Excellent staff. Big rooms, very clean, comfortable bed with great pillows, I mean, what more do you need?
The location was fantastic, the hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating....for the price this hotel has great value. Very outdated decorating but I would recommend if you are purely looking for a value stay withou worry.
The restaurant attached to the hotel is a disgrace. Half the time wasn't open and wouldn't open on time! The restaurant staff didn't seem to care about their jobs or service.
I expected this hotel to be shabby, but was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. The fixtures are older, but everything worked well. I would stay here again. Very good value.
There was a bit of noise transfer from upstairs and next door.
Parking space near lobby, staffs are friendly
Front desk was very friendly. Everything corresspond to the price almost exactly. The room quality matched exactly with price as well. I liked the location of the liquor store right in front.
My perceived value and cost were the same. Hope some more value is added in the future
Absolutely spotlessly clean ,comfortable bed and furniture
comfortable beds very clean friendly staff
no complementary breakfast
Great Location, accepts pets, clean and friendly staff, good hotel to stay at
The bed and pillows were of poor quality, it gave me a back ache. The restaurant was only open for breakfast, the menu consisted of 4 item, 2 of which were cancelled.
Hotel was quiet and in a good location. Room was large, clean and bright. Easy access to main highway and downtown. Free parking. Great for an overnight stay.
Hotel is old style. Needs another updating (e.g., new carpeting). No flat screen TV. Fan in the bathroom didn't work.
I liked the comfort of the beds. Excellent! Rabbits running wild in the parking lot.
Price, good bed, nice breakfast staff.
Hard to get into parking lot. Liquor store and dark tunnel on property. Rough area. No protein or fresh fruit at breakfast.
the site says kitchen open for breakfast lunch and dinner. I went with my 8yo daughter who was having surgery at local hospital.. When I got there I was informed the restaurant is only open for breakfast.. Not lunch and dinner.. Like website says.. When I asked the guy at front he said they lease it out and don't really care what hours restaurant sets.. If I had known this previously I would never have stayed there since my baby girl had surgery I could not walk all over town to get her food.. They knew why I was coming and could have told me this.. And update there website saying they don't have an open restaurant.. For 3 meals..
Pleasant staff, clean bathroom with plenty of towels
loudly creaking floor from the room above.
The hotel has a decent location, and the staff were great! The room was a decent size and comfortable. Happily provided extra pillows when we asked for them.
The hotel decore is a bit dated, but the hotel wasn't the destination.
Close to Downtown Nanaimo Nice river and waterfalls next to the hotel
No elevator for the first floor??
Cobwebs in room
close to ferry and down town
It was dirty and very unpleasant staff
The evening shift desk clerk was friendly and helpful. It was good to have a restaurant on the premises for breakfast, since there didn't appear to be anything else anywhere close to go to for the meal.
The inn was difficult to find and I felt like it was in a hollow. The bathtub/shower didn't have an anti-slip rubber mat when we arrived, and we had to ask for one.
Staff at front desk were exceptional!
The restaurant attached to the hotel was very old and needs updating. Also, very disappointed that they would not honor early riser prices when we arrived at restaurant at exactly 10:00.
I have several allergies and was very disturbed by the mold on the crout in the shower. Also there was mold on the plastic liner on the drapes. When the carpets start to smell wet.its time to do a good clean. Would not stay here again. Sorry
Size of room was good. Very pet-friendly, we appreciate that! Proximity to park was great! Better stay here than a prior stay at Best Western.
Could have used a couple of extra pillows. Otherwise, fine.
The location is ok
Bunch of hairs in the spare towels! Staff not very friendly! Mattresses are very old! Bathroom very old
I loved the location, the simplicity, the value, and the very friendly and welcoming staff from the managers at the front desk to house keeping. It will definitely be my first choice when I return to Nanaimo.
