clean, good location
Central location to explore Muskoka and convenient for all supplies and restaurants - super position just off highway for fast exits north and south . Room was clean and comfortable .
No problems or dislikes
Bed was comfy, and coffee along with tea was great! Traffic was noisy, but the stay was GREAT!
Rusty towel rack in the bathroom...made clean towels look BAD!!
Location and friendly staff.
Beds were very uncomfortable. No coffee shop or place to eat.
Location was good. Price was good. Bathroom was clean and bright. Parking lot excellent.
Carpet in hallways and especially the stairwells was quite worn and dirty. Carpet in room didn't look clean. Mattresses were quite soft. No breakfeast facility. The air in the hallway and to a lesser extent in the room was stale.
grunginess of the place. The fact it reeked of cigarette smoke and it was obvious that smokers stayed there. Yuk.
No breakfast or restaurant
Comfortable bed, good location.
No Wi-Fi that we could not get. Bathroom door needed to be wiped down, lots of drippy dirt stains. TV remote sticky and gross. Bathroom taps hard to get water flow and hot water out of. Staff made no eye contact or verbal greetings while coming and going during our stay, only while checking in and out. Would have to think about staying here again. Probably stay elsewhere.
They allowed dogs.
Hotel outdated for the price.
The hotel was a great location for our stay. Rooms are very basic but comfortable and clean. The staff very friendly and helpful.
A coffee maker would have been wonderful. The one cup maker forces you to go out to coffee shops.
Very friendly staff, especially the older gentleman who checked us in. Great person!
A little expensive for the time of year and location.
Clean, friendly staff, good location, near shops, McDonalds, Tim Hortons。。。
I disliked everything about this hotel. I booked a room with a King bed. We were given room 118. Around 12:30 am, we were startled awake by the people in the room above us. Thumping on the floor, thumping on the wall, dragging furniture, dropping heavy things on the floor. We listened to that for 2 hours, then I called the front desk. Supposedly the guy went and spoke to them. If anything, it got worse. I called again. He hung up on me. I called back and I told him I wanted it stopped. He said he would talk to them again. It got worse. I called again, and finally I told him that if I cannot get any sleep, he won't either, cause I will keep calling every 10 mins. He moved us to Room 102 at around 3:30 in the morning. This room had 2 double beds in it. We finally settled down and fell asleep around 4:00 A.M. Shortly after 6:00 am, we were awaken by the same types of noises in the room above us. Thumping on the floor, the wall, really really loud talking, dropping and dragging stuff. So we had about 2 hours sleep. When I was checking out, they were apologetic and offered me a 50% discount, I refused and asked for all my money back. They told me ok, I could leave now, they haven't charged me as yet. So, we left. That was the worst experience I have ever had staying in a hotel.
As a woman travelling alone I felt very secure. I liked the location to food shopping, etc as it made it very convenient. The staff was extremely helpful when I had to end my stay rather suddently.
Extremely helpful staff: friendly and happy to provide information and tips
The hotel has not been updated and seemed somewhat dismal. We were charged the rate on the back of the door. It was exorbitant for what was offered.
Beautiful area to explore Beautiful lakes
No shopping available - downtown poor
Not clean. Old and dated. Smells. Room was like a dungeon. A/C was noisy. Bed sagged in the middle. Sofa had years of built-up grime in it. Toilet door didn't close properly. Felt like we were staying at the Bates Motel.
Location. However, you are trading on your reputation I fear in this run down property.
The whole structure should be renovated . The big cans of old buts on the tables by the back door are disgusting. The carpets throughout should be all ripped out and replaced with a hard surfaced flooring. In our room 218 the sink stopper would not stop the water from leaking out rapidly and the shower control would not control the water temperature. The air conditioner is terribly noisey but when turned off the room quickly became too hot.
