breakfast was good bed was comfortable bathroom was very clean location was ok
we weren't told that we could use the small area outside the room or the balcony -- it felt a bit confining
Staff helped with questions asked Location was close to town
The young host held a party downstairs the first night (of 2) we were there. Her company was loud & laughing until 2 - 2:30 a.m. making it impossible to sleep. We needed to be well rested for an event the next day and consequently, were fatigued. Unprofessional behaviour. Empty pizza boxes all over the kitchen the next day. Floors were not clean. No one to greet us for breakfast (day 2).Finally, the host arrived in pyjamas and gave us muffins (part of breakfast) presented in the grocery store box. The host allowed their 2 pre-schoolers to run about and bang on walls in the same room we ate our breakfast. Their cat jumped up on my lap during the meal. No prior inquiry re pet allergies. They had 2 cats and a dog. The home had an odor of animals. There was a blow up bed (with only 1 sheet) in the middle of the bedroom making it difficult to move about the room. Just 2 of us staying in the room. The host was no where to be found at check out, so could not provide feedback. It was overpriced+ (poor value for the money) and would not meet any appropriate standard for a B & B.
The room was beautiful and had a private bathroom.
We checked in late in the afternoon. I did not recognize the sitting area shown in the picture anywhere. At the time we were there it appeared to be staffed by a young girl and her roommate. We were shown from the entranceway directly to our room. The toilet did not flush at first and we had to plunge it. The shower drained al little slow but not a big concern. We only had a part roll of toilet paper and had to ask for another roll. The Kleenex box was almost empty. There were no drinking glasses in the bathroom or anywhere else to get a drink of water from the tap. Luckily I had an empty water bottle or would have had to drink from the tap.. There was no lock on the door so we were a little concerned about leaving our belongings when we went out. We were charged an extra $10. for bedding for the airbed for the third person (which was an extra $35.) and $15.00 for the dog on top of the room fee. We asked for breakfast at 8 am because I had a 9 am appointment. In the morning no one was around, we looked around the kitchen, waited a bit then packed the car and left. We came back later to settle up, spoke to the owner (mother of the young girl) by phone and asked for a discount since we had to buy our breakfast. The bill had already been charged to my credit card. The owner promised a $30. reduction to be taken off my credit card.
We were glad to find something within Port Perry as we were rained out of our campsite in the evening.
I wish breakfast was served earlier than 9 as we are up and out by 730. Tried to find and make coffee for myself but was unable to.
The smelly dirty house which included the whole bathroom I.E. , toilet bowl and counter (which was located down the hall), the dirty kitchen, floors, cat drinking out of the sink(3 outside cats on premises & 1 dog), cigarette butts at the entrance outside, lawn not mowed, keyless entry not working properly. This place is disgraceful. We have requested a total refund but so far, no response. Would not recommend this place to anyone. We were fortunate in finding another very excellent B&B in Port Perry. Will certainly recommend it!
spacious room, very beautiful and a lovely breakfast. And than the sweet little girl!
We liked the room and bathroom. The room was clean and nicely appointed.
No comfortable place to sit in the room. No beverages available in the evening. Babysitter greeted us and did not offer breakfast only juice in the morning. There was no owners to greet us in the evening or to say fairwell in the morning. I, nor my friend who travelled with me would recommend this B&B.
Attention to detail very poor. Cleanliness very poor with lots of animal hairs and smells throughout the guest area.We met a very large German Shepard (Hudson I presume !) bounding down the stairs from where our room was located so he obviously was not contained and had the run of the guest area. I think it brings the meaning of the B&B being pet friendly to a whole new level !!!!
The family atmosphere.
Your site seemed to indicate the B&B was on a lake or pond. To our surprise it was in the middle of suburbia. Had we known we would have looked elsewhere. But overall we got what we wanted a good night sleep and a good breakfast. Your very young employee ( 14 month old) was a treasure for 2 grandfathers.
Room was nice and clean. Lynn's daughter was very friendly and made us a nice breakfast.
We did not know it was in someone's home so that was a surprise however we enjoyed our stay.
I don't like anythings because when I arrived there was two dogs free any I didn't fell conftbule
had trouble turning off the TV and music
comfort of the suite and the bed, and flexibility of the owners
Very nice home and nicely decorated. Owners were very friendly.
Couldn't stay longer!
The breakfast was amazing and so was the bed. Great people, friendly caring and awesome. We would definetely go again, we got saved to stay and were so welcome. It was just out of this world
Being close to Lake Scugog and also Port Perry makes a good combination of shopping, eating, going to museums and wildlife watching.
The restaurant prices are high
clean, friendly owners, and a great breakfast
2 cats and 2 dogs and not enough A/C
