I loved the locaiton and the room was lovely The concierge was extremly indiscreet when I arrived at the front reception. I had preferred to pay cash (debit) for my room & he announced very loudly that there was an issue with my c/c (which I had used ti simply book the room). I thought that to be very unprofessional and rude of him. I don't plan to go back but it is a lovely hotel.

Great location, walking distance to shopping on Ste Catherine and restaurants in Old Montreal. Although spacious, with large window, the room was dimly lit, especially the bathroom, which made the it seem dingy.

The Hyatt Regency in Montreal is a well located hotel with some attractive features. The location is at the heart of downtown and the rooms are in an amazing condition given the size of the hotel. There is a very helpful concierge at the lobby that will help you answer any question you may have in the city. Room service is quick and all requests are dealt in a friendly manner. There is an awesome fitness facility with a pool as well as a gym that will keep you busy. The elevators in the hotel portray a major obstacle into getting to the rooms. So much so that at some point of my stay I gave up on taking the elevators and just used the stairs. There is a very small number of elevators compared to the number of guests at the hotel. Upon the end of our trip I have decided I would like to stay a few extra nights at the hotel and was willing to negotiate a reasonable price but the front desk agent did not put any effort what so ever into keeping the business in the hotel (even though I was already there for 3 nights) And only offered me a redicilous rack rate. I have chosen a different hotel nearby instead for the fraction of the cost.

The deal for two nights. The great pool area and steam and sauna rooms.Beds comfortable.Good massage service. The room was old. Lights had to be individually turned on,no master switch at door. Room remained darkish. Tripping around looking for lights. Bathroom old-nicer showers in the sauna area. No relaxing chairs in sauna area or seats in the changing room, only a bench. Nice but limited.

Location was good. An older hotel getting a little run down - small rooms and small bathrooms. Front desk staff were good, but very poor service in the lounge staff on the main floor. We stopped for a drink before a show on two occasions. The first time it took 15 - 20 minutes to get the waitperson's attention. The second time we got no attention whatsoever despite the fact that there were at least 6 staff at the bar, a couple on their cell phones. We eventually just gave up and left, as did two tables sitting next to us. Service in the restaurant for breakfast was also poor. We also noticed that the lounge area in the morings still had all of the empty glasses and beer bottles sitting on the tables from the night before. Likewise, dishes in the hall from room service tended to not be picked up for a long time. I will say that our housekeepers for the room were very good and prompt. We wouldn't stay here again and would not recommend this hotel to friends.

The location was very good, near shops, restaurants, art and culture and the metro. The reception staff were very pleasant and knowledgeable. There was a staff strike so the pool and leisure centre was shut which was very disappointing. Also there was a reduced cleaning service in our room. The tea and coffee was minimal and no liquid milk was available in the room which was pretty poor in a four star hotel.

Reception staff was very friendly, informative & helpful (Special thanks to Peter). Delicious Breakfast Buffet. Great location (close to transportation & lots of tourist sites and restaurants). Room could use updating. Hotel workers were on strike so some essential services were not available. I think the hotel should have reduced the room rate to compensate for the inconveience.

We were disappointed. There was a staff strike, so no restaurant no room cleaning and we were not allowed to use the pool which is one of the reason we chose this hotel. In addition, all the features that were mentioned on the website (such as terrasse access and dock station in room) were only for the elite rooms which are 50$ more per day. This is not mentioned on their website thus lying to the client. Will not stay at that hotel again. Very disappointing. Good location. Close to bus and metro stations. In the middle of the art district. Good breakfast although expensive (25$ per person). Nice lounge bar.

I had to move room twice due to: First room: entered to hear a very loud air conditioning unit Second room: was on 12th floor right opposite to a major concert that was going on. I was staying with my 1 year old and it kept us both up until midnight. My 1 yr old didn't sleep well after that either. Why on earth did the staff out us in that room knowing there was a concert? The website did not say anything about this major event being on, not did anyone tell us upon check in. I had no idea this event was on at all. The curtain rail entirely fell down from the ceiling, next to me son's cot. I have pictures! The tv movie channel kept on not working in the second and third rooms I was in. The front desk staff did not charge me for one Internet usage and two movies. This was nice but I feel that I should have been offered a free night at a Hyatt, at the very least!!!!!! There were so many problems... As outlines above. It was just a terrible stay.
