What I loved most is the hospitality of the staff and their friendliness attitude, spacious rooms and fast service response.
Although the rooms I booked included free wifi, on the second leg of my booking they wanted to take it away, but I spoke to front desk and sorted out.
Check out great, location and room good.
When we checked in though the room was cleaned there was a used towel behind the door. The second day when we got back to the room at 3 pm the room was not cleaned. This hotel is too big and impersonal.
Everything but the possibility to have a quiet night of rest and peaceful sleep.
As soon as we came back from dinner (10pm) a party was on in the next room - called reception - they had to pound on the door for several minutes before people inside heard music & noise was that loud - the base of music, shouting, doors banging shut on our floor. It quieted down for a while but started again during the night - called reception again; no rest possible. Personnel was apologizing but sleep was impossible.
Close to Sky train for transportation to and from the airport. Skytrain also took us to BC Place Soccer Stadium for Vancouver Whitecaps Game, it is also good for the Hockey Stadium. Climate is temperate and the area gorgeous. Many wonderful museums. So many things we have not gotten to do yet. Need to go back for the whale watching, museums, etc.
You need to remember to ask concierge which end of town is lively on the weekends. One is very lively the other very quiet on weekends. One more dedicated to entertainment and visitors and the other to business.
The proactive, professional and friendly reception staff
excellent service, very friendly staff, large room with excelllent equipment
Internet acces / WLAN not included always being asked for upgrading the Internet Speed is very annoying and not state-of-the-art
Charge for wifi, reception got me to join Hilton honors to avoid which is bascically signing up for their mailing list
We spent 3 nights in Hyatt Regency, the lady who help us check in is very friend and nice, we are a family of 3 travel together, and she help us to get additional trailer bed, we were very happy there :)
the shower head in bathroom looks fancy but water is not strong.
I liked the room comfy bed plenty of of space
I didn't like anything
Great Location. Rooms were modern, clean and comfortable. Starbucks in lobby. Easy access to sky train. Walking distance waterfront, restaurants and shopping.
Bed, while the mattress was comfortable the bed was very noisy. Room was near elevator which was a mistake. The smart elevators are very efficient and our first experience.
everything about this place is great, if you are wanting to be in the middle of the city this is a perfect place to stay.
there isnt anything i didnt like about this place.
Everything was excellent here - from unloading the car with our baggage, to delivering it to our room, checking in was so easy with the friendly staff. Even getting a taxi was so simple and it arrived in minutes few!
Homeless people sleeping on the street right outside the hotel. Not the hotel's fault but the city needs to do something about that. It takes away from the great city image which we enjoyed.
Overall I was very pleased with the room and facilities. The view was great and the location perfect.
The hassle at the front desk when we got there. It was our 10 year anniversary, we booked in advance. Then we get there and sorry we don't have any of those rooms left. We can try to move someone or you can have something you didn't want. Then the waiting to get it sorted. It worked out and our room was lovely but we had the same hassle at every hotel on our trip.
Early open Starbucks.
Rooms were a little on the expensive side.
Fantastic views from 32nd floor room, great reastaurant, excellent cocktail bar, perfect location.
1. The rest staff, the room attendants , bell desk are very good.
1. the front office on phone was curt and not well informed. they collected all money and still made mistake on the date of check out. We were in very embarrassing position at restaurants, cleaning staff and internet. lost valuable time too. 2. not noticed we would have landed paying two days extra. this was horrible and unjust. 3. your shaving blades are macabre. it is a torture to use and this was not there when we visited last year. 4. The closet in 2618 smelled urine. this can be still confirmed at your end. this was never attended.
concierge was knowledgable ,but cryptic
Literally everything had to be requested multiple times- turndown service, maid daily service, etc. Towels were almost threadbare; bath amenities minimal. NOT A 4 star experience at all!
Most things about the hotel were nice it was fairly modern, had a Starbucks in the lobby, the staff was very courteous and helpful.
It was kind of expensive. Some of the finishes such as the interior doors of the room and trim were not the type of quality I would expect in a hotel like that and they also needed to be cleaned, however the manager was extremely responsive and had it cleaned right away.
Hotel was postioned downtown, with easy access. Good internet around the hotel and rooms making business easier. Rooms are ergonomically desiged and very functional. Comfort level was great.
Breakfast was poor and expensive, very poor value for money. The breakfast room doesn’t open early enough. It needs some simplier options such tea and toast/croissant with out the huge price tag. The gym and pool area was functional, but small for a hotel of this size only 6 sun loungers and not serviced with drinks etc.
The Hyatt Regency has a great fresh contemporary feel in a brilliant location with very comfortable features and super helpful staff
Elevator system. Clean of facilities .Friendliness os staff. Food in restaurants. Rooms. Location. Help when needed from staff.
Lobby. Has uncomfortable chairs and sofas. Its chopped in different pieces.
Very nice upscale Hotel in the center of vancouver, starbucks in the Lobby so you can easily skip the quite expensive hotel breakfast. Very nice restaurants, very helpfull staff however extremely overpriced internet if you would like to use it in your room!
