Bad bed, bad breakfast, bad staff, very filthy room, very filthy hall ways. Don't know whatvelse to say. My worst hotel ever.
The location is close to the Zoo and other attractions. The hot tub tempeture wasn't too hot for kids. The price was great for a cheap family weekend trip, perfect for saving a few bucks to put on leisure.
The pooll opens at 10 am when check out it at 11 am? What about a early swim or workout in the pool in the morning? Impossible. The noise from outside at night, we heard everything. The free breakfast : low selections of food and toasters take forever.
the staff were very helpful and friendly
facilities need painting
no towels in the pool, better if you have lotion, breakfast should have more variety, tv should be change into LCD, not working properly
I didn't like the hot mugginess of the rooms, the musty smell of urine and the beds were old.
Pool was open late and it seemed to be in OK condition. Breakfast in the morning was OK as well.
Cleanliness was terrible. Front desk rep was not very friendly, almost rude to say the least. I felt unease, particularly traveling with family. It seemed totally unsafe. I will not consider any future stays there. This hotel is a disgrace as a Howard Johnson.
infested with mice and would not give customers a refund, they just said it was due to the rain
The beds were comfortable
the Wi Fi, A/C and mini fridge worked, and continental breakfast was included; parking was free while at many other hotels between DVP and , Warden Ave, there would have been a daily parking fee.
The desk chair was missing; we should have had one since we noted that other rooms had a desk chair; the carpet did not appear to have been vacuumed thoroughly; lighting in the room was inadequate. The staff member at the Front desk gave very poor directions on how to locate our room; he implied that we had to drive to the area where the room was located in order to access the room; did not say that we could also get to the room via interior hallways since we had already loaded our bags onto a cart. So, we loaded bags back into the car, muddled around in the darkened parking lot and eventually found an entrance door, and then walked forever along interior hallways with our bags to find the room (no carts in sight since we were far way from the main lobby). The section of the parking lot where we parked did not feel secure.
Staffs attitude is very good WiFi connectivity is good room is clean & neat
complementary Breakfast Location
That the pool was open from 10am to 10pm
Asked for joining room and close to the pool and that request was not met. Once we checked in we asked to be moved to have joining rooms and they couldn't accommodate us. This would of been a lot better as we are family and kids had to enter hall to change rooms all the time. Was not happy as this was a request I have asked for when rooms were booked :(
terrible place to stay
I found the building was neglected. The continental breakfast had no variety. The property was very difficult to find initially.
Staff was really nice and get willing to help out when possible.
The carpet in the room was extremely dirty and hadn't been cleaned properly in a very long time. Left all of our feet black.
The room itself was clean, roomy and the bed was comfortable. Pool and spa temperatures were good. The location for our purposes was good
First impressions on arrival were rather dismal and rundown. The outside grounds sure could use some sprucing up. Pool hours were not good - should be open much earlier than 10 am. and both evening and morning there were no towels. /wi-fi was intermittent. It would be nice to include fruit and yogurt at the breakfast bar.
Borderline maintenance. Breakfast limited.
So dirty.The staffs are rude.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The appearance of the motel is very disappointing. It really needs a serious face lift. The room was renovated and nice and clean. Once I got past the shock of the outside of the motel the room was fine. The breakfast that's included was very basic.
The appearance of the motel and parking lot was awful. I would have left if the room hadn't been okay.
location was perfect for our trip and there was a small fridge in the room, which is very handy for takeouts. Would be nice to have a microwave to go with it.
shabby facilities, the hotel looks old and tired. A lick of paint could go a long way. Dirty washrooms- lots of hair in the bathtub from previous guests. The front desk lacking manners, rude and unwelcoming. Extremely loud heater/AC, impossible to sleep due to noise. Highway noise gets through the windows all night long. Guests walking and doors slamming in the hallway all night long.
The staff is really rude gives attitude and won't allow u to talk to the manager to complain
Price was reasonable.
It was not clean, the halls, cigarette burns on the floor and dingy.
Short Distance to downtown, ten minutes (not rush hour), although the cabs cost a lot ($60 one way). Breakfast was adequate.
Run down. Staff difficult and hard to understand. There are obviously people living there for months on end. Half of the parking lot is taken by a limo company who must have an office in one of the rooms. Everything except the front entrance was very run down. Cabs were very expensive, $60 for a ten minute drive was above what I was willing to pay because it would offset the cost advantage of staying outside of the city.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Bed was very comfortable and the pillows gave support. It was quiet even though the hotel was fully booked. No banging doors or noises from the hallway.
Parking area left much to be desired. Was a bit worried about leaving my vehicle parked there, but my worries were unfounded.
The bed was comfortable, the room clean, the bathroom was clean and well appointed. Was offered an upgrade at no extra charge.
The outside of the building and the entrance hallways are in need of repair and cleaning up, not an appealing sight when first moving in. The buffet breakfast was disappointing, not much variety and the toaster barely worked, even the staff member commented on it.
