Howard Johnson Express Inn

Ils m'ont demandé un dépôt de 200$ et fait payé mon hôtel complètement à l'arrivée. Ils ont demandé une carte d'identité qu'ils ont voulu photocopié et que j'ai carrément refusé. Car ils étaient en mesure de m'indentifier sur place. L'employé a hésité s'est référé à la propriétaire qui a fini par accepté de ne pas photocopier ma carte d'identité. Ils ont même osez me dire qu'il garderait ma carte d'identité jusqu'au lendemain. C'est inaceptable! Le petit déjeuner était compris et honnêtement peu intéressant. Pommes, pain, confiture, café ou thé, jus de pomme, tasses en carton sans couvercle pour apporter. La propreté de la chambre était limite, papier peint délabré, et chauffage désuet. Fenêtre ferrmait mal ou pas.

Location

Our room was not cleaned (hair on pillows, condoms in garbage can, socks left under the bed). It was an experience i would not hope for any other guest. I would not stay at this property again.

The staff didn't seem trusting of the customers. The room was not lead on to what it actually is. Had to wait a long long time for service Dis-organized Not very good communication. (Online and in person)

Went to take shower and got only cold water. About 1 hour later tried again and was hot. Toilet paper hard to pull as right next to your body. Halls very old and dungee looking. Door opposite my room had strip of sheet metal across top to fix it, Poor lighting in room even with window blinds open very dark and room very small in size.

Initially the price was right and it was close enough to the airport with a car.

The room had a strong smell of chewing tabacco when i first arrived. There was no hot water available for a shower in the morning. I let the water run for 10 mins but stayed cold. The hotel is right against Macleod Trail so it can be a bit loud at times with traffic.

Price was great but I guess you get what you pay for.

Room was dark, dingy, and dirty. Light bulbs burned out, toilet paper holder falling off wall, holes in bedding, thin thin blankets, pillows lumpy with no shape to them. Office personnel said they were giving us a room that had just been renovated, at no extra charge. If that was renovated I shudder to think what the "regular" room would have been like. Breakfast was included and served from 6-10am. We were there by 0930h and there were 2 pieces of bread left. 3 staff members were sitting at desk and made no effort to replendish food. Several other people came in later and only then did they put out more bread. The eating area was dirty, unstocked..If there would have been anyother hotel with a vacancy we would have been out of there so fast. When we came home I left my suitcase out side in the cold for 2 nights and then evwerything was taken from outside and into my washer directly. I was very concerned about bringing home some 4 legged friends!!! What has happened to the Howard Johnson Inns? They used to be a very reputable chain. Would I recomment it to anyone-NO|||||

Location was great for where we needed to be. The breakfast was adequate. Room was clean, bathroom was clean, amenities were there.

Noisy, walls and ceiling (we were in a main level) are paper thin. You HEAR everything from the neighbours. Parking lot is difficult if you drive anything other than a mid-sized car. Our AC didn't work, so the room was warmer than we like to sleep.

I depended on the Howard Johnson name when I booked this hotel. It was worse than terrible. Door frame was broken, therefore no security. We had to put our luggage in front of door. Towels were insusfficient and threadbare. Asked for more, but did not get any. Skimpy pillows and sheets. Bathroom door would not open or close all the way. Extension cords running all around the floor. Could not use coffee pot unless it was put on the floor. No tea. Clock radio would not work. Bathroom fan hanging from ceiling. Only 1/4 roll of toilet tissue. Had to use our own. Empty juice jar at breakfast.No staff to replenish. Used stationary. Could not check in at check in time. Had to wait. Just all around dirty. A real dump.

Friendly staff. Good coffee in the room. I had to reschedule the dates of my stay and they handled that very well. Close to the Chinook centre and a few great pubs.

At check in I had to leave a 200 dollar deposit. I was surprised and the young man who checked me in was not as polite / professional as he could have been. (Turns out the $200requirement for the deposit was clearly stated on the booking form but I had not read it!)

The staff behind the desk were great

The entire hotel the door didn t close the toilet ran then we asked to be moved we were the walls are so thin I could hear people next door talking we were interrupted in the Middle if the night with a pizza delivery and the room was set at 25 degrease and took Forever to Co Down

Other tennants very noisy. Smell of weed constant and very strong. Working girls coming and going all night. Drunkin arguements and partys all night long. Very sleezy place. Not suitable for kids.

I didn't like feeling like I was in a low income apartment building, scared to walk down the halls. Stunk like mold and smoke in the hallways and room. Room didn't warm up even after cranking thermostat. Room was tiny. Overall worst hotel I've ever stayed in.

-Uncomfortable bed -very smelly, stinky room (cigarette smoke stench was overpowering) -burn marks on comforter -burn marks on chair -difficult time breathing, asthma due to smoke -Heater in 2nd room broken -while showering dirt from walls was crumbling and gathering in corner of bathtub ledge -side lamp not working.

This place is a dump. Dont go here - its worth 20 dollars more to get a room that doesn't give you nightmares. The smell, the nasty sheets, the old bed. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone

Will not stay when I have to give a copy of nmy drivers licence and credit card??

Staff dont speak or understand english windows were absolutely filthy cleaning crew is rude No bottom sheets on the beds, matteresses were stained. Mold on the roof. Had to wait to 15min to check out, the fellow saw me come in and then went to eat breakfast in next room. Looked like the whole staffs' family were in the breakfast room, we couldn't get in so we left and had breakfast elsewhere

I liked the room until I tried to check out!!!

They called me a liar and robbed me for 250 dollars. They said I smoked in the room and the room did smell like smoke but it was from people downstairs. I am a non smoker of cigarettes and would have called the police about this but I had a small amount marijuana on me and did not smoke that in the room. But didnt want to be arrested. Im should make it one of my life goals to burn the place to the ground and leave them wthout jobs
