I explained we had the reservation set for 4 and they said booking.com doesn't have the same policies as they do. We never would have stayed here if we knew that upfront as we could have stayed somewhere nicer. The room was old and dirty and the towels smelled like smoke and had it been budget-hotel pricing we would have been ok with it but to pay for parking and the extra charge a night we paid well over $200can a night. None of us will ever stay at a HoJo again.

Great location. Great King size bed in the room that was very comfortable. The front desk service was disappointing. Waited over 15 minutes for someone to show up at the front desk. I basically had to hunt the person down so that I could register. Generally the lack of good customer service was needs to be improved. The actual room looked old and tired. Needs an update immediately.

The location is prime in Toronto. Close to all amenities, including subway, grocery stores, and upper-end shopping. The wi-fi is free and very fast. All in all one of Toronto's best at a reasonable budget.
